I've stayed in worse ...

completely satisfied

It was pretty old but not bad.

We were charged an extra dollar (a separate charge) and have no idea why. Very outdated, beds were very uncomfortable.

I am not overly picky when it comes to a hotel room for an overnight stay, and I don't expect much for a cheap stay ($63) BUT...I do expect clean. Our findings: Popcorn between the mattresses (when checking for bugs), mirror hung very crooked, handle missing from dresser, sagging mattresses, cracks in the shower walls, dirty bathroom walls, desperate need of re-caulking, stained kleenex in the kleenex box, the shower handle fixture was hanging off the wall, the door frame in bathroom was rusting and flaking. None of these things are expensive to fix, wonder why they let it go?

This is an older hotel that has not been well maintained. The rooms are in disrepair and and not clean or tidy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was about was I was expecting for the price we paid. The hotel needs a face-lift, but appeared to be clean. "Lobby"-area wasn't too inviting. The staff was friendly though. It does not have an elevator, which was difficult. Adequate breakfast. The bedding was all clean. The location was good, very close to shopping and restaurants. It wasn't my favorite hotel stay, but this is what I paid for, and I'd be fine staying there again!

All was well especially for the price, I would definitely be comfortable staying there again. Only wish was that the television would be larger and or a flat screen. If not flat screen then definitely a larger screen

I had to wait an excessive amount of time to get checked in and checked out. There was only one entrance working into the hotel. You can hear your neighbors clearly through the walls.

Always stay here when I go to Bloomington-Normal

For what I paid the hotel was great. Was there 3 days 2 nights and room was cleaned when we left and we were left alone when we were there. My only complaint is the toilet would clog from water and the bed linens looked like they were soiled and never washed. Had to purchase new sheets to feel comfortable. The service was as to be expected no over the top but not neglected.

This is the worst Super 8 out of 60 that we have stayed at. Not very clean and so noisy. It was a Saturday night and the noise just outside our door was horrific, scary actually. We rang the guy at the desk, he said he would take care of it, of course he never did. If you want a good nights sleep, don't stay at Super 8 Bloomington. There are other Super 8's in the City.

Will not stay here again

Stayed here for ISU Homecoming: close to campus!

This hotel was disgusting, hairs were on our bed, and sink in the bathroom.There was dried up bloody boogers on our bed, and all over the walls of the room. It was poorly cleaned! the blankets and sheets were dirty as well. Almost as if a guest had stayed there and they just made the bed after they left.

Corridor odor, very small room, noisy a/c unit, uncomfortable bed. Will not be staying here again.

Ok for the price.

Paint pealing off wall in shower. Towel rack had been busted off and put back up with original holes showing unpatched. Clothes rack bent and showing wall patch. Bed made with flat sheet, not fitted. Kept coming loose.

I like the location. The staff is very nice. The place needs a major overhaul.

I am very pleased with how friendly the staff is. I have always been greeted and help with friendly staff. The the room is good, bed comfortable, and the bathroom is always sparkling. For a obernight or a couple of nights this is a good place to stay and is very reasonable through Hotels.com. Bob Evans and LoneStar SteakHouse right across street. Easy to get to downtown and to ISU-Amtrak by car.

Would not stay here again. Requested nonsmoking room but received one anyway. Requested a new room and was denied. Service was not very accommodating. Beds were in horrible shape.

This hotel was pretty ghetto. I had a triathlon in town and I didn't feel comfortable in the neighborhood or hotel. The place smelled of weed and cigarettes. The AC did not work in my room which made it uncomfortably hot as well. Never staying in a super 8 again.

Hair dryer did not work, clock was broke. Both were fixed. A thank-you to the staff.

Rooms smelled musty / sour. Other than that it was ok. Breakfast was cereal / pastries / waffle maker / juice & coffee. Pretty decent.

Overall, stay was very nice. Staff was very pleasant & helpful. Room was clean & comfortable. Only complaint was room needs new carpet. Carpet was very worn.

I played cheap and booked at this hotel ended up not staying. Hotel needs updating and smells very old as well, damp moldy?? Didn't stay overnight..Checked in and checked out... went to stay at the hotel we normally stay at when in town... Bottom lie you get what you pay for. Front desk clerk was pleasant tho...

Check in and outService was quick. Breakfast was good. Stay here every couple of months because of convenience, location, cost and service.

I dont no how this hotel got rated a 3.3 out of 5. It should be 1.3. Terrible hotel,

this was a clean cheap room. no frills and nothing special but if you need to lay your head down in bloomington and close to shopping it does the job

Hotel needs updating. Fantastic friendly staff, great location. good for a one nighter.

Quite nice. We just went back for sleeping every night so don't know a lot about other things like breakfast. No smells in our non-smoking room!

I was very greatful to the hotel clerk that went out of her way to call my room and let me know that the trunk of my car was left open! Other than that it was just a place to lay my head for the night. Very run down, but clean overall. If you are looking for a "nice" place, this is not it. If you are traveling for work and want to save a few bucks, then I would say it was perfect. I always sleep in my sleeping bag on the bed when I visit motels like this so I really don't have anything bad to say other than it could use a little updating and a coat of paint would go a long way.

I stayed 2 nights here. The desk staff was helpful and courteous. The room just looked worn--the carpet, the walls, etc. The bathroom was clean but the shower curtain rod was hung down instead of up--made the curtain slide to the middle during showering. I would only recommend if you are just needing a place to sleep for a few hours and not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. The continental breakfast was enough though the seating space is limited to 2 tables. Location was just a block off the main thoroughfare of town with lots of eating-shopping options.

My room- 314- smelled terribly of smoke and the carpet was old and moldy and unclean- the phone was not connected- i had asked for 2 non smoking back in early sept- was given smoking rooms no elevator in building- going up 3 flights of stairs to a smoke infested room was no fun!

No soap in the room Bed sheet need to be bleach, hot water Lock on door do not work

the motel was ok, but the breakfest was not complete with scrambled eggs and sausage.

We wasted our money on this hotel because we didn't even stay there. We found a different hotel where we felt safe. The sheets didn't fit the bed. No elevator, and halls and rooms had a terrible odor to them.

Decent hotel, close to where we needed to be, very affordable, and they were helpful with our situation.

This motel is clearly run down and poorly maintained. The toilet gurgles constantly, the clock radio was broken and the wall A/C unit is noisy and surrounded by duct tape. That said, the was a microwave, mini-fridge and breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the TV and internet both worked.

The only positive about this hotel was the service. The hotel itself is old and worn out. We had stayed at a 1 star Super 8 the night before that was much nicer than this 2 star. The carpet in the hallways and room were stained. The TV was not clear and most main channels didn't work. The room was cramped and the bathroom was gross. The toilet clogged 3 times during our 1 night stay. The mattresses were worn out and the pillows were flat. Location was good (we were visiting ISU) but there are other hotels to choose from. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.
