Super 8 Saginaw - סגינאו

The hotel was very dingy old and run down. Bath tub was very stained and whole bathroom smelled like urine. Had set up for late check out at 1 oclock on day of check out, and had multiple hotel employees knocking on the door asking when we would be checking out starting at 1030 a.m. Won't be back

This hotel was exactly what I expected. We had 3 rooms on 2 different floors. All 3 were clean. It was not fancy and breakfast was limited. But for the price it was great. It's right in the business district with lots of food and stores very close. I read a few bad reviews and was worried but no issues for us.

Good hotel for the $; the fellow at the front desk was courteous and professional.

The cleanliness wasn't totally there. Okay service. Not a great continetal breakfast. Is located nicely. Great for just stopn to sleep

This hotel was a great deal for the money. The front desk staff was friendly. Reading through the reviews prior to my stay left me a little worried as it seemed like a 50/50 shot at having a nice room. I booked three rooms for an event and all three of us had clean, recently painted and well maintained rooms. The heater did go on and off rapidly as mentioned in other reviews, but I turned it off when I went to sleep and it was no big deal. The lobby is small and breakfast was basic, but you get what you pay for. In this case, the rooms were much nicer than comparably priced rooms elsewhere. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed.

Served the purpose. It was close to SVSU, clean and friendly. Exactly what I paid for.

The first night I was there the room was awesome. Recently remodeled, new bedding and linens, and a great shower. My work took me an extra day so I rebooked for a second night. The difference was amazing. Poor water pressure, the room was kind of run down and with poor TV reception.I would try this hotel again with the hope that they are in the process of remodeling all of the rooms.

The hotel is a little older but clean. Noise travelled room to room but it wasn't very noticeable.

A very run down place. Outside security to get into your hallway was broke. So anyone off the street could get in. Dusty room. Hallway had been poorly fixed with mismatched paint. Toilet took 30 minutes to refill. So could only flush about every half hour. When I went to leave you just put your key in a little acrylic box on the front desk. Continental breakfast consists of toast or cereal. On the plus side no bedbugs.

Hotel is in need of remodoling.

We usually look for a place with a pool but often end up not using it. This one does not have a pool nor much of a breakfast (cold cereal and juice) but for the price it was great. Will stay there again. Great location. Nice mall (Fashion Mall - but has more then just clothes) about 1/4 mile away. Many restaraunts in the area. Easy to get to. Again, nothing special but a comfortable place to spend a night.

We stayed 2x on a going and returning trip. First time, we stayed on the 2nd floor, and everything was very good, clean, fairly spacious. On the return trip, we were assigned 1st floor (half subterranean) and it was hard to believe it was the same hotel. The room & bathroom layout were smaller (it seemed to us). We baned into the sink edge when using the toilet. The window was even with car lights and walkway (because we were somewhat below ground level. Beds were comfortable both times, but we felt claustraphobic the 2nd. Also, one of the security locks was broken off the door, and the smell of Indian cooking (spices) was all throughout the 1st floor hallway. Be sure to ask for a 2nd floor room!!!

Somewhat rundown. It was ok. Cheap for a quick stop.

My room # 6 did not have a plug for the. Sink. Here was on coffee and two guest.

We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were very helpful. Overall, this hotel was great for the money!

We had a good time walking through the mall; there were several theaters within a few miles and lots of choices for food. The room was clean and comfortable the only way it could have been better would be if they had a pool. The hot water was instant and scalding.

relaxing wish we had had more time to spend we will be back. close to family friends and shopping

it was just a last minute thing for my wife and i...so we thought for the price it was descent and it was located near convienate shopping and resteurants. would stay there again if in the area...great job to the staff at this super 8 location

Comfortable for a quick stay out of town. Located by great shopping and dining.

Given the price for the room, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel BUT was turned off on discovering that the blanket had not been laundered . . . there were white spots(??) all over. This is not the time to be messing around with people's health and wellness.

Heater turned on & off all night long. On then off 2 minutes then back on all night long. It was a non-smoking room. The bath room ceiling was yellow from smoke with burn holes in the carpet. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and updated to bad the rest of the hotel wasn't as nice.Probably won't stay here again.

The tv did't work very good it was to dark and you could fix it..

Great place for a quick place to stay. Would have liked a few more amenities had we been staying multiple nights. Perfect for Black Friday shopping and a place to rest. :)

I travel quite a lot to the area, but I never been here. Most of the time it was the much bigger hotels. I had to choose a cheaper place as all the bigger places are either taken or too expensive for my late booking. Pros: Service was friendly. Room is clean. Breakfast is ok. (Cereal, bread and milk. That is what I have for breakfast anyway) Common areas are clean. Superfast internet. I got 2Mbps up and 2Mbps down. This is my number one gripe with the bigger hotels. They have internet geared for dailup speeds. Whatever be the reason like number of simultaneous guests using it etc, they should have better internet speeds. Here I could watch Hulu since that is the one that I watch even when I have TV in my room. Cons: Cheap upholstery. Walls looked very thin and I could hear some noise from outside (thankfully not from adjoining rooms). Ground floor is 3 feet under the ground, which parking at your head level. The parking lot is next to my room. I had a concern that some drunk driver or someone who hits accelerator instead of break would run through the wall which looked very weak in the first place. Go for something in 2nd or 3rd floor. There was no iron box in the room. Had to ask for it. Wake up call. I ask for wake up call as a backup. I asked for one first day, haven't got it. But there is an alarm in the room. I use my phone alarm anyway.

Very reasonable price and the cleanliness is one of the best I've been to. It's a little out of the way for some of the areas attractions but if you don't mind driving 15 minutes it is well worth it.

Tired, dingy, overused hotel. Not worth the price.

It wasn't the best hotel in the area,but it was ok,and quiet, and access to resturants and stores.the staff was very friendly,and breakfast was great

I booked 2 rooms for my daughters 16th birthday get together. We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel from the friendly desk clerk to the cleanliness of the hotel room as well as the hotel its self and the grounds. Peaceful neighborhood with enough around in walking distance that my daughter and I went for a nice walk to look around just before midnight. I would definatley recommend this hotel and staff.

The room was nice. The price was great. The best part was the pillows and the bed. They were great. Would be nice to have a choice of queen or king. The only downfall about the room was the bathroom. The toilet paper holder wpuldnt stay together. The bathtub made so much noise when you stood in it. Also the tub need some real elbow grease and maaybe a magic eraser used on the bottom of the tub. Not very clean. But all in all, very easy to find and close to shoppig and food.

So close to all the great shopping in saginaw and close to many dining options. Breakfast and service is always great!

This room was not all bad. The tub needed some elbow grease and a better cleaining product. The room smelled like some cleaning solution and if that had been lysol or some other product it would not have been bad. The beds were very comfortable and clean as were the pillows.

I had a reservation for one night and stayed for an extra night. Location was a plus ALSO a nice view from the back of the hotel.

I will never stay at a Super 8 again. The walls in the bathroom needed thorough repair, towels were rough and thin, noise easily was heard through walls, some of the listed amenities had to be personally retrieved, and the room even after personally requesting was not cleaned (trash full and no fresh towels). I regret using this website and staying at Super 8. Never again.

the only problem we encountered was the shower. I was a new style & wasn't sure how to turn on. The staff very quickly came to our rescue. Already have recommended this location to co-workers.
