the carpet was dirty. paint peeling in the bathroom. was given a room in a bad location, bottom of stairs on 1st floor. the hotel staff was nice. if someone was smoking outside the smoke came in our room. there was easy access to the capitol mall , freeways and other tourist sites.

Room was stinky and dirty Bed was clean though

I didint find anything good about this Hotel. Down be * hotel instead of **

it was a nightmare, as soon as i walked into the room my son started sneezing and coughing. there was a weird smell in the room, the room was not properly.

Room, staff were fine. Location not great. But overall a good value.

The location is very close to a metro line, but the walk is bit sketchy. Hotel was okay, but since we were sightseeing we didn't spend much time there. Wouldn't stay here for business.

This was not the cheapest hotel, but it was the worst. My flight was cancelled and I booked this hotel as I decided to take the train in the morning instead. There are no elevators and the night employee did not help me with my heavy suitcases. Instead he told me he could help but he was not allowed to leave the desk... so in fact he could not help. When I called to book an alarm call and asked what time I should leave to be at the train station at 07am, he told me I should be at reception ready to leave at 6am. I commented that it seemed a bit early and he told me I could have breakfast. I told him I didn't want breakfast and he told me that taxis never turn up so I should arrive early at reception and wait. As you can imagine, I didn't have a good night's sleep. In fact the cab comany was reliable and did turn up. And the driver helped me with my bags.... The room was cleaner that I expected based on the fact that this is more like a motel than a hotel but the whole property is quite ropey looking and I felt scared walking across the car park to get upstairs to my room. Never, ever again.

The cleanliness of the room and there response to resolve the problem was not immediate.

Staff were helpful, room ok for the price, bathroom needs maintenance.

This hotel is located in a very out of the way area unless you are familiar with large cities and/or DC in general. The hotel room was in poor condition; however, the staff was very pleasant and when we asked to leave early they did refund our money.

The service was awesome, and the hotel is within a 25 minute walk to Capitol Hill, but the neighbourhood is ghetto! Had to cab it back at night to make sure we made it to our hotel okay. Even then, there were parents letting their kids run up and down the property past midnight and before 7am - and nothing was done about it. The rooms seemed (somewhat) clean to the naked eye.. at least there were bed bug covers on the mattresses - lol. There was more than enough food for breakfast, but you literally have to line up to wait to sit down since the breakfast room is so small. Anyways, you definitely get what you pay for in DC!

There was virtually nothing positive about this motel. The room was dirty and out of date. There was a strong smell of industrial cleaning fluid which masked the "natural" odor in the room. The heater/ac unit did not work at all. The tub filled up with water while taking a shower -- clearly there were drainage issues. In addition, the "breakfast," --- Saying it was mediocre would be an upgrade in its description. It was dry, sparse, (guests had picked it over very quickly), very poor quality. The whole place was just gross. I would NEVER recommend it.

Well, I so disliked this room I didn't stay in it. I paid for it. but went to another site down the street. a patron ahead of me was not allowed to see the room before purchasing. that tells you how unsatisfactory this hotel is. the heat/ac hadn't seen any cleaning in I don't know when. the floor could have used another vacuum. furniture was in disrepair.

Upon arrival I did not want to judge a book by its cover; however I was highly disappointed. I'm unsure of what I should speak on first because the experience was that horrid. Just know I my experience was so awful I ended up switching hotel mid stay!!! From the odor of water residue, mold, stains on sheets, and water damage on the bathroom walls it was my que to head out and never look back. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

We booked non-smoking but there's cigarette smell in the room. The staff was also very rude and once we told them about the cigarette's smell concern, she simply answered: "We cannot help you."

There are huge holes in our comforter. The color of pillows is yellow. By the way, I found a bug on my bed, though I'm not sure whether it's a bedbug or not.

The hotel wasn't anything great, pretty basic, but it was well located for our purposes.

The floors were gross and had dirt and grease in them, so we couldn't walk barefoot around the room. The towels had stains on them from previous customers, I'm assuming. The air conditioner didn't work well and the air coming in smelled like urine. The receptionists at the lobby were accomodating but not that friendly. Other than that, the rest of the hotel room were fine for the price paid.

You get what you pay for. If you can afford to stay at a better hotel closer to downtown I would highly recommend doing so.

At the time of my arrival the hotel was without guests. So you would think that a simple request of 2 extra pillows and another set of towels would be easy as pie. I received neither. The front desk clerk questioned me as to why I needed extra pillows which I found odd. But i went ahead and told him that i had back problems. Not to mention that the size of these pillows was designed for a child. Why not have full size pillows? The room was cold and took over 1.5 hours to heat up. I would only recommend this hotel if you were partying in DC and got too drunk to drive home.

A below average hotel with a good location. The carpets badly need replacement! Well equipped rooms with microwave, refrigerator etc but I could do with some fewer appliances but a cleaner room if not anything else. Some people stopping by the hotel esp during the night looked shady, if you are travelling with your family you might want to avoid this one.

it was fine for a 24 hour stay. rooms appeared clean, and comfy. had some unsavory looking characters about on the premisethough. visiting other unsavory looking characters in their rooms. be aware of your surroundings.

I only stayed for one night and didn't get to sample the breakfast but all in all the room was fine. I had no issues, it was close to my interview location and the staff was friendly and helpful for the limited interaction I did have with them.

When we arrived in the parking lot, there were several thugs in front of one of the rooms, talking obscenities when one of them went inside of the room a couple of young girls half naked where in the room as the guys bragged how they had fun with them! It smelled like pot where they were, so we were glad we got a room further from them. When we got to our room smelled like pot again. If you have a baby, not a great smell to have in your surroundings. Also, the room service left one tinny towel in our room when both my husband, baby and I were staying in the room. This was rather expensive for such horrible service.

Used too much chemicals to clean room, definately had that, "Motel" scent, but reflected price well!

There was a mouse in my room

Wifi has problems connecting

The hotel accommodation was good for the price and the location was ideal. Just a few miles from the city and local lounges.

the fire alarm in my room started beeping at 3am because the battery was dead. the hotel was staffed by one person, no batteries, no maintenance, no emergency numbers to call. They were unwilling and unable to fix the issue.

I ignored the reviews that said don't come here. More fool me! 15 min walk to metro but we were routed down a dubious street which did not feel safe at all even in daylight. Hotel a bit grim but probably ok if you are travelling by car and just spend one overnight stop here. Otherwise go somewhere else

Very unhappy about the cockroach in the bathroom. Was afraid to leave luggage etc on the floor and most definitely would not walk around without shoes. Should have done more research to know the location better. A lot of undesirable locals hanging out--I think they rent rooms by the hour!

Location of the Hotel is good and it's close to National Mall & Memorial Parks, but the room and hotel overall is not very inviting and clean. The rooms are very outdated and need some serious remodeling.

We needed an inexpensive place to stay as the conference my wife attend-ed she had to pay out of pocket for lodging, and needed to keep expenses to a minimum. The toilet was constantly running, the shower had a constant drip. The clearcoat on the bathroom sink countertop had hairs imbedded in it. In the room I didn't wear shoes and noticed the bottom of my socks were black in one day of wear.The breakfast was nothing to write home about. There are better choices if you are willing to spend con-siderably more money. In DC parking is at a premium if not impossible. If you plan on visiting any of the attractions you would be better served finding a hotel in a safer nieghborhood better situated to the Metro System.

Bullet-proof glass in the lobby didn't make for a warm and fuzy first impression. Generally felt safe though and the hotel was generally in fair condition.
