Super 8 Portland/Westbrook Area - ווסטברוק

The staff was friendly and when improper cleaning methods were being used in the lobby and it was pointed out to the management, they took care of it right away...safety first! The continental breakfast was decent and the pet policy is appreciated. The room was comfortable, a bit small, but fine for the price. The mattress was NOT comfortable, too hard! What can I expect for CHEAP? I'll bring my soft mattress topper if there is a next time. A pleasant atmosphere overall.

I was generally happy but I was given the room next to the laundry. Cleaning people were in the there early and making lots of noise. Otherwise it was fine given the low price

Front desk was wonderful very friendly

Great service, great location, always love an indoor pool, breakfast was good, just hallway carpets are a bit warn and a hint of dank smell, but not in the rooms. Nice stay

Considering I couldn't sleep due to the beds, I was pretty disappointed. The woman at the front desk tried to accomidate me, she showed me 5 rooms. EVERY BED IN EVERY ROOM WAS SHAPED LIKE A POTATO CHIP ! COMPLETELY WORN OUT ! No wonder it was so cheap. I will not go back. I am in that area twice a month for business. I even offered to rent there most expensive room (suite) the beds were so bad. Come to find out, I was in an upgraded room. OMG ! Never again !

A few hours after I checked in I realized an air conditioner fan for the swimming pool was just outside my window. I requested a room change and they accommodated me at once. Two complaints I made at checkout. The key cards always took half a dozen tries and the nonslip stripsin the shower needed replacing. They were slick. They said they'd take care of it right away.

Taint half bad

This is perhaps one of the cleanest rooms we've stayed in. The room size is a bit small, but ample for a short stay. The pool was heated to a pleasant temperature and very clean with towels provided. The breakfast was the standard waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Overall, a good experience at a very reasonable price.

I don’t begin to know where to start to express our disappointment in this hotel. The second floor smelled of cigarette smoke, the mattress in our room was broken down on one side, which made it impossible for two people to sleep on and reeked of cigarette smoke. These conditions forced us to alternate turns sleeping on the recliner in the room next to a wide -open window on the last week of February so that we could get some rest. On the last night of our stay someone in the hotel was smoking either in the hallways or in a nearby room. We notified the desk attendant who was very pleasant and apologized for the situation. The most disappointing part of this experience was that when we connected to the internet - the name Wyndham properties or some variation of this appeared. I truly believe if this is a Wyndham property and they were aware of these conditions, there would be major changes made to this property. Regardless, the staff on duty were delightful to deal with and ready to help.

Cost effective for family visits.

The staff, breakfast, pool, and room was fantastic! We will be returning. The staff even cleaned the snow from around and off our car when we were snowed in! I have never been happier with a motel!! TY Super 8 for making us feel welcomed!!

The rooms are small but the bed is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and helpful and there is an indoor pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast gave a good variety and was filling. Plan to stay again when we go back to Maine. Close to nearby highways, restaurants and stores.

Price was excellent and we were surprised by the cleanliness of the room. Breakfast for good and included in the room rate. I would not hesitate to recommend Super 8 or stay again.

I often stay here when I am in town visiting family. It is a basic hotel room - nothing fancy. However the beds are very comfy, the room is always clean and the hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The nice breakfast that comes with the room is a bonus. I haven't used the pool, but it looked very inviting.

would stay again, room clean ,short trip to beach ,freeport and kittery. only issue mattress was lumpy but not bad

The staff was as several posted...extremely friendly and polite. They acted like I was a special person to them. Feels like an older hotel....is an older hotel, but everything was clean. Breakfast had a great variety and counters were wiped off often. Food was replenished in a timely manner. Love the waffle machine! I would go again just for a cheap stayower, but I usually prefer the newer beds, newer carpets etc. , more modern furnishings all around.

I stayed at this hotel earlier this summer and the stay was just fine on the first floor. The front desk staff are some of the friendliest people in Maine. I have been very pleased with the staff both times I stayed there. Unfortunately I stayed a few days this week and I was on the second floor. The bed was horrible, the carpets were so filthy I wouldn't walk without my shoes on. Great rates but they really need a good cleaning from what I saw in the off season.

It was great. Beds comfy and fluffy pillows. The pool area was nice, too. There was an unpleasant odor when we walked into the room which seemed to clear after we were there a while.

It was a very good hotel and a very nice and helpfull. It's out of town, you would need a car to come to everywhere

Convenient (right off of I-95), clean, and fairly well equipped. Room TVs are older, and no mini fridges - but otherwise perfectly comfortable budget hotel.

furnishing needs an update. too pricey for this tiny place. towels are clean and thick.

Dirty. Dingy. Smelly. Horrible internet on weekend.

Because of high tourist traffic, Portland area motels tend to be run down quickly and cleaning spotty, Super 8 though was clean, some of the carpets well used, 24 hr coffee in the lobby a plus and quite decent. The Cleaning Ladies professional and well spoken. The minor irritants-A prior guest broke phone jack and no do not disturb sign. The plus is a cute picnic area, a indoor clean pool, the staff and relatively quiet. I will be back.

This has been one of the best stays I ever had. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and one of the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a Hotel. Excellent stay for the price.

I stayed the night before the Maine Marathon. Very accommodating staff.. Once they came to know that I was participating, they automatically had a late checkout @ 2pm for me - which was helpful as I came back at 1pm from the event.. The location is ~3miles from Maine Marathon starting point, so it was very convenient.. The room/bathroom was really clean and well kept.. The air conditioner and heater worked perfectly fine.. I would highly recommend staying here.. Lots of shops/restaurants close by..

I only stayed one night in preparation to run the Maine Marathon the next day. Everything was average, about what I would expect from a Super 8. I felt like I got what I paid for so I was overall happy with the stay. Would I want to book and extended stay at this hotel, probably not. Does it suffice for a one to two night stay, in my opinion I would say yes, anything more then that and I would seriously consider spending a little more money for a better quality room and a staff with more attention to details.

I was very happy with our stay and would reccomend it to others . The Staff wer very helpful and friendly .Breakfast was also great .

The clerk was very helpful at check-in. Room was adequate. Location was close to shopping and restaurants.

Nice clean hotel just outside of Portland. Everything worked and we were very comfortable. Usual fast food near by with a BK right next door.

The staff were very accomodating. We needed to change rooms after the first night because the first bed was very uncomfortable (wouldn't necessarily be uncomfortable for all people, this was a personal preference) and the staff were wonderful about the change especially considering they were very busy and almost full every night we were there. They never showed impatience with customers asking directions to different places and asisted to the best of their ability. The continental breakfast was very good. A good selection to suit mosts tastes. We were very satisfied and would stay again when in the area. Shopping is close by (malls) and it isn't too far from the old port area of Portland.

It was frustrating to arrive and find that the pool was not able to be used the first night, as they had just drained it. The room was a place to lay our head, but nothing exciting. The bathroom was dirty, had hair in the bathtub. The continental breakfast was nothing to talk about. Overall, for the price it worked, but would prefer to spend a bit more next time to stay somewhere a bit nicer.

location was good but tv issues. had to fix cable but ramote did not work.

we liked our stay. except when retiring to bed . the people in the room next to us slammed their door and woke us up...the ladys at the front desk where very polite and helpful.. overall was a nice stay..:)... thank you !

Good for an off the highway one night stop over. Normal amenities and priced right. Would stay there again.

1st night they put us in the worst room, a king next to the office w/ noise and traffic. We asked for a different room and got a double which smelled of stale smoke. Second night we moved into an excellent room with king bed, comfy mattress, roomy. Smelled good. Friendly and helpful service. Good options for breakfast. Convenient to downtown and freeway. I would stay again, but make sure they give us a good room.

TO START THE BED WAS DIRTY THEY GAVE US ANOTHER ROOM. THE CARPET THRU OUT THE HOTEL IS VERY DIRTY. THERE IS A SMELL IN THE HALL WAYS. THAT I WONT EVEN START TO DESCRIBE

I recently stayed here with my husband on a visit to Portland ME. The hotel is very outdated but we knew that with the price we paid for our two night stay; we weren't expecting a 5 star hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and our room was clean. I was slightly disappointed that our room was not cleaned after the first night- I didn't feel the need to be "green" and we needed our towels replaced. Other than that, we got we paid for. If you are on a budget and do not want to spend a ton of money on a hotel then this is a decent place to stay.
