Although the area is not "pretty" this hotel was very nice! Plenty of FREE parking, room was very nicely decorated and looked as if it has been recently painted. The bed linens were not only clean, but looked new. The bed was very comfortable and we did not want to get up! The lady at the front desk recommended an awesome reastaurant that was worth the wait and seemed to be a local hangout. Overall, we cannot say enough good things about this hotel and we stay in a lot of hotels!

I was only there for one night but the room was really nice. There's not much in surrounding area.

Very disappointed in all the construction going on. Listening to jackhammers all morning is not my idea of a vacation in a $200 room.

Love the cozy rooms and the stay was very comfortable. The rooms were up to date and very clean. I love this hotel!

The staff was amazing. The room had a slight odor to it, however, there is a store right up the road and air fresheners did the trick.

The air conditioner did not work very well

On a previous stay my room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. Is this location moving away from having these small appliances available? The hallway did have an odor to it. If your industry is interested i can point you in the direction of obtaining a 25-year old green product that will eliminate odors and not mask the problem. The product ingest bad bacteria that causes foul odor and gives off Oxygen!!! Overall my stay was comfortable.

Conveniently located to the airport and was a reasonable night's stay.

Originally I was concerned by the marginal condition of the hallway carpet as we went to our room. But the room was just fine-attractive and comfortable. The staff was helpful with any question we had. It was a great base to go into the city or out to the country areas. There are nearby (3 blocks away) neighborhoods that appear fairly impoverished, but it felt safe partly becauswe it is near the police station. It was only a few minutes from the airport and reasonably priced. The homemade breakfast every morning was a real treat. Also, improvements were being made to the hotel while we were there. Michelle's across the street has great food. Overall it gets our strong recommendation.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good (hot food, omelet station, not just cereal and pastry). The bed was a little uncomfortable to me, on the hard side, but that is my only complaint. Very good hotel for the price.

The hotel was nice. We came from Houston and when we exited off I-10 we went straight through the light cause we thought there was an entrance to tun into the hotel...well there wasn't. we had to get back on 10 and go down then turn around and re exit. If you are coming from Houston...take a right at the light and enter the hotel parking lot....don't go straight. The breakfast was good...a lady makes omelets to order. Parking lot is VERY small.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the desk staff. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the shuttle service they offerred into New Orleans. Their web site still showed it as of 4/19/13 (my trip was from 4/21/13 to 4/28/13) but when you get there it's been discontinued for months! Our room needs a total makeover-leaking toilet, wheezing air conditioner, the list goes on.. NEVER stay here!

the hotel was great but the walls are wafer thin! you can hear anyone that talks above a whisper!

Pretty average, but good value for price paid. One morning there was no hot water for my shower, but this was fixed within an hour -- and I understand that such things do happen.

We stayed at this hotel for one evening since we had a late flight into New Orleans. It was $22 for a cab, so try to catch the shuttle. The room was small, but fine for one night. The beds were comfortable. Pillows were great. The shower had pressure. The breakfast had waffles and an egg bar. It was very good for the cost. It was not as close to the hotel as was indicated. Also, the check in person should explain that the shuttle runs on the hour when people check in.

Convenient to the airport. Room perfectly adequate, but small and cramped. It was fine for me because I was the only one that stayed in it, but if there would have been more than one person, it would have been really cramped. Breakfast was really nice, with lots of choices, but breakfast staff made me feel really bad when I placed my plate on counter and if fell onto the floor. I cleaned the floor myself but staff made me feel awful that it had happened.

Staff was pleasant, but this couldn't make up for the fact that the air conditioning did not work. There was no hot water in the shower. The walls were paper thin and we were on a floor of all college kids on alternative spring break. It was a big hotel and not full, they could have put us on another floor.

Decent place to stay for a very good price and great breakfast, just a little slow on the shuttle sometimes. Better call them to make sure they are coming.

The hotel was nice and very clean. They had a awesome breakfast with everything you could imagine. The rooms were a bit small, but cozy. Overall great hotel for the price.

The hotel was under construction during my visit. There was a lot of foot traffic from construction workers. I can tell that when the hotel is done it'll be a lot better.

This was just great, clean, friendly and easy. Good breakfast and shuttle. Definitely recommend.

room was very clean everyone was very very helpful the king size bed was small but modern food was great in the area and priced just right breakfast was good and they served omlets to order i will vist again and its right by the police station so i felt very safe

Met my basic needs. I will stay again.

The hotel is on a busy street and ALOT of noise from the street made it difficult to sleep, especially with a baby. At first it seemed so loud that I thought the window was open, but it wasn't. Just seems like thin windows that don't keep sound out. Bathroom door lock was busted, and seems like it's been that way for a while. Breakfast staff was great and had the added perk of an omlet station, but seems like it's for tips.

Smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Almost no room to unpack a suitcase. Next to airport. Breakfast was good.

the room had a leak from the ceiling....the room is really small...the bathroom is a joke....its more like a closet

This hotel is adequate and suited to travelers with cars. You will pay for transportation to and from the French Quarter or other tourist areas (runs $33 per person $14 each if groups of 3 or more) via taxi. Staff was reasonably nice.

My only compliant was my room was next to kids that were running in the hallway.

We were very comfortable. The floors were quiet even though the hotel was full. Location was great near the airport and I-10. Staff was great. If you stay there be sure to eat at the Harbor Seafood which was recommended by the staff.

We were looking for nice but inexpensive. This was rated higher than surrounding hotels and less price. Very surprised by the breakfast--typical eggs-sausage-biscuit setup but 2 flavor choices in waffle batter AND an omelet station! Very nice people that work there also. Only reason I didn't give all 5s is the age of hotel is beginning to show. We will definitely choose this again.

The hotel shows its age a bit. The room was fairly clean. The breakfast (continental) was decent -- guests can make (self-serve) fresh belgian waffles and there was a hotel rep making rudimentary but tasty omelettes. The building (about 500 feet from I-10 on Loyola Dr.) is situated in a very busy location -- street level noise could be an issue. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a slight to moderate traffic buzz. The neighborhood is mixed. We felt safe in the hotel, but our gut told us to be on-guard outside. I used to live about a mile from the hotel in the 1970's and the neighborhood has significantly degraded since that time. In summary, it was a good stay.

I typically like Sleep Inns and have stayed at this location before but it's gone downhill in service and quality. The fan in the bathroom was very loud and there were holes in the ceiling where the fan was...looked like leak in ceiling. Every night I had to get keys to room rekeyed...I travel every week and this hasn't happened any where else. Also had to request towels two of my four nights since my room wasn't cleaned. They also need to have a dry mop instead of a broom to sweep the lobby; the dust in the air after sweeping made my allergies flare up.
