Travelodge Courtenay BC - Courtenay

If you are looking for some place to stay, this place is the one. Especially, this place would be great for a long term stay. Right next this hotel is a shopping mall; Quality Foods, London Drugs, Dollor store and Target is coming soon. If you care, Burger King is even closer than the shopping mall. Continental breakfast is a compliment from the hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights while we were house shopping. It was a very good deal as we had a discount for more than 3 nights. Location was fairly central, close to grocery shopping. Rooms were a bit small for 4 people and beds were a bit harder than home. Breakfast was diverse enough for everybody, but at the price we paid ($64 per night for 4 people) I would do it again.

Located on main road. Standard room, clean, although there was a musty/smoky odor upon entering. Pillows very flat. Pleasant staff and good breakfast.

Particularly liked LACK of fragrance in linen and towels. Breakfast was good and well-served

The Staff was very helpful & friendly. Even washed my jacket when I accidentally brushed against a dirty vehicle. Over all very satisfied & would stay there again.

Hotel staff were friendly, room was clean, good restaurants nearby.

As noted w/ the above points, we were very satisfied. In addition, the staff person was very kind and empathetic , and the heated pool was just wonderful after a long drive. The restaurant the staff person recommended, ATLAS, was just delicious and in our price range. We would defnintely consider Travelodge again as it fits our budget, and satisfies our travel criteria.

When we got in to the room late at night I pulled back the sheets to find hair in the bed. My daughter and I were disgusted so we decided to sleep on our sleeping bag. The room smelled like wet dog or dirty running shoes. The Continental breakfast was O.K at best. I think the motel needs a major upgrade and is not up to the normal standard that I expect with Travelodge.

The only downside was that only a smoking room was available so the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and no amount of airing could remove that. The price was good as well as the complimentary breakfast.

It was good for a short stay in town.

A bit worn but functional. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are on smaller side, TV's are dated non HD are but lots of channels, included wireless, and free basic breakfast including ability to make waffles. The main odd thing was no house keeping occurred during my two night stay ie the bed didn't get made other than my quick straightening. At the price it pretty much meets expectation.

Overall this hotel was okay but the rooms are a little small. However it was clean and the cleaning services were great everyday.

Travelodge in Courtenay, BC is a reasonably-charged motel that exceeds one's expectations. Rooms are very neat and they feature the comforts of home. And the daily breakfast goes from 6 am to 10 am - and includes freshly-made waffles! The locatrion is near virtually all the facilities you'd like to visit = retail malls, great restaurants, historical museum, popular live-arts theatre and a local cinema - all within a 3-minute drive. And the staff are very warm and friendly. They make you feel welcome from the moment you check-in until the minute you leave. Well done, Travelodge. Keep up the great work! JR

Travelodge in Courtenay, BC is a reasonably-charged motel that exceeds one's expectations. Rooms are very neat and they feature the comforts of home. And the daily breakfast goes from 6 am to 10 am - and includes freshly-made waffles! Great Service. The staff were fantastic. There actually was a free continental breakfast each day. The site Hotels.com said there wasn't. Basic food, cereals, waffles, toast, fruits, juices, tea and coffee. Good food. The Hotel is on the main drag so a bit noisy during the day. During the night it does quiet down. Easy access to the Mall and other shops on the main road. They could do a few minor repairs but over all the room was in good shape. Very clean.

the entrance for the hotel is rather misleading as the sign is before the actual entrance, and the main office is not marked from entrance at all. Rooms are very small and uncomfortable, not worth the price.

Good location, price, front desk service was excellent. Small rooms, wouldn't put 4 ppl in a 2 double beds room, just not enough space. Housekeeping wasn't adequate at all. There was obvious scum build up on tub, "SO I CLEANED" it, as I was booked for 3 nights and wanted a clean tub to use. Housekeeping only offered coffee, and made no attempt to come in and clean room.

Nothing seamed to work. Had to get 4 new key cards to open the door at different times Electrial plugs, some would not work Light switches you could hear an ark everytime you turned it off and on (bathroom real bad) Carpet real dirty, had white socks and soles were black after one day on the carpet

Absolutely fine - exactly what you'd expect from a travelodge. Room had been newly decorated and smelled still of paint, but no other complaints.

my family arrived in the dining room at 8:20. There was one warm egg sitting there and NOTHING else. I scanned around the room wondering how I couldnt believe I had chosen a hotel that just gives me toast( there was bread and toaster) for the breakfast. Coffee was gone/ eggs were gone /mild was at the bottom of container so I didnt want to touch it( breakfast was started at 6) We were standing there for a number of minutes dumbfounded when the "relief" came and was as startled as we were that there was NOTHING there. She says " I quess the desk staff didnt have time to come and check here" SO HAPPY to see her making new coffee and put out an array of muffins ..maybe she was making more eggs too? But we had to leave really quick to meet a travelling appointment so- we werent able to sit and enjoy breakkfast. Hope we were the only ones. Loved the airconditioner but had to almost renovate the curtains to keep them from hanging into and in the front of it.

The price was good because we paid the non-refundable rate but I don't think the hotel has been updated (including the linens) since I stayed here last, which was about 15 years ago. The beds were quite uncomfortable and our room was right off the highway so it was quite loud in the morning. Next time I visit Courtenay, I'll be putting out the extra money for the new Holiday Inn.

Clean, quiet and good value. Good location in Courtenay and for travelling the Island Highway.
