I was very happy to stay at hotel city. It was a great location not only due to many restaurants and shops being close by but also due to the metro stop 'Bessieres' being immediately outside the hotel. The hotel was fantastic for a person like myself who is not familiar with the city. All the members of staff which I met were very nice and happy to help. The only disadvantage I would say is that the hotel is on a main road which leads to the hospital so at times it was quite noisy from the ambulance sirens (not too loud to sleep though). If a room is chosen without a street view I am sure it would not be as noisy. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and have left Lausanne with fond memories of not only the city, but also of the people.

Room decor is definitely dated but they are very clean. Hotel City is just a block away from the Cathedral and the pedestrian zone in the Old City. There are grocery stores and a self-service laundry facility within easy walking distance. I definitely recommend this place!

Right outside the Metro at its top level exit (do not come out of the metro and go down to lower street level) this is a very convenient stopover hotel. Staff are very friendly and professional . However it is in a noisy location and the triple glazing does block out the street noise to some extent. The downside is that with no air con the room gets hot and stuffy. Rooms are spotless but decor tired and dated. Buffet Breakfast is good but expensive at 20CHF.

Great stay in Lausanne. Fine hotel, they made things easy, just simply a good stay and a fair price.

Exellent view from the window over he cathedral. Quiet , pieceful ,. Breakfast not so imposing. Can sincerely recomend it and could stay in City hotel next time i will visit Lausanne. Christer Finland

I have stayed at this particular hotel several times. It is directly on a Metro stop for convenience and you get a free Metrocard so that is nice. They have added a hot water pot and coffee/tea serviced to the the rooms which is nice as well. It was not there on previous visits. The room was quiet even though it is on a main street. This particular room had a very narrow space between the door and sink/refrigerator which made it quite a challenge to squeeze the luggage in but we managed. TV is great, tons of channels. My only complaints are the luggage cart that once was there to help is gone, and internet access costs way too much- almost $30 US per day! Ridiculous in this day.

The hotel was modern and efficient. I stayed one night in late January and found the surroundings reasonably quiet. The breakfast seemed a bit expensive, but was of a reasonable standard with a wide choice of fare that suited my requirements well.

This is my 2nd time staying here at the Hotel City. I am already planning on staying here again on another business trip in July. I am amazed at how quiet the rooms are considering it is on a busy road and both stay I had the same location over the street. While the carpets are a bit worn (bring slippers) the rest of the room is quite pleasant. Very comfortable sleeping and the TV has tons of channels in all languages. There are small conveniences such as the refrigerator in the room that are nice. My only wish is that there was a coffee maker! The bathroom is fine and the water hot. The bathroom fan in my room #503 was making a loud grinding noise to attempt to turn on but then didn't go on and was silent. Otherwise no complaints at all. I don't smoke and am happy it is a smoke free environment. The hotel also provides you with a free Metro card for the the Metro. The Metro stops directly in front of the hotel and is an easy connection from the train station. Very easy to get to the airport in Geneva from the hotel unless you have tons of luggage, then take a taxi. I am looking forward to my next stay in July!

Чистенький отель. Хорошее месторасположение. 10 метров от метро. Жалко что завтрак не входит в стоимость.

accueil très agréable . Vue exceptionnelle sur Lausanne . la literie n'est pas excellente , le petit déjeuner non plus. Les autres services sont bons pour une chambre standard .

Central of the town but far from the railway station (about 20 min walk). But it is easy to access if you use the metro (2nd stop from GARE Lausanne). When you stay the hotel, you can get the Public transportation card. It was very useful. Little noisy due to tram. The room was clean, good staff. 街の中心に位置しているが、鉄道の駅からは遠い。坂が多い街なので、トランクを持って徒歩で移動する場合は20分くらいかかるが、地下鉄を使えば2駅目なので問題ない。また、ホテルでもらえる公共交通機関乗り放題のカードがとても便利だった。トラムがホテルのすぐ隣を走るので、ややうるさい。部屋は清潔。スタッフも親切。

Cette fois nous étions au premier étage, la chambre n'étant pas climatisée, il faisait chaud et nous aurions aimé pouvoir ouvrir la fenêtre.... mais rue très très bruyante, à 4 h du mat des gens dansaient dans la rue au son de leur auto radio.... Bref, la nuit fut courte.....Sinon l'accueil est toujours aussi sympathique et le buffet du petit déj est très complet.

Chambres trop bruyantes du côté des rues et vraiment trop chaudes;on ne peut ouvrir les fenêtres à cause du bruit. Sinon, tout est très bien.

Adoramos Lausanne e, em grande parte, isso se deveu à excelente localização do Hotel City. Localizado no centro histórico, a 200 m da catedral e a poucos metros de um comércio vibrante, o City fica também na porta do metrô (cujas passagens são totalmente cobertas pelo hotel durante toda a estadia), que leva o hóspede a todos os pontos de interesse da cidade, incluindo a orla do lago. O hotel é confortável, limpo, e nosso quarto tinha uma vista incrível para a cidade e a catedral. Se um dia voltar a Lausanne, quero ficar no City! O ponto fraco é que o café da manhã, embora seja oferecido, não está incluído na diária e não é barato. Mas isso, na Suíça, é norma geral.

City Hotelはローザンヌ駅から3駅目の真ん前にありました。近くにはCoopもMigrosもあり便利でしたが、夜外が騒がしくぐっすり眠れませんでした。バスルームとは別に水道があり、コーヒーを淹れられたのはよかったです。

Staff are nice and room is cosy with great location!

J'ai été très ennuyée car la connexion Internet qui ne fonctionnait pas bien du tout avec mon portable dans la chambre et que leur ordinateur était vraiment obsolète et très lent ! Les petits déjeuners sont aussi bien trop chers !
