Bentley Hotel South Beach - מיאמי ביץ'

Had a blast. Rooms were pretty and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.

When we arrive, the room smelled of very strong bleach. A hotel employee was in our room when we unlocked our door. She said she was checking on the condition of the wet floor (no carpet in room, floors are all tile). We were wondering why the bleach smell was so strong - did someone get sick in the room and they were using strong bleach to clean up? The faucet in the shower did not work well - it took a LONG time to get hot water to come out - had to "fiddle" with the faucet to find the hot water spot. The bathroom sink did not drain well - we stuck q-tips in drain to keep it open and draining. Otherwise it would fill to the top and drain out of the "drain hole" in the sink. We paid for our room 100% before checking in. When we arrived, we were required to give a credit card # for "accidentials". Upon checking out 2 days later, we were told we owed $56 additional "facility fee". We were not informed of a "facility fee" and did not know anything about it. We questionned it but, at this point, they had our credit card # and charged the fee.

Our stay at the Bentley was okay. Just a warning to those who are looking for proximity to the beach: the Bentley's "beach access" is not right outside their door. You have to walk 4 blocks down and two blocks over to get to the beach (about a 10 minute walk). We arrived early and were told our rooms were not ready but we would receive a call as soon as they were. The lobby is the size of a closet so we had to leave and walk around town, which was fine except for the monsoon rains and the fact that the hotel "forgot" to call us when our room was available. The condition of the room was fine: clean and well put together. The elevator was broken our entire stay, forcing us to use the service elevator, which is where they keep all of their trash cans so it reaked of hot garbage every time we left the hotel. Valet parking was a challenge as well. You have to call the front desk 15 minutes prior to needing your car so they can go run 3 blocks to get it and bring it back. We called about 20 minutes before we needed it, went down expecting our car to be ready, only to be told the front desk never notified them we needed it. We were late to our dinner reservations as a result. We made sure to go down to valet directly the day we left so we would not be late for our flight. None of our experiences at the Bentley were the end of the world, but just not what I expected from a 4 star hotel in South Beach and certainly not worth the price tag.

The outside needs wrk on the aesthetics, but the inside is gorgeous. Be careful with valet.... they scratched my car!!!!!

Perhaps it was because the staff was overwhelmed by spring break, but service was subpar with respect to room cleaning, valet and pool/hot tub cleanliness. If not for the location, all would have been lost.

We Made an error while we were choosing this hotel. We thought it was the Benchley Hilton a much different experience. This small deco boutique sits atop a restaurant on Ocean Avenue and blasts music from 6:30 AM until 2 AM. The Young people staying there come home very late at night and have no idea how to behave in a hotel so we were awakened not very pleasantly. This is not a hotel for older meaning over 50 couples who want to relax. But if you're young and can take it go for it!

Great size room if your're looking for more than the standard hotel room. Could have used a little facelift but for location, size, and price, overall value. Pool area not so great.

We come to SoBe quite often and have always stayed in the big hotels on Collins. I THOUGHT I was booking "the Kardashian Bentley" - as a surprise for my teenage daughter. Turns out there are many "Bentley" hotels - unrelated except in name. The Kardashian Bentley is "the Hilton Bentley" - also on Ocean - but across the street on the beach a few blocks south. The one we stayed is across the street from the ocean - with an unobstructed ocean view (the park is across the street). It is in one of the historic art deco buildings - 5 floors - with one of the (obnoxious) street cafes. That said --- the hotel was a surprise! I booked a one bedroom suite. It had a FULL kitchen. The living room had white muslin covered furniture. The bedroom was a good size = and the bed was very comfy with high thread count white sheets/duvet. No tub, but the bathroom was well appointed. Problem - the sofa bed was really bad quality for sleeping. No one will enjoy sleeping on that thing. Had we stayed longer I would have asked for a roll-away (the regular mattress type). Location was great for SoBe - Walgreen's, liquor store - both around the corner. Starbucks and a cool coffee bar/shop a few blocks away. At first they tried to give us a "city view" -but, when I politely pressed, we ended up with a full ocean view (no balcony). We liked it - and will consider returning on our next trip.

The hotel was very pleasant and convenient for Miami Beach attractions. Our 2 daughters and their young babies of 6 months and 4months had a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Whilst the room was very comfortable the windows were not double - glazed and were also very ill - fitting. Consequently the noise from outside was very loud till late in the evening. Not ideal when you have a young baby!

This hotel is in a great position but our room and balcony was overlooking a car lot. The general areas are in need of maintenance and feels like its decaying (peeling paint, chips, paint drips) Although advertised there is NO GYM. Breakfast feels cheap with coffee in paper cups and only 4 tables! I was awoken at 6:45 am on Sunday by the front desk asking if this was the number for the PH. It wasn't and got no apology for waking us up. The receptionists make no effort to greet you, they didn't seem to care at check in or check out - not a warm welcome. The upside is the use of the beach club and also that the rooms are well proportioned and clean and I suspect if you are not in room 403 overlooking the car lot you will have a more uplifting vacation but if you thought you were paying for a room with a reasonable view and the use of a gym in a well maintained facility then you would feel a little bit like you had just overpaid for your stay!!!!

They do not tell you that they stick you with an additional $50.00 a day charge for going to the beach! Boo!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay there. The Bentley has it all. Being right at 5th street and ocean, this hotel is right in the thick of things in south beach. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we could ever want including a fridge, microwave, plates, silverware, and the list goes on and on. The front desk staff were extremely courteous, classy, and helpful. To top it all off, our room was very reasonably priced to boot. The only aspect of our stay that I can think of that could use improvement was the continental breakfast --- its fairly minimal with just pastries, juice, and coffee. However, I suppose that's to be expected for a smaller hotel, and if you are having breakfast at the hotel then you aren't doing south beach right :-). In summary: the Bentley is the perfect place to stay in South beach, and I've tried quite a few over the years.

I thought the hotel & employees were great!! Very nice & accomodating. the beds are extrememly comfortable! The only complaint I have is that their window coverings don't keep the room dark in the morning. I just like to sleep ;-) thanks!

right in the heart of south beach, convienient valet parking, restaurants everywhere.

It was nice experienced. Loved it

I've stayed here twice - March of 2011 and July of 2012. Both times, I got the exact same room: a one-bedroom suite. I traveled both times with one guy frind and we like our own privacy so the one-bedroom was the way to go. The pull-out sofa is not the most comfortable. The location of the hotel is great but do not expect a resort-like feel to this hotel as there is not much to the hotel other than your room.... except for the pool. The pool area on the roof is great. Again, no resort bar up there or anything but a great view of the beach. I would recommend this place.

Overpriced and overated hotel. I'll give it 1 star. I've had a better experience in a motel 8. Hidden charges (i.e. parking fees and resort fee totalling to $60 extra per day). 30+ minute wait to get your car from valet parking. Suite room very small. No ice available. Cable TV not working in room. Complementary breakfast a joke. One muffin and bitter OJ, cereal with not milk or bowls! Pool water dirty. Balcony furniture cheap and flimsy. Shower cold/hot indicators are reversed. Be ready to trip on exit door to the balcony. It's dangerous. The list goes but I don't have the time.

Maintenance issues were not fixed after 3 referrals.Some website services did not exist. Breakfast on weekends was not available until after 8am and was set up in the small foyer between the lift, kitchen door, reception desk and the sole desk used as the business centre. The only breakfast tables available were located on an outside balcony in full sun or pouring rain without cover. There was no laundry facility. We were charged a resort fee, and when questioned what it was for, were told it was for breakfast, wifi and 2 beach towels. This hotel was overpriced for the quality of service received. We would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends.

great service, great location

A little old. Furniture not secure. This hotel has potential but not worth what it cost to stay there.

Very disappointing. Room was big enough but stains on the carpet, dingy hallway, weird smells... and $65 overnight parking. Will certainly not come back.

Nervous about staying here because Trip Advisor had some negative reviews. GLAD I did not listen to them. This hotel was great. The location is the BEST in SoBe and the room was great. When I was leaving the hotel for dinner our last night I mentioned in passing that I needed to buy bandaids for a blister on my foot from some Fabulous shoes I wore the night before. The desk clerk actually stopped me and gave me a bandaid and said, have a good night. Nice people are hard to find in Miami sometimes but this hotel has some. Great romantic getaway but probably not the best option if you are bringing kids.

Convenient and amenities were great

After booking room and arriving late, I was told by hotel attendant, "I had to run up to your room and clean it," meaning the room was advertised as available on hotels.com but not cleaned. When I entered room, I couldn't tell which bed had been slept in, the towels were wet (obviously from previously occupant), trash not emptied, etc. Filthy and disgusting! It was 1am and I had no choice but to stay. The worse experience I've had in any hotel in the last ten years.

I traveled with a group of 6 girlfriends to Miami and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, beach club and service! We couldn't stop talking about how great the location & service were. We would all stay there again on our next visit to Miami!

No major issues with the stay, service quality ok however not excellent in any way. Hotel location nice, but hotel itself is getting old. Clean and ok, but wear and tear here and there. Sort of minimalistic approach. The continental breakfast on the terasse overlooking SoBe was nice (the view). Sometimes slow valet parking. Rock bottom not really value for money, but ok. Won't be a hotel I say "I remember..." either from a positive nor negative dimension.

The picture you see does NOT resemble this hotel at all. It's a total WOW when you arive. The room was very small, it was not worth the fortune we paid for it. The private beach is four blocks away. You pay a daily fee for the private beach and you have to walk through the slums to get there. Someone used our room number for there beach chairs and then they wanted to argue with us that it was us and not give us our chairs and umbrella. The breakfast was the same everyday. If you stay for a night maybe two it is ok. After that it gets very old. Waffles and yogurt, no eggs, no meat. We wished we would had saved the money and got a cheaper hotel, it would have probably been more enjoyable.

The suite was great, the location of the Hotel was great...plenty to see and do around the area, the service was excellent. I loved the bathroom and expecially the shower area, careful when you turn on the shower....the hot setting is the cold and the cold is hot. The only negitive aspects was the parking and the cost of parking ( I guess you have to expect that around South Beach) and the condition of the carpet in the bedroom...terrible! Thankfully the rest of the Suite was tile. Enjoyed the stay and would go back again.

Don't stay here. Would pay 2x to stay at the W next time

Nice and clean in a great location but was suprised by the unexpected "resort fee" and having to walk a 1/2 mile to get beach chairs at the other Bentley. The partial ocean view was a wall.

We were here for 3 nights after a year in Santa Barbara, on our way home to the UK via Florida. When we arrived at the hotel we had a BIG problem (won't go into details here). The hotel dealt with it for us and we have to give them a great big thankyou - our trip could have been ruined after an already highly stressful day getting there (a different story!). The hotel is right on the front, the building is at deco (at least inside) and the rooms fine and well maintained. We used the rooftop pool and hot-tub once each and also (3 times) the 'private' beach area which is a 10 minute walk to another Bentley hotel where you get a padded sunbed and parasol. You also get free internet use and an excellent free breakfast - the pastries are fantastic. If we had to find a fault I guess the hot water for the tea could do with being hotter. If we go back to Miami we wouldn't even consider anywhere else. Oh, and if you mention you're staying in the hotel the restaurant outside the entrance (Bellini) will give you a 25% discount...

I cannot say enough about this hotel -the service was great, the neighborhood was great (beach across the street, restaurants, bars, and shopping all within easy walking distance) -but I was absolutely flabbergasted when I saw the room!! It had a balcony that overlooked the beach, and was one of the most romantic set ups I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. I will definately stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was beautiful and close to everthing I needed, however I am very dissatified with the cleaniness of the shower. The staff is not maintaining the shower. There was MOLD in the shower and I am an asthmatic. The mold in the shower set me off with nearly having an asthma attached. Thank God I carry my nebulizer with me. It shorten the shorthness of breath. However I would like to have my money refuned to me for my inconvience and the endangerment of my health.

My husband and I stayed here because we were going to Key West the next day and wanted to stay on South Beach since neither of us had ever been. The hotel is nice, close to the beach and we got a great price. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The valet parking is very expensive ($30/day) but there isn't a lot of other parking so we didn't have a choice. The only downside of our stay was the noisy trash pick up in the morning. I had read about it in other reviews so I was warned, you just don't realize how loud it is until you experience it. We were able to go back to sleep and I'm sure its something you have to deal with at every hotel on South Beach. Overall, I would stay here again if we decided to stay on South Beach.

this hotel is gorgeous, and right on ocean avenue across from the beach. the only downside is the obligatory valet parking, but that's to be expected on south beach!
