This hotel is cheap for a reason. On the plus side its very central and cheap. On the downside the room stunk of damp and mould up the walls, under the bed was full of rubbish and one of the receptionists was rude and abrupt to just about everyone - I think he needs to find a new passion in life! If you're looking for a cheap stay central in Florence then its OK. Otherwise I'm sure there are better venues

The room was large, the bathroom was updated, except for the hairdryer which looks like a vacuum. The room was stuffy, the cleaners used seem to take up all the oxygen. Even opening the window did not help much. The breakfast was adequate, supplying pastries, fruit, cheese, cereal, juice and hot beverages. The location was great. 1.5 blocks from the train station, 3 blocks from Duomo Santa Maria Fiori. Shops and restaurants all around.

This hotel is conveniently located a short walk from all the great attractions. I think the building has seen better days, but was still a fairly comfortable experience.The staff are quite friendly, but I felt a bit misled because of the parking arrangement where they didn't clarify that I was actually paying the city tax which was the same amount as the parking; I then also had to pay twice the amount, because the rate they quoted was actually for a single day and not the duration of my stay. Reasonably priced for it's proximity to the hotspots.

There was at least a 1.5ft of black mold all overthe bath ceiling! Also a little bit of mold in our room. The front desk clerk seem to not understand of why this was a problem! The staff was willing to move us the next day.

It was very good. The location is just perfect. Very close to the train station and major sightseeings. The room was clean and the breakfast was alright. A/C was not working alright. I think it was overall a good stay.

Conveniently located 3min walk from the Florence SMN. Nice and clean rooms. Continental breakfast is well enough. Recommended for short break.

Plus points: hotel is very near train station and the centre of town in reasonably safe area. You got breakfast that we didn't know before arriving, the beds were extremely comfortable and I slept really well with no noise. Negative points: Hotel and room was extremely dated, decor was falling off the walls, everything is mismatched, TV was stuck up in the corner wall of our room where you could hardly see it, hotel reception not very friendly, bit dirty around the edges, breakfast selection not bad but coffee was horrible and there were a lot of dirty plates and cups not cleared away. Would I stay again? Yes but I would try the competition first.

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations are small by American standards, but adequate by European. The carpet was worn and the wallpaper was old, there is heavy tourist traffic in Florence. The location was excellent. We walked from the train and were minutes from most points of interest. Breakfast was more than adequate. The daytime desk employee was a bit surly and the windows could use screens.

1.5 Stars and that's being kind. Convenient to the train albeit that puts it on very noisy/main street. Given the low price it was passable as a low cost accommodation that's convenient to the major train station.

I didn't like this hotel at all. The room was tiny with zero floor space. The carpeting in room and hotel was old and smelled old. The shower was tiny and you had to climb over the toilet to get to it. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel. I'm surprised it's ratings on your site weren't much lower. We ended up having to stay in Florence for 2 additional nights due to a change in itinerary, and switched hotels immediately.

Convenient location, good breakfast, pleasant staff, lift only goes to 3rd floor! Decor a bit tired.We were given new soap in the bathroom every day,bit odd!

When I checked in, they asked me to pay 3 euros each night for some kind of government fee. That is 12 euros in total. I don't know why it is not included in my order.

The room was adequate for my 3 night stay. The staff were professional but a bit stuffy.They weren't rude in any way and assisted when asked.

Enjoyed our stay/first time in Tuscany. Had very nice view from the street. We slept well in our clean room. Was supposed to have Wi-fi access in room according to booking/hotel staff but was only able to access wi-fi in the waiting/reception area and signal is lost in our room. Was still a great value and close to the train station/sights.

The hotel was a bit run down but it was clean and close to the train station. I think I got what I paid for.

Had a great time in Florence, unfortunately our room over looked the main road and was quit noisy until midnight.

The room was mediocre and the staff were only slightly better. Breakfast was typical to Italy - no hot breakfast, only pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice (not fresh, nor 100% real), and deli meats. The location is the only allure, given the price.

very convenient to everything

Nice hotel property, clean and AC worked, but not outstanding in details. Good European style breakfast buffet. Location just a block from the Santa Maria Nouvo train station in Florence makes it worthwhile.

During our 3 night stay, we changed rooms 3 times. All rooms had a strong odor as if the windows were not opened in years. Everything smelled awful that I couldn't even hang up my chlothes in the closet. Furniture were extremly old and everthing appeared to be dirty. Hair dryer did not work, bath tub was leaking, silverware and dishes were dirty for complementary breakfast. I don't know how this hotel received a 3 star rating.

Hotel staff was very rude when we checked in, rude about paying the taxes (cash only but did not forewarn us). Even more rude to our travel friends who came by to visit for a few minutes and see the view (no view really). Shower was TINY. Bed was old and air con did not work. Wi-fi only worked in the downstairs lobby but barely. Overpriced for the quality.

The hotel is located on a busy street and on the weekend it was hard to sleep. Just bring earplugs if you like convience to the city fun and the train station.

Old and tired hotel. The carpet, the walls, the duvet cover were old and looked dirty. The hotel didn't allow you to turn on the air conditioner and when we opened the windows, we were greeted by a mouldy roof of another building and mosquitoes. The TV took so long to flip channels. The hairdryer was like an old vacuum breathing its last. The breakfast was sad.

very good location! the plastic door in the shower was dirty...kind of disgusting because the space was minimum when it was closed, but the towels and sheets were clean. good service. awesome breakfast!

Good location - close to train station and walking distance to many sights. Small room. Overall OK. Would stay there again for same price.

Pros: -Great location! (close to the train station). -Relatively inexpensive for Florence. Cons: -Internet: This was very important to me and I was extremely let down... as the description promised internet in the rooms. The truth is if you are staying in a room higher than the first floor you can expect not to have any internet connection at all in your room. The signal doesn't reach that far. I was staying on the 4th floor and had to come down stairs each time I wanted to check my email... plus the connection was extremely slow... sometimes took 15-20 seconds just to load Google's home page for example. -The whole place has a strange moldy smell. -It's dimly lit and dreary inside. -The puke green color motif of the carpet, bed-spread, and curtains is not working for me. I felt uncomfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. -The bed blanket looked like it hadn't been washed for a year... there was long black hair all over it (not my own, yuck!). -The bed was hard and and the padding thin. The first morning I woke up my back was aching a bit... I got used to it by the second night though. -The staff is helpful as long as you don't ask them for help. -The breakfast was not great, the pastries we a tad stale, the coffee on-tap tasted like NesCafe, the plates were not washed with care, and they were still wet, and there was remnants of food still crusted on them from previous meals. -The rooms were very small and the shower was tiny and awkward to use. The blow dryer wasn't great either... looked like a vacuum cleaner attachment. -The elevator goes only to the 3rd floor so if you're on the 4th floor like I was you have to hall your luggage up a flight of stairs. -The rooms were a tad cold even with the heat on... the lobby felt like they never turned the heat on. -The toilet didn't flush well... occasionally I had to repeatedly flush like 3 times. Summary: I love the fact that it's close to the train station. I could deal with the smell, the lack of cleanliness, and t

You should tell me in advanced that the access for private cars to this hotel is impossible !! I wasted hours to find a leagal way to arrive there.

CONVENIENT AND ADEQUATE.

If no other choice...then Hotel Bonciani...seriously.
