Hotel Palace Praha - פראג

We stayed here to celebrate New Year in Prague and all Staff (with exception of the Breakfast Dining Room Staff) were extremely pleasant and helpful even though the hotel was very busy at this time of year. The room was spacious and very clean and the hotel is within easy walking distance to all the major sight seeing attractions. The only complaint was the miserable staff in the Breakfast Dining Room. Breakfast is served until 11am but when we arrived in the dining room at 10:35 we were met with very miserable faces and most of the food cleared away. However the hotel is beautiful.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The conceirge were very helpful, informative. Hotel within walking distance of everything and quite at night. Longest distance to charles bridge but is a 15 - 20 minutes walk and beautiful surrounding as you walk. The only negative for me is the decoration. RED RED, not very elegant for my taste, not a definitive style of decor. Enjoy Prague, a beautiful city, try to attend a concert at the Rudolfiln and local churches.

we had a nice time apart from the first night. We arrived in the hotel 11 pm tired from our trip only to find out they give out our room. I paid the whole 4 night stay up front to hotels.com. And we were transferred to a city hotel nearby which we find not of the same value as we expected. There are call cards advertised in the elevators for prostitues and night clubs . Unfortunately as well I left a very nice and personal Loccitane body wash which i just bought from UK and my zara shoes in the room. Less than 12 hours when i find out and I return immediately and they said they couldn't find them. and the room was already occupied. And because of that experience I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Many pluses to this hotel: location, architecture, room size, modern bathroom. Negatives: window blind was broken and I couldn't raise it to see the morning sun, tv remote control had every single button worn out - how do you know what is what? Most annoying of all - on both mornings I heard a very slight knock at my door, no announcement (i.e. 'Housekeeping!'), and someone came in only to find find I was still present/in-bed (I could not see the person/door from the bed). They quickly exited. I have to presume it was maid service though both times this occured before 8:30am! In hindsight I should have made a bigger deal of this with hotel management.

Excellent dinner service at the hotel restaurant. Frindly staff. Excellent location. The room is nice and clean. The only comment is about the TV and the remote control. They were outdated. Some of the words on the remote were faded and you could only guess if you were changing the channels or the volumn. Overall, it was a great hotel. We'll stay there again.

Contrary to indication, this is a non-smoking hotel. Other than that inconvenience for me, it was a superior experience in every way. I can't recommend this superior hotel too highly. Beautiful architecturally, great central location but on a quiet street, first-class service.

The hotel is near some sites and very close to the Banhof. But it is far from the town center, about a 15 minute walk. There are some good sites near by, such as the Mucha Museum. The service was fair, helpful but not enthusiastic. The breakfasts were wonderful, complete and the staff very helpful in the restaurant. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Worth the money.

I was really very pleasantly surprised. I've stayed at lots of hotels in Prague -- including the Four Seasons and the Mandarin Oriental -- and I really liked the Palace Praha. While not as elegant as the Four Seasons or Mandarin, it's very nice hotel with excellent amenities and a fantastic bargain at the price we paid. You walk a short bit to get to the main historic areas of Prague but if you turn the right way, the walk takes you through some charming streets that are classic Prague charm.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was kept very clean and it was comfortable and an excellent base for exploring Prague. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and the poached eggs were excellent. I wasn't keen on the boiled and scrambled eggs though but it's good that they cater for a number of nationalities. The room was quiet but on the Saturday night until just after 12am there must have been a nightclub or bar nearby and there was extremely loud terrible dance music. It didn't go on through the night but I was a little surprised. On the Sunday we were out all day but when we came back at about 5pm our room was only being cleaned. I just thought it was a bit late and it wasn't the turn down service which seemed to be done not much later than 5pm. Everything else was great about this hotel and I would recommend it to friends.

Really nice hotel - great rooms, very clean and well kept. Good service, good food. Great location for sights. Very good value on hotels.com. When my scheduled ride to the airport did not show up due to a mix up, the front desk immediately helped me with alternative plans. They were really wonderful and everything worked out just fine. I have been here twice and will return again. If you are traveling from elsewhere and coming in by train, it is an easy walk to this hotel. But beyond that it happens to be in the heart of the pedestrian zone and not far from the old square.

The Palace hotel was a great base for a weekend in Prague. Our standard room was huge, really clean and nicely decorated. We found it a little unusual that our double bed had two single quilts on it but I guess thats a small issue! The buffet breakfast was decent, not really to our taste but as hotel buffets go certainly not bad, a greater variety of fresh fruit would have been great! The location is steps from Wenceles square, an easy ten minute stroll to old town square and 15 max to Charles Bridge!

HPP is situated not five minutes from Old Town, but far enough to be quiet at night and not overwhelmed by tourists during day hours. There is a metro station less than two minutes from the front door, and the central post office is across the street. Hotel staff was friendly and able to point out desired destinations on a map. My one complaint is that I was on a non-smoking floor and the housekeeping staff smoked in the maintenance rooms.

Booked hotel based on it being a 5 star hotel. Only good thing is location. Rooms very small and look nothing like photos on web site. Service was terrible and nothing was consistant. Booked executive room so you choice of view is innercourtyard facing garbage or street view facing dorm with loud students. Hotel should be a 3 1/2 star rating

Great hotelli with good location. Staff was helpful and breakfast rich except coffee, I prefer coffeepots with strong coffee... Other small minus point was taken when rooms where without wireless internet connections, cable connection is not suitable with tablets!

Fantastic hotel, great staff, lovely rooms, excellent location. Best place to stay in Prague. This was my second time there, I would return again... we were there for a week. Each time excellent! front desk staffed by very kind and professional people who are totally helpful.

The Hotel Palace Praha is in a very good location for getting to all the main attractions whilst being tucked away from the busy streets and squares. The service and standard of the hotel justifies it's star rating. The staff were personal and very accomodating making our stay one to remember. This was a perfect break for a special occasion.

This is a very nice and well-run hotel; the staff are helpful and invariably friendly, the rooms spacious, clean and convenient. Standards are high. Breakfast is outstanding. The bathrooms are all marble, with new fittings, and in good order. It has a nice feel to it, and is a very pleasant oasis to return to after a day of walking around the City. The beds are unusually hard, as a previous reviewer noted, but this did not bother me. Service is unobtrusive but very consistent; friendly but not chatty or too-friendly in any way. All requests were cheerfully accommodated. It is not an ultra-luxe place, but has everything one could reasonably want; I would definitely go back.

Hotel was immaculate. Only 3 blocks to Main train station. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet the best We have ever had. Fantastic!. Cannot say one bad thing about this hotel. A fabulous stay!

I have been visiting Prague since the 1970`s, different era in those days, have stopped in many hotels in Prague, but the PALACE is one of the best - a fantastic location, spotless clean, staff very friendly and free Internet in the business lobby, excellent choice at breakfast time, - good car service to the airport. And we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary in style -

We were very impressed with the service and attention of hotel staff, this hotel delivered on it's 5 star rating,we just wish we could have stayed longer but look forward to visitng again.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. I was attending a medical conference. The hotel's accomidations were excellent.

We loved our stay here! We were upgraded upon our arrival to an Executive Suite, which was very nice of them. While the room was a tad small, it was luxurious and not cramped. All the amenities were there, minibar was expensive but not ridiculous, television had an excellent selection of movies for our after-sightseeing relaxation. The bathroom was BEAUTIFUL, with a huge tub and lots of marble- the water was quickly hot and had great pressure. The hotel staff was very kind, and helped us select and purchase tickets to the orchestra, as well as having a decently priced money exchange. The one gripe I had was that despite notices for 24 hour room service, when we tried to order food both nights around 11 p.m., the line down to room service simply rang and rang. This hotel was perhaps a 10 minute, easy walk to Wenceslas Square, allowing us to pop in and out. We easily walked all the way to the Charles Bridge and back, making it's location far enough away for it to quiet down in the evening, but close enough for fun when we wanted it. **DISCLAIMER** For those of you arriving by airplane, do not pay more than 700 crown for your cab ride there. If you are arriving by train and are not overwhelmed with baggage, it is definitely within walking range- we wished we had known this!

This is a top notch hotel in the very center of Prague. The staff were smiling and very helpful - without being pushy. The room was in great condition, good beds and a nice bathroom. The lobby bar was a nice, quiet place with service at your table. Wireless internet available in the whole hotel is also a plus

Great location- near the public transportation and many sites

The hotel was very comfortable and met all our expectations. The breakfasts were very good and enabled you to fill up for a good start to your sightseeing day. Hotel extras eg bottle of water in the room and minibar were ridiculously expensive. Hotel limosiune service to the airport should have been more competitively priced to make it more attractive than taking a taxi. Instead of calling a taxi for us the porter called a private car to take us to the airport for a fixed fare, but the ride was slightly hair raising.

We got to the hotel from the subway - totally convenient. It is literally walking distance from all areas including the main train station. The free breakfast was great and they even brought it to our room for 200. They gave us a great corner room with a nice view and big picture windows. The only complaint we have was the air conditioner felt as if it didn't work . . . but it was excellent. All of it.

This is a very nice hotel in a good location, walking distance to old town but off the main street so fairly quiet. The rooms are large, the breakfast is very good, the bathroom is nice. The size of the room and the nice breakfast was the highlight. The staff was also nice and accommodating. My only two qualms were this, beds are much firmer than American beds so hard to get comfortable and air conditioning seemed to only get down to about 75 degrees which felt warm for sleeping.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely satisfied with the personal attention given to any request.I was allowed an early check-in after having traveled overnight to Prague from Budapest.After a few hours restorative sleep, an amazingly hot shower, I was ready for an afternoon of sightseeing.The breakfast quality was very good with a nice choice of fresh fruits as well.The hotel is kept spotlessly clean with turndown service each night.Great bathroom with plush towels and terry robes, plus L'occitane bath products which were replenished twice a day.I look forward to returning to this wonderful establishment .

From the moment I wlked into the hotel they treated me as a very special guest. The staff was very imformative.

Gorgeous lobby and breakfast area, fantastic breakfast, lovely service, incredible value for price we paid!! Room temperature a bit too warm.

-- will suit many discriminating travallers interested in good food, classic european attention, and very helpful front desk attention for the first time visitor-- Everyone spoke english and was very understandable to Canadians who do not speak another language.

Fint hotell med gangavstand til alt i Gamlebyen. God frokost, rent og ryddig. Bor gjerne her igjen.

Bra läge, med gångavstånd till allt. Stenhårda sängar, slitna rum, tjock TV med dåligt utbud av kanaler på Engelska, de flesta är dubbade. Hotellstäderskan envisades med att knacka på dörren i tid och otid, jag tror att de tänkte att det var bra service men det fick helt motsatt effekt. Frukosten var bra, det fanns det man kan önska. Antal stjärnor på detta hotell stämmer inte med hur det ser ut. Kanske är inte standarden högre här eller så lever detta hotell på gamla meriter.

Hôtel très bien situé, au coeur de la ville, mais dans une rue en retrait de tout le bruit venant du centre. Super service et très bon restaurant. A récommander.

Det första vi fick veta när vi anlände till Palace var att vårt rum var överbokat och att vi skulle få tillbringa första natten på SAS Radisson ett par kvarter därifrån. Vänlig och trevlig service, men irriterande att behöva ändra hotell som dock var bättre på två punkter, nämligen frukost och fri internet i rummen. Frukosten på Palace var helt ok och inrymde det mesta, men SAS Radisson (hotel Alcron) var ett snäpp bättre. Många gånger dåligt med plats att sitta lobbyn på Palace när man skulle koppla upp internet, somm kostade extra på rummen och bara var fri i lobbyn. Utmärkt läge och gångavstånd till det mesta.

Ficamos em apartamento duplo, sendo que o mesmo tem 2 quartos e por 4 dias ficamos somente eu e minha esposa, porém no Quinto dia, foi instalado outro hóspede no mesmo apartamento que nós, porém no quarto ao lado. Não entendi nada, porque as demais dependências do Apto. são comuns e não faz sentido ter pessoas estranhas. Outra situação estranha foi o lançamento de uma diária no meu cartão de crédito, sem o meu conhecimento. Somente fique ciente no Check Out, quando fui efetuar o pagamento em dinheiro e lá já constava o debito da diária em meu Cartão. Isto não estava esclarecido no ato da Reserva e nem a situação de hospedar outra pessoa no mesmo apartamento. Foi constrangedor para nós e para o outro hóspede, acredito eu.

This a beautifull and recent hotel but not at five stars in western Europe standards. The restaurant is marvellous but expansive. The breakfast is divine. I recommand this hotel.

rent, god betjening, centralt

Mycket centralt hotell, endast ca tio minuter att gå från tågstationen och en minut från närmaste tunnelbana. Rent och snyggt överallt. Nära till de flesta sevärdigheter och museer i Prag. Det negativa är endast små detaljer, hade varit bra med eluttag för dator mm vid sängen och mer än ett eluttag vid skrivbordet. Priserna för öl, läsk, vin och godis något dyra på rummet (ca 3€ för en liten öl / läsk och 2.5€ för en chokladbit). Endast fast internet på rummen (0,5 Mbit som de kallar bredband??) och det kostade extra, ca 10€ per dag. Det fanns från vårt rum ett oskyddat trådlöst nät som gick att använda istället. Annars fanns fritt trådlöst nät via hotellet vid receptionen och där fanns även datorer att använda gratis. En frukostbuffé som inte lämnar något mer att önska, den innehåller allt man kan behöva och lite till.
