Nassau Palm Hotel - נסאו

The first 3 days of my 6 night stay they never came to service the room at all. No warm water was available even though I complained about it every day.. my 6 night stay meant 6 ice cold showers!. The roof in the corridor leaks when it rains resulting in rotten carpets and the horrible smell that goes with it.. The elevators are dirty and super slow.. Internet service does not exist in the rooms and in the common areas it's a hit and miss. the free breakfast consist of stale bread, oatmeal, muffins, watered down juice & coffee... and even that they cannot do right... one of the morning's during my stay the coffee was not available and when I asked the "restaurant manager" about it he got annoyed with me for asking.. Set you expectations to the lowest and I guarantee you will still be disappointed..

The hotel needs maintenance upgrade

The place wasn't clean and needs a upgrade fast, the shower had salt water smh never again I slept with my clothes on...

could use a little sprucing up /great location beach front sites/helpful staff

Extreme neglect to maintenance... Always interruptions in services like Internet, water supply, Elevators all broken, etc... They even cheated me by checking me into a lesser room than what I paid for and when you ever point out any of these things to them its NEVER THEIR FAULT.. they always blame it on someone else.. Mistakes can be forgiven but failure to correct or at least acknowledge mistakes is unforgiving in my books.. STAY AWAY from this horrible hotel if you wish to avoid unnecessary stress in your life..

The Elevator is horribly slow, it have broken tiles and scratches all over the walls.. In general the elevator is a nightmare to use considering there is only one elevator and approximately 160 rooms on 5 floors. The rest of the building is equally lacking proper maintenance. The rooms were not bad though the furniture is old, at least its not too dirty. During my stay at this hotel, I was stuck without internet connection for about a day and the next morning there was no water to take a shower. Not to mention they put me in a room without a balcony after I paid for a room with a balcony... But don't worry, nothing is ever their fault. They are always ready with an excuse to blame it on someone else. The location of this Hotel is the best part of it... Junkanoo beach is across the street from the hotel.. Other than that this hotel have nothing good to offer.

the service was very poor, in the reservation was there that we would have internet in the room, we did not had, that is a shame, we are a couple of travelers, we do travel all year long for at least 330 days a year, and there we had found one of the worst breakfast ever... has nothing, definitely nothing that we could call healthy, and if you wish a egg, you should pay 2,5USD for each egg, have no words for that... once i want to boil something on the kitchen, then i should pay 30 extra bucks for that, surprisingly bad, we never had changed our towels, every evening we should go down to the reception with our dirt towels and beg to them to change to us, kinda a favor, please,,,, unacceptable ... anyways, bahamas weather is good

my stay was ok apart from one of the front office agent who check me mi in Saturday night she was very rude she did not let me feel welcome

I had better stayed elsewhere. Pictures on the internet can really fool you. Tried to make the best of it but couldn't. Paradise island next for sure. Spend a little extra all inclusive and be comfortable. I changed rooms 3 times.

My family stayed here for one night before we were going to Atlantis. It was just fine for that. Would not want to stay there for my whole vacation. But the rooms were adequate and the pool was nice. You get what you pay for and this wasn't much so I have no complaints.

Staff was friendly and accomodating. Easy walk to downtown Nassau, Junkanoo Beach offered great snorkeling, tiki bars, etc.Hotel room was clean and housekeeping was above the average. I'll stay again!

The hotel definitely looks nicer from the outside! we got there and the lobby was very small! It also had an armed guard in the lobby (scary!), and they gave us wristbands to wear so that we could prove we were guests of the hotel. I guess they have had problems of people walking in. Our room was dingy and musty smelling. The coffee pot didn't fit the coffee maker so we couldn't have any coffee. There was also a small hole in the door so we could see out the bottom of the door. Some positives of the hotel: it was whithin walking distance of the beach and shopping downtown, it had a travel person in the lobby to help plan some activities, our room had cable with lots of American channels, and a good continental breakfast. Would not stay at this hotel for more than one night, but becasue we were staying before boarding a boat and we stayed out of the room, it was OK.

We didn't have to pay the "energy surcharge" because we booked through hotels.com. All the receptionists at the lobby were helpful. The room was generally clean, although the bathroom stinks the entire 3 nights we were there and we don't know why. Our safe also did not work and the hotel pool does not look clean. The great thing about the hotel is its location. It is across Junkanoo Beach. If you walk one side, it's 20 minutes away from Arawak Cay/Fish Fry and the if you walk the other, it's 20 minutes away from Downtown Nassau. We're from New York, so we didn't mind walking. We took a cab to Atlantis in Paradise Island that cost us $20.

IT IS A NICE HOTEL AND GOOD LOCATOIN

Terrible front desk service, room was decently clean though everything (including the sheets) were old. Not worth the $$$

The staff were unapologetic about the condition of the hotel and lack of amenities; i.e clean towels and a fully functioning lock on the door. The response to these complaints was "This is a 2 star hotel, what did you expect?" The desk positioned in the lobby selling day trips and booze cruises was annoying to pass coming in and out of the hotel. It felt like I was being harassed rather than approached by the salesperson. I was forced to wear a paper bracelet and told on the 2nd day that it was mandatory for security purposes. Well, "security" sure dropped the ball because I had been waltzing in and out undetected, and certainly wasn't asked by any other hotel employees if I was a guest, or simply hanging out on the property. It should probably also be mentioned that the guy responsible for renting out the scooters was less that professional, and hitting on teenage girls as they walked by with their parents checking into the hotel. Needless to say, I checked out on the 2nd day and went to the Best Western Bayview Suites on Paradise Island. THAT place I recommend. Excellent staff, great location, clean, comfortable rooms, and no hassle from anyone.

Filthy dirty, cockroaches, mold, rust stains, cigarette burns on the blankets, I couldn't loathe this place more if I tried. Left after three hours. It was like being in a tenement slum. No one should be subjected to this hotel.

We liked the small beach out front, walking distance to famous fish fry, next to cricket on the weekend and an easy walk into town. Not luxury, but great position.

it's old and need to be renovated. Our room was clean. the staff was helpful. it's within walking distance of the zoo which is a nice place to visit. Also within walking distance are several resturants. I can recommned the Twin Brothers. Great food. the price is resonable compared to everyone else. It is a $28 cab to the airport.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at. Should not even be called a RESORT. Very dirty, locals hanging out in the hallways seemed like a motel instead.

This is a fine hotel to crash for the night but it's not the prettiest. Kind of run down.

Skip it.

Terrible Customer Service. Only got the run around and passed off everytime I tried to call and check my sales team into the hotel.

I had a wonderful time. The hotel is clean - Friendly Staff- close to all the must-see sights. Reasonable prices

This hotel may have been close to the beach and the downtorn but it just wasn't for me. That was the only thing I liked about the hotel other than the front desk lady was nice.

Very bare bones and older hotel. Staff does the best the can with the property they have been given. Hotel is not well viewed by islanders so if you have a business meeting, host it somewhere else and don't tell anyone you are staying there!! Location is great for walking to the Fish Fry and even downtown.

everything is expensive in Bahamas but this place is okay. we didn't feel completely safe there either...

Only choose this hotel if you're transiting, as I was, or need a bare minimum. There is a small pool, and the location is convenient to the cruise ship port and a beach with a long promenade. The hotel manager saved the day for me, with a delay, but I was grateful anyway. The room I was assigned was dark, and within minutes of being there, I felt something move by my foot; ugh! It was a water bug, or a huge type of cockroach. I told the hotel I would not stay in that room. The manager came after a long while and upgraded me to a nice room on the ground floor by the pool (although the taps of the jacuzzi were rusty). No free internet; modest breakfast. Nothing to write home about, or get excited about; it's a sad place.

The Nassau Palm Hotel is close to the central part of Nassau where there was adequate shopping and easy access to the busses which went to all parts of the island. The staff were cheerfully friendly and helpful in all ways, The beach was just across the road where there was swimming or just sitting on the sand. I am happy with my stay there. Friends in Nassau knew exactly where to find me and parking was no problem when I was picked up to drive to various places,

The security and facility around this hotel are appreciate .The personnel are very polite and ready to help you.

It was a good hotel for the money no complaints here.

Everyone there is extremely hospitable and polite. They make sure you have everything you need and more.

Every negative comment you read about the Nassau Palms is 100% accurate!! Roaches, Mosquitoes in the rooms, dirty rugs, mold and mildew everywhere, friendly staff however they can never be found when you are in need of something. The location is very near to downtown, but its worth spending the extra $$$ and staying somewhere else. Continental breakfast NASTY, burnt muffins, toast, oatmeal, orange juice from concentrate (no thank you). I was scared for my fiance to leave us alone in the room I really did not feel safe. This place is 1 step above the projects really.

The location was great! It's right across the street from junkanoo beach and within walking distance to downtown or fish fry. The hotel is a bit dumpy, but the staff is very friendly.
