Great location, great rates!!! My only complain is the elevator which can take 15-20 mins. :(

Hotel was under construction and I would have chosen another location if you would have informed me.

Overall the Hotel was very good and clean. My suggestion is the hotel management disclose the fact that they are going through major renovations, thus allowing the guests to decide if they would like to stay there under such conditions. I was without electricity during the morning hours of my stay and informed of this after I had already checked in.

Overall my room was decent. The online photos are creatively and deceptively enticing... But in person the room is smallish and just doesn't quite live up to expectations. The neighborhood and surrounding areas are the real plus. I got a decent reduced rate through Hotels.com..... I would have been disappointed had I paid full price. The experience was "decent" but less than I had hoped for. I'd stay there again at a discounted rate.

In a very nice neighborhood. Subway stations are very close. Rooms are extremely clean and bathroom was the best, it was huge and clean and warm/

loved it. Was there last year (college reunion) and shall return.

Hotel personnel very nice. Restaurant convenient and good food. One complaint is due to construction it was very,very difficult to find. I had known of the construction inside the hotel but not on the outside. This made finding the hotel extremely difficult.

Rooms have just been refurbished. Very modern but not particularly comfortable. The elevators did not work for the five day stay - long delays and frustrated fellow guests. Great location near Broadway..

Have stayed at this hotel several times and loved it in the past. This was my first stay under the new ownership and renovation. Now HATE it and won't be back. The rooms look like they were designed by a second grader with bad taste: marble, glass and class have been turned into plastic, dank, dark and depressing environs that I can't imagine anyone would enjoy. I feel sorry for the staff, who are hearing this from all returning guests and who, from what I have heard, feel the same way and have no say or control.

Rooms were nice and clean, bed very comfortable, worth the price. Staff was accommodating to hold my bags after my checkout time so that I could continue my sightseeing. I would stay here again!

I got an excellent rate for one night. The room is spacious and the staff were really friendly. The bed was also really comfortable. There is a charge for wifi and guest must check out in person (I prefer the convenience of checking out over the phone). Great location and I was able to find parking on the street.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT. THE ROOMS WERE IMMACULATE. WILL DEFINITELY VISIT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

The entrance and lobby had me frightend.only one elevator was a little bit of a turn off but... The room was a great surprise. Clean, comfy,quiet....just great. If I didn't have to go through the lobby or the cleaning carts in the hall it would have been perfect!

Great stay. Excellent staff that helped with problems immediately. Under construction right now, so only one pair of working elevators, which made wait-time long.

Go north two blocks and you connect with the 1 subway line; walk five blocks south, and you have the choice of the 1, 2 or 3.. Three blocks east is Central Park. Lots of shops in the neighborhood. Good-sized clean room with a very comfortable bed. Ongoing construction limits elevator service to two cars, making for slow going at times.

Small room quaint European accommodations, narrow hallways, wonderful staff great location, quiet, large beds, flat screens, no wi-fi in rooms only in lobby and top floor, slow elevators, no room service, steps at entrance handicap elevator was not working, very clean and proximal to every thing.

Room was nice , great service at the desk. Room was clean and well kept. However the hallways where dirty and the room service Cart was always in the hallways during my stay.

Great location on upper west side. Superior room(?!?) was small(room door opened right on to the bed). Pricey for what get.

The new beds and furniture are top notch and we were brought a well-functioning refrigerator within a few minutes of our request. The hot water outage was repaired during the evening well before needed for morning showers. The decor is neat and brings smiles with the style and artwork. We really liked the new wood floors. As always, service was excellent and energetic, pleasant and helpful. Only detraction from the condition/maintenance rating was the ongoing construction's causing the cramped, actually, missing lounge and two out-of-use elevators. Amazingly, the two other elevators available sufficed even during busy times. Should be even better when the construction is finished. In the absence of the lounge, we were given complimentary in-room internet service. OTL doesn't miss a beat.

Do NOT book this hotel. You will regret it. It is one of the worst experiences I have had in traveling for over 25 years! The hotel was lobby was closed due to remodeling. Supposedly, the rooms had been renovated recently, but if so, it was a TERRIBLE job. The first night, I was put into a room that did not have a closet. It had hooks in a corner that you could not use at since they were too close to the walls. The bathroom was dirty and there wasn't ANY counter space to put things down. Just a small sink. The air-conditioner would not turn off even when it was put in the "off" position. The rooms do not have drawers, instead, they have cubbies for drawers that are covered with colorful metal doors that make the room look like a kindergarten room. I was moved to a larger room with a closet the second and third night. The bathroom door stuck so it was difficult to open it. The windows were almost impossible to open, and to make matters worse, there was NO hot water in the hotel for one night and the day I checked out. It was not fun taking a cold shower. When people complained about the lack of hot water, they were just told to hang on and that they were working on it. Upon checking out and letting the staff know, in a pleasant way, that my stay was less than enjoyable, I was just given a smile and a thank you for staying with us. I had expected more, but I was not surprised! Save your self frustration, money and fun...stay elsewhere!

We returned for a second visit to this hotel to find the lobby under construction. No place to sit or meet or think. I feel that hotels should give a warning when functional space is unavailable. We went to the "upgraded room" and found it bigger than the previous but still no where to sit except on the bed. Someone had neglected to flush the toilet. Did they even clean the bathroom? We needed a few extra hangers for our clothes ( a one week stay). It took 3 full days for our request to be filled. In total, this was a disappointing stay and we will look elsewhere next time.

I just went for a night with my husband bc our apt was getting some work done. Is a really nice place. But the hot water wasn't working and when it did the water came out brown. Had to wait 2 hours for the water to clear up. Over all everything was okay. The room looked lovely.

Very good. Would stay again. Only issue is renovations underway . Will be great when done. Room was terrific!

It's a clean hotel at a very great area. Near good food and entertainment. Great experience.

I was disappointed with the hotel. First of all when calling before arrival they did not indicate that they were doing renovations, and there was construction going on right across the street. It was also supposed to be a smoke free establishment and upon arriving on the floor that we were occupying the smoke hit you as soon as you got off the elevator and entered our room. The bathroom wasn't cleaned very well and there had been a leak in the room which left a stain on the ceiling, wall, and carpet. I am also spoiled by stays at other hotels and did not realize that they did not have room service. However there is a little burger spot right across the street that is open 24/7 and the food is delicious. The upside to the stay is that the representatives were very friendly and helpful.

The room was lovely except for the door to the adjoining room. There was no sound barrier between the two rooms. Also staff were very talkative in the hallways which carried into the rooms. Restaurant was great. Attention to a room issue was prompt and efficient.

While the rooms have been finished, remodeling continues in the lobby. Only 2 out of 4 elevators were working, and one of the two was out of commission for a day and a half.

Very bad hotel.

Great hotel would stay again on my next visit close to lots of lovely places

While I am not a fan of the way in which the hotel re-decorated the rooms - and the lack of a chair, I like this place very much and have stayed there multiple times. It is safe, clean and very convenient to restaurants and public transportation. It is also quiet, and the rooms, while not spacious, are still very comfortable.

Great staff and location in the UWS. Rooms are clean and modern. Walking distance to great eateries and bars on Bday and Columbus, as well to central park, yet very quiet and relaxing. Will certainly come back.

During my stay, April 2013, the lobby was under renovation. My room had been renovated already with a simple, modern design. The room was very nice and clean, if a bit small. The queen-size bed was wonderfully comfortable!! There were great little reading lights attached to the headboard.The blankets were warm. There were lots of electrical sockets on the night tables and throughout the room for all electrical devices. There was a safe in the room. The bathroom was great, if a little cramped. The bathroom had marble walls and the steel sink and counter. The shower stall was of a very generous size, and it had a European-style shower-handle/showerhead. The air-conditioning work well. There was a large flat-panel TV on the wall, but I never used it. There was a iPod speaker-dock-clock on the night table, but it only had an FM band, no AM band for news and weather. There were coffee and a coffee maker in the room, but I never used it. The one major drawback to my stay was that I had to pay for wi-fi, $14.10, including tax. :-( I would recommend this hotel, and, if I ever needed to be in the area again, B'way and 77th, I would stay there again.

You do not have control over the temperature of your room. The temperature of my room steadily increased over the days I was there as I was told the A/C had not been turned on for the building. They recommended leaving the window open instead - I can't do that due to allergies, and this is peak allergy season. My room simply got increasingly uncomfortable and stuffy while I was there. Strange thing is that the lobby area was nicely air conditioned. It's a shame since the rooms themselves are nicely furnished and clean while small. Would not recommend, would not go again.

The people up front are great. always welcoming with a great disposition. I love the renovations they've made. Bed definitely loves my back. Always happy to stay here. Can't wait to see how much better the lobby is after construction.

Very nice hotel. Great beds! Beautiful bathroom and walk in shower. Keurig coffee maker was wonderful to have in the room! Lobby was under construction so one of the elevators not working and lobby not usable. Can't wait to see the finished result. Nice Italian restaurant with late hours attached with great food. We used several times, but Hostess was quite rude one night so we did not return. The only downside of the room was that the furnishings were so modern, that there was no comfy chair or drawers to put your clothes in so had to live out of a suitcase for a week. If you are only staying for a weekend, this would not be a problem, but for a whole week, it was a bit inconvenient. Location was nice and safe! Two short blocks to the red line subway. Would definitely stay again, but not for a long trip.
