Magnolia Hotel Dallas - דאלאס

Our family of 3 adults stayed at the Magnolia for less than 24 hours to attend a wedding nearby, and we found our room very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The facilities were very nice, supplying everything we needed, and the staff that we had contact with were friendly and helpful. I slept very well and my daughter wanted to take a pillow home (she didn't). I always look for a place with a free breakfast and free internet which we found here. The breakfast was very delicious with a reasonable variety of food and drink available. I could see an attractive park area from our window which I would have liked to visit if we had had more time. There were other amenities that we didn't have time to experience. If we ever need to stay in central Dallas again I would definitely choose the Magnolia.

This place was not worth the money. The hotel room was dirty. The tub had black rings around it. The title in the bathroom was most likely from 1920's. The matress was so sunken in. They charge 28 dollars to park your rental car overnight. No comps such as breakfast or water. Will never stay at this hotel again.

I wasn't impressed with the Magnolia Hotel. Everything about it was average or worse. The rooms were very dark with cheap finishes, especially in the bathrooms. The staff was alright besides the bartender who infuriated everyone at the hotel bar. The location of the hotel was the only decent part. There are much better hotels in the downtown area.

I really enjoyed the hotel I had a great time. The staff was the best part of the stay very friendly and knowledgeable about downtown Dallas thumbs up across the board

I always stay at the Magnolia when I go to Dallas. It is historically wonderful. It has great service with a wonderfully staffed front desk and very comfortable and clean rooms. It is close to everything (restaurants, museums, parks, aquarium) and it is close to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) station which you can take to get pretty much everywhere you need to go -- even over to Ft. Worth. The complimentary wine/beer cocktail hour and complimentary cookies/milk at bedtime are very nice touches. And complimentary hot breakfast is varied and delicious. I also like the complimentary Wall Street Journal and USA Today newspapers. The hotel also has a complimentary van shuttle that will take you places within a 5 mile radius. For a downtown hotel, I believe their rates are competitively better than newer downtown hotels with less amenities.

Wonderful staff! Nicely done breakfast. Windows might need to be replaced eventually, but this is expected in older historical buildings.

Great hotel in downtown Dallas with great service and great perks.

This is a great hotel in the great part of downtown close to all entertainment. Will be on my list to stay there on next visit to Dallas

The staff were great. Hotel was clean.

Valet was a mess. Left my car with the windows down with keys in the ignition. The beds are hard as rocks, and the construction in the streets made for a long, loud night. I would NOT recommend this hotel ever.

The Magnolia hotel is located right in the heart of downtown...easy access to the Dallas Convention Center where we had a volleyball tournament. Very cool location, watched a car commercial being filmed right outside...good restaurants closeby. Very safe area. View of the Adolphus hotel was great....Clean, good room service and quality of food was good! Paid $139 a night which was awesome.

Great location, overall cleanliness was great, staff was attentive. Breakfast: average at best, but Very convient. Eggs were runny. Bacon was crispy, sausage a touch greasy. French toasts/waffle tasted like they were frozen than brought back to life via microwave oven. Coffee weak. The rest of the offerings were difficult to mess up, if one keeps in mind it all came out of a box/bag/carton. Evening drinks & cookies/milk. I'm unable to comment on the quality because we did not schedule our stay around them. Nice benefits we were unable to actually utilize. Location wise the hotel was in walking distance to the JFK memorial & the book depository. Food trucks at Clyde Warren Park & The West End. I would have given an all around 4 star for this review, if my significant other and I were not kept awake until 3 in the morning by the next door occupants. We could hear their laughing and screaming at the top of their lungs, as though they were actually in our room. I think a huge group of female teenagers, on their out of town sports tournament trip, booked the weekend. Lets just say they had the run of the place. It would have been considerate and good customer service if the hotel had given us a room away from the rowdy teens. Minus the rowdy teens, I might consider a repeat stay.

Just an overall great place to stay

Shuttle service (free) between hotel and convention center was amazing.

the front desk staff were extremely friendly, the most outstanding service was the shuttle service drivers, the staff overseeing the shuttle service, the staff loading and unloading luggage, they went completely out of their way to make us feel comfortable. In no other hotel have we been treated in this excellent way by the front line staff.

Wonderful stay! Were upgraded to a suite on the 26th floor for mentioning my fiancée s birthday, lovely surprise! Everyone very kind and helpful! Will definitely visit again!

I loved it, the fitness center was well equipped, the complimentary breakfast was great. Two things: I wish the breakfast stayed open til 11, and I wish there was just one more elevator only because the hotel is so large. I'd stay here again though, it was great.

Good staff. TV remote didnt work. No ice machine on the floor. Elevators took a long time. Large clean rooms. Great location.

We enjoy our stays at Magnolia Hotel in Dallas and always stay there

The entire staff was focused to make our over-night stay wonderful. Our every need was catered too. There is an evening time wine and beer event. Valet services were great. Staff was up-to-date on area restaurants and events.

Well located downtown. Super helpful friendly staff Great breakfast , milk and cookies, wine reception and shuttle to local attractions. All free!!! And Wi-fi too, free Spent a weekend here with my adult daughters and loved it. Highly recommend

Hotel is in need of upgrading. All the rooms are just old and worn out and look like they have about 30 coats of paint. In addition hallways and rooms had a musty odor and a smell.

difficult parking for drop off & pick up. they called double beds "queens". overall, too expensive for the quality/location/room size....not bad, just overpriced....

Staff was unconcerned. Said they would "rectify" my situation by talking to the front desk personnel that said I would receive free valet but was still charged. I would not have used the valet if I'd known they would not have stood by their employee's word.

Excellent place. Loved all amenities it had to offer. Only thing wrong was parking. U had to park a block away for self parking. I think valet parking was overpriced.

Very disappointed in the service beginning with pulling up to the hotel. The valet personnel said that I could not park on the street to check in so I pulled up to the valet service where he suggested I park while I checked in. I did not want to pay the high price of the valet service. I was asked to give my keys to the valet even though I was only checking in and planned to move my car to a parking garage. I requested that the attendant give me some proof that he was holding my key. After checking in,I asked the desk clerk where I could park my car and was told that since I had requested that I receive free parking if possible whenI made my reservation, that parking would be free. Believing that: I allowed valet to park my vehicle. I was billed for the overnight parking and was told that parking is never free even though a representative of The Magnolia had stated that. The manager informed the desk clerk that the cost would remain on my bill. I was not satisfied with that answer. I would not have used valet otherwise. I moved into a nearby parking lot and the rate was much less. It was the same lot that the valet used. Even after moving my car to the other lot, I was charged the overnight parking fee for another night. You must constantly be on your guard. No microwave, even though I was told that there would be one in my deluxe room. Lighting is very dim in the room. Refrigerator was in the closet and not clean.

We stayed at the Magnolia for 4 nights. The room was very small - only enough room to walk around the bed. The bathrooms are very large by comparison, almost half the size of the bedroom. The hotel offered nice extras including a buffet breakfast, a happy hour with up to 2 glasses complementary of their house wine and milk and cookies at night. Our room was clean, but showed some wear and tear. It is conveniently located in downtown Dallas - only a 10 minute walk to the Convention Center. We felt safe walking in the area and were able to get everywhere we needed to go without a car. The food offered in the hotel was tasty and a good value. The only downside to our stay was that service was exceptionally slow. While most of the staff was friendly, we had to wait a minimum of 40 minutes for any order in the hotel lounge (45 minutes for room service at night). Although the hotel offered up to 2 glasses of wine during their happy hour, I don't think it is possible to get 2 glasses of wine in the timeframe allowed because service was so slow. One night we tried to call room service and never received an answer to the phone call so we went down to the lounge to order our dinner. Even though there were only 4 tables with patrons, we waited about 40 minutes for bar food. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in downtown Dallas, just be sure you bring your patience as well as your luggage.

This hotel looked good in the pictures but don't be fooled. It's tired, dreary and dirty. Move on to the next option.

Very Dark. dirty & very small rooms. To much money for a closet. I should have stayed at Motel 6. Blinds were broken in 2 rooms.

The hotel overall was great with the exception of odd smell in the hallways. Not sure how to explain it, but it was strong enough for my wife and I to notice it as soon as we stepped out of our room. Loved the breakfast and fast valet parking. Great service at the front desk

My only complaint of this hotel is the dimly lit rooms. If it was dirty, you wouldn't know cause it was so dark. We were in town for an event at the majestic theater, and it was only .5 mile from there. Several eateries within walking distance.

Loved the hotel and staff! Everyone was just lovely! The valet staff, front desk staff, and the food/beverage servers were very attentive. The happy hour, though limited, was nice. The breakfast buffet is far from continental and varied on the two days we were there. For the most part, our room was good. It was very noisy! Our toilet kept running until we jiggled the handle, the a/c fan was very noisy, and if someone was walking down the hall, you could hear their conversation as if they were in the room. All that being said, I would totally stay here again!

It was a nice downtown stay, if you need to stay downtown. Unfortunately you still have the sirens to deal with all night long.

We have just had 4 nights here at Magnolia Downtown and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and obliging in every area we came into contact. The Hotel Car service also great. Our room 2113 was on a higher floor near a corner so some views. The complimentary brekky buffet, the cookie buffet at 8pm and the happy hour reception were all wonderful. We loved hanging out on the 2nd floor - especially the lounge with the fireplace - just spectacular. It is a fairly quiet place to stay - and there is very little shopping per se - but Neiman Marcus is next door if you want sticker shock - even at 75% off. We went to Campisis Restaurant in Elm Street which was a short 5 min walk. Very accessible to Convention Centre, Farmers Market, Pioneer Plaza, Dealey Plaza etc.

My husband went down there for a spur of the moment vacation a week before Christmas. Drove down there Monday and left Wednesday. We had to go to Cowboys stadium and Medieval Times. Those were our must do's. Everything else was a bonus. We arrived at the hotel and was pleased from the moment we stepped out to the valet parking (which we weren't expecting). Hotel was wonderful. It was old and so full of character (which we love). Very well maintained for its age and history. Beautiful. Also has a small gym that we took advantage of and the breakfast buffet was large and filling. The front desk employees were very knowledgable and eager to help. Especially Daniel and Jenifer. We talked with them the most, even though everyone was very friendly. Daniel recommended the Chophouse for lunch for us. That was wonderful. They didn't talk us out of Joe's Crab Shack (we don't have one near where we live). In a heartbeat we will stay there again if we go to Dallas. Great hotel, great highway access, great location, great views, great people!
