We are easy to deal with. The stay was fine. A place to crash, a bed, a shower. What else do you need?

This is a great example of how good a 2-star hotel can be. No, it's not glitzy, but my room was spacious and impeccably clean, and my bed was very comfortable. The girl at the front desk who checked me in was very sweet and helpful. Free wi-fi was fast and easy to connect to. The breakfast was above average for a continental breakfast (had a waffle-maker, etc). The area wasn't especially nice (a big row of hotels in an otherwise industrial-ish neighborhood, but it was super convenient to the freeway and lots of other things (restaurants, starbucks, walmart). It was definitely worth what I paid for it and I'd stay here again for sure.

We stayed here for 3 days . The housekeeping was very good. The bathroom fixtures were all clean, however the caulking around the toilet and tub were grungy looking and gave the appearance of being less than pristine. There was a little kitchenette with micro,fridge and sink which was nice. Staff were friendly. The manager even came to fix our TV. That was appreciated. There was a Cracker Barrel and Outback for restaurants and Wal-Mart in the same block.The hotel backs on to a very busy street so it was rather noisy,.Even so,we would probably stay here again. ..

for what we paid was a very good deal, we used as a base for our visiti to the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas; clean and confortable....

Check in was easy. Motel style stay, very near to the I40 exit. Lots of eating options available - Subway, Denny's etc. Surrounded by a lot of other motels. Parking is also fine. The only iffy part was the bed. It is a bit old and not very easy on the back.

We had a good room. The area was quiet and the staff was very helpful and cared how well your stay was. The front desk called a half hour after our check in to see if we needed anything and to make sure our room was comfortable.

Nothing special but for the money it was adequate. Wifi worked well. Close to restaurants and freeway. Felt safe.

Great room for the price. I had to put a rolled up towel at the base of the front door because there was a gap from the floor to the door where cold air blew in. Other than that it was fine. Comfy soft bed, clean bathroom and great shower. I travel this way once a year and stay here each time. Near the hwy and the heart of the city.

can't say much for the breakfast, doughnuts were stale store bought, not fresh

For an overnight stay along I40, the room worked out well. The room rate was good. Check in was a little unprofessional a raised some immediate concerns. However, the room was very clean and comfortable. There was some road noise (I40) and some railroad noise throughout the night but not enough to disturb me. I missed the breakfast so I cannot rate that part of the stay.

In our opinion, hotel does not rate a 3.8/5 rating. Property has plenty of mileage on it. Room was comfortable, but dated. Bathtub had a textured bottom that was either poorly repaired and/or covered with stains. One wanted to wear foot protection while in it. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

This is a very nice hotel in the center of town. The bed was amazing and I love having fresh waffles for breakfast. Next time i am in town, I am staying here again.

The Howard Johnson's room was clean and comfortable, especially for the price. However the included continental breakfast was very disappointing. With over an hour remaining for breakfast, many of the items were gone and the employee on duty was making no effort to replenish them. We were reduced to Corn Flakes and Froot Loops. Also the tables and the food serving area were dirty. The next time we are in Flagstaff we'll try another motel.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the traffic noise was a bit disruptive.

very comfortable

I was doing some weekend traveling at the Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater over a Saturday and Sunday and needed a (cheap) place to stay for one night. This was a great value given the location and cost. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and once I got the heat running the room was comfortable. I recommend this for anyone looking for an inexpensive but clean lodging in the Flagstaff area.

It was great, very comfortable and perfect location to my events!

It was the best we could get for the money we paid for it! Also have a service dog and I had no problems with having him with me;-)

We just needed a one night stopover while we were on a road trip. The Howard Johnson's fit the bill. Price was right, room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast adequate, although not fancy. Given the fact that it was a budget hotel, we weren't expecting anything more.

Bed was very comfortable. The room is cold when first entered, heater works really well. Parking is a limited. Had to park on the other side of the hotel. Walls aren't that thin but we could hear the next rooms dog from time to time. But overall a great experience, would stay again. :)

Cleanliness of room/hotel. great service; good rate.

The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The AC/Heat unit is the older style that is underneath the window. This isn't a problem, but your room may be freezing when you enter at winter time. There is a Denny's right down the street, and Walmart is close by to if you need something. I didn't try the free breakfast, but it was available. I would stay here again.

The hotel was a good value, but a bit dated. The breakfast was good, better than donuts and coffee.

Very nice hotel for the price. Free breakfast was a plus...waffles were great. However, the end of the building near the road was loud. I heard every car that went by.

I like this hotel a lot, because it is very affordable, but still clean. Sometimes the staff is rude and un-friendly, but the room is fine for the price.

Was a nice comfortable room. Price was really good

I was surprised how nice the place was for the price. We stayed at another hotel in August that cost twice as much and was only slightly nicer. In a nice area with a lot of other hotels. Bed was comfy. Carpet and tile are older, but clean. I would stay again.

We always stay in Flagstaff on our way to and from Colorado. The rates are great and the two restaurants at the end of Lucky Lane we always enjoy.

I really like this hotel. Very reasonable pricing and clean room. Nice complimentary breakfast too. This may be my regular choice of hotel everytime I visit Flagstaff. Thanks HoJo!

I really didnt expect much from this hotel...the price was so cheap...I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and extremly spacious!!! We were very tired after 8 hrs of driving from California and the bed was WONDERFULLLL ... Would stay again
