Extended Stay America - Newport News - I-64 - Jefferson Ave - ניופורט ניוז

This is an extended stay hotel which is not geared toward typical hotel guests who are only staying for one or two nights. The desk closes at 11:00 pm, there are no in-room amenities such as shampoo and a hair dryer, the breakfast is only coffee and prepackaged granola bars and muffins, and there is no daily maid service. This hotel has smoking rooms and even though I booked non-smoking they put us in a smoking room and said they had no non-smoking rooms left. The bed was comfortable and the room clean, there was a full kitchen in the room and laundry facilities on-site. However I've stayed at other extended stay places that just felt more like a hotel. People should just know what to expect and not plan to check in really late.

Hotel stay was great room was clean and spacious.

For the price the room was very clean and the staff was very courteous at check in. This is an Extended Stay so some guests seem very comfortable. Overall for the price and the cleanliness of the rooms it was fine accomadations for overnight.

My experience at the hotel was mixed, because it is a very nice hotel, but the non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. I was changed from one room to the next and it was the same situation. Even though I was only there for a night, because I am very sensitive to smells, especially smoke, I had a restless night.

My husband actually needed the room because my elderly parents came to town for a visit and there was simply no room at the house! I visited with him in the room most of the night, and came back the next morning. We were thrilled with the room! Very clean! Enjoyed the little kitchen! Husband said the bed was super-comfortable. The hotel manager, Robin, was very friendly, and makes hotel management look effortless! We will be back for a weekend getaway! Thanks so much!!

This place was very nice. It's normally for an extended stay, however they graciously accommodated us for the one evening as we were only in town for one day for a graduation at Ft Eustis Army Base. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and in good condition. We would have gladly stayed longer if the occasion was extended. The room included an HDTV, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeepot, sink and dishes, although, we enjoyed the nearby Crackerbarrel and 5 Guys Burgers & Fries for our meals. Hotels.com gave us a price that was well below anything else we could find.

Note, front office closes at 11:00pm. This could be inconvenient for some. Laundry facilities are adequate, assuming you have quarters handy, or do laundry before front office closes.

Bed cover and rug were soiled. One stove burner was obviously broken off. Lighting was poor. Horrid selection of TV channels. This is a place in need of a serious makeover.

Very clean with a friendly staff. Safe location and reasonably priced

The staff was clueless and the rooms though adequate were not comfortable. Pretty much my interaction with the staff left me with a bad taste and affected the rest of my stay.
