Nice accomadations, easy off/on freeway yet far enough away so you can't hear it!

We recently stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it. Rather than staying in San Fran again, we decided to try something different. It was about 10mins north of the Golden Gate Bridge and 45mins south of Napa/Sonoma. We found it easy to get into SF and back from Napa. If you are planning on renting a car, consider staying here. We preferred the drive to $40/day parking fees at hotels downtown! The staff recommended several area restaurants that we perfect for our trip. We will stay here again. Free breakfast daily; beautiful scenery, great for walking or biking (complimentary rentals!).

The room was large and very clean. The light breakfast was convenient and basic.

The hotel was reasonably priced for the area. The grounds outside the hotel are very nice. They have a heated outdoor pool that is fenced for safety and privacy. There are nice lawn areas you can utilize. They have a fire pit are offer smores in the evenings. The room was nice and clean. It had everything we needed. The restaurant that is next to the hotel was fantastic although pricey. Overall we really enjoyed our stay

perfect for families or a nice, easy stay. totally updated and modernized Holiday Inn. Pool is redone with cabanas!!! Highly recommend.

we love this hotel, 2nd time we go there - pretty and spacious rooms, great location (close to the City and the Marin nature), very nice pool and outstanding italian restaurant. Last trip was perfect, this 2nd trip we had an issue with moldy shower curtain - upon raising the issue, they fixed it in no time, and we were back to the perfect stay we came to expect.

Great location as a jumping off point. SF is a few minutes over the Golden Gate bridge. Muir woods is 10 min. drive. Downtown Mill Valley is a few minutes. Although there is a great walking path that always has people or bike on it, you'll have to hop in the car or bike to get anywhere rather than walk. Aside from that we would definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed our one-night stay. The beds are some of the more comfortable ones I've slept on in a hotel. We loved the little patio and the nice, big TV, as well as the heated salt-water pool. Our only small complaints were a little construction noise, the garbage truck being noisy in the morning, and a little trash under the beds. We would stay there again.

Despite its location at the junction of two busy roads, the hotel was fairly quiet, especially in the rear. It backs on a wetland with a nice walking/biking trail, lots of birds. The room was spotless, very up to date and comfortable. Free breakfast was excellent...extensive choices, fresh fruit, omelets, pancakes, pretty good coffee, nice eating area. We picked this place for its convenient location but came away impressed.

the morning after we checked in, contractors began demolishing the wall in the hallway next to our room. construction continued until 4 pm inspite of our complaints that morning. manager indicated that he failed to inform his staff of the construction. AC temp control knob was missing...there was no heat...so we froze that night. Next day engineer walked into our room with the "do not disturb" sign on the door...while we were dressing. Engineer could not replace AC control. Upon checkout, front desk was not manned. Waited 15 minutes... still no one at the front desk. we left the hotel without checking out so as not to miss our flight.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast had some healthy options, which is not always the case at places like this, which I really appreciate: fruit, unsweetened yogurt, soy milk. Right on the bay walking trail, which was great. No shops right within walking distance (and we didn't have a car) so that was challenging. I'd go back.

The hotel is located close to Muir Woods, the Golden Gate Bridge & the Bay Area Discovery Museum, so an ideal place for families with kids to enjoy the attractions of the area. Breakfast was plentiful & nice. We had a good time & will be back.

Nice hotel, staff didn't have nice things to say about Hotels.com. Good stopover while on the way from Sonoma to San Francisco. Especially convenient if you are heading to Muir Woods (highly recommended).

Not the most romantic location but clean and well appointed. We used the screened in patio downstairs for an afternoon picnic. Centrally located for checking out all Marin County has to offer. Would go back.

Becuase of the experience I had with Joanne while checking in, I will never stay at another place when I am in the area! Fantastic Service!

This hotel was located close to Hwy 101 our room had a great view of the bay. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Stayed here before but this night was sadly different! Room was filthy; no face clothes; on the first floor (Rm 122) and could hear and feel the people above walking about; room smelled funny; breakfast was good!

the Staff was super nice and friendly...the hotel is in need of maintenance. the hallway to our room was old and grungy. The room was ok comfortable bed and clean. Bathroom really small not enough light . good location near Muir woods and beach.

Nestled coveniently between downtown Sausalito and Mill Valley, the hotel provides an excellent base to explore these two quaint cities. It is clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Love this hotel. Easy on and off freeway. Nice environment and pretty spot.

I love this hotel. Have stayed here in the past and will stay in the future. The staff is always so wonderful. Breakfast was yummy and the surroundings just beautiful.

There was no elevators to the rooms! Also, there is no microwave in the room. The room is very big and the bed is comfortable. It has a nice view.

Nice hotel, great location. Breakfast was a pleasant suprise; continental breakfast with eggs and bacon. Name change to Hoiliday Inn Express and lack of phone number on reservation paperwork was a challenge.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. The best part was the complimentary s'mores by the fire pit!

Hall ways are dark and unattractive; no hot water for morning bath

Nice hotel with modern conveniences.

Location is very convenient to the highway and there is a beautiful open space next to the hotel. The outside patio with fire pit was most enjoyable. We would definately stay here again.

I stayed here with 2 friends while on a short visit to Muir Woods. The fellow who checked us in at the desk was very friendly and efficient. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and up-to-date -- the hotel is undergoing a renovation and our rooms were clearly in the "After" phase. We enjoyed complimentary s'mores out on the patio after dinner at a local Greek diner and had a good breakfast in the hotel dining room the next morning. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Service was welcoming, and breakfast was a welcome addition. It was exactly the place I needed and I slept very well.

I really loved the pool area and hot tub of this hotel. The rooms where a little out of date, but comfortable. Work out room OK. Staff very helpful.

All good except the bathrooms are old but not unacceptable. Also, carpets need replacing in rooms. Beds very comfortable, breakfast buffet very nice, fire place is good site for warming on cool evenings.

Friendly service and convenient when visiting relatives in Marin. Good pool and spa and close to all south Marin sights and shopping.
