The hotel was very nice. Clean and pleasant people. I will stay here when I'm in the area.

This hotel is in a nice area, close to a couple restaurants and near shopping. The only two things I would say we're not great are: it's loud when someone else slams a door (it shakes the whole room and will wake you up) and the workout equipment could use an update. Other than that it was a good stay.

This hotel was conveniently located right off I-475 in Grand Blanc, with an Appelbee's in walking distance. All staff members encountered were friendly and helpful. They even have a little manager reception in the lobby on certain days. Our room was as expected and clean and comfortable. Loved the indoor pool! The breakfast was good and actually had real plates and flatware for those eating in the dining room and plastic for those going to their room. My husband had no problems with the internet connection for his business purposes. We would stay here again, next time in the area.........40th H.S. reunion?

I was very happy the staff was great to work with very efficient and friendy. I always love your waffles. Breakfast was great and when they open at 5 it was wonderful as didn't have to eat at the airport.

Attentive and courteous service, spacious, clean and quiet environment, comfortable bed and pillows and over the top complimentary breakfast served in the morning and hors d'oeuvres in the evening!

Great Hotel and even better great staff. Nothing was too much trouble . Very CLean and great Breakfast and evening Nibbles too. If in Flint you must stay here.

We have stayed at this Wingate several times while visiting family in the area. The rooms are consistently clean and stocked. the breakfast is typical with hot items in addition to pastries and cereal. The staff has been friendly and helpful. There is a small gym and indoor pool. No complaints at all.

I went to visit my sister who lives within 10 min of the hotel so the distance and location was great with the Applebees right across. The staff was very friendly however i felt the bed was not very comfortable at all and the furniture you could tell was a bit old and used as a chair had a stain. The bathroom was clean except for a little rust on the bathtub drain and what looked to be be a bit of water damage on the floor nead the bathroom door. The tv remote worked, but was not able to turn off the tv for some reason. Overall the stay served its purpose as a place for us to sleep. Not sure if it would choose it right away again.

I was not able to go on the internet. Several people from the desk were trying to help, but told me my lab top is not working any more and should go for repair service. When I came home after a 3 day stay, my computer was working fine with no problem at all. This was very disappointing for me. It never happened to me at any other hotel.

Being from the area , I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice Hotel that I would recommend to friends and family . I was the right price , quiet , well kept. The pool and whirlpool were clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was awesome , with hot eggs ,waffles, french toast and sausage gravy. Truly a delightful stay!!!!

great value for the money but i had 3 rooms and they all smelled like smoke

The hotel is very well run and maintained. Facilities are nice and the gym, pool, wine and cheese hour and breakfast were all above expectation. Mattress not as comfortable as I would have liked. Surrounding area doesn't offer much but this was not a problem for us because this was an overnight stop while driving somewhere else.

Air conditioner was noisy!

Below is an email that I sent to my staff back at MPHI. That is a phenomenal thing for me to ever say. But it's true. I had to a church event in Flint and in my worried search for a place to spend the night in Flint, I decided to check the outskirts of the town. Well I am thrilled to have discovered the Wingate by Wyndham in Grand Blanc. It's overall score was consistently 4/5. It was affordable, clean, great pool and decent exercise area, breakfast was fresh and believable. Beds were great, nice size room, etc Fruits were fresh, coffee was excellent But the thing I loved most were the evening refreshments. Fresh buffet of cut vegetables and dressing choice and even a hot dish. Small minor things were the air conditioning was a little loud. But I like white noise anyway when I sleep. If you have a 30 person training. It could fit in their meeting space. But otherwise there are some other choices for meetings in this city too. So as you plan for next year's training and need to go to Flint area consider Grand Blanc. It's just 5- 10 minutes from Flint and is a great alternative for your overnight stay.

Everything was fine, could have been cleaner. The thing that really bothered me most was the pool area. The tiles on the sides (inside) of the pool were really dirty/scummy! The whole pool area needed a pressure washing! The day we were leaving we noticed a "yellow" spot on the white duvet cover. It had just been flipped over instead of changed!! The people who worked there were very nice and the restaraunt had very good food. My kids loved that they had Bath and Body works shampoo, conditioner and lotion! The bed was actually pretty comfortable.

We booked the king jacuzzi suite thinking it was the largest room available. However the photo was apparently incorrect and was of the deluxe suite. You can imagine my anger and disappointment. The staff accommodated us with an upgrade and was very pleasant throughout the stay. A wonderful breakfast is served every morning and fruit/veggies and snacks in the afternoon. The room however was very outdated with an old microwave with a dial (not digital), the dining set was very old and stained, likely old lobby furniture. Linens were very clean, as was the bathroom. Overall our stay was ok.

It was a wonderful hotel. Good breakfast. Very nice pool. Tiny, tiny pillows.

Great value! Pool was warm. Jacuzzi was relaxing. Workout equipment needs updating. Room was very nice for the price I paid. It didn't seem much different from higher end hotels I've stayed in.

What a great hotel. Room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful, woud definatel stay here again.

Great place to stay, just needed a smoking room.

I recently had to stay over in Flint for business, and found the Wingate to be a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and even the breakfast in the morning was nice...not your typical "microwaved" spread that some of these hotel pass off as breakfast. The location is not to far from the airport, very close to the highways, and away from the "mess" that Flint is famous for...in other words, it's clean, convenient, safe and secure. I would certainly stay there again.

I was not prepared to receive such a high quality service. It's a rare quality in this time. All of the staff were smiling and helpful. Quality of the products they used in the room is very good.

My family & I had a wonderful experience with this hotel. Everything was clean & everyone was pleasant. The food from the breakfast bar was fresh & hot.

We have visited/stayed at this location before and I was reading the previous reviews and was curious about all of the "small" pillow(s) comments...for we ALWAYS travel with our own pillows and rarely use others - so the very 1st thing upon checking in was running to the room to see the pillows...lol you're correct, they are/were very small. But our stay was AMAZING the staff went out of their way to help us with movie times and restaurant locations/directions...We LOVE the Managers afternoon buffet - it's a nice touch and very much (trust me) appreciated by all...and super tasty as well!!!! We enjoyed our stay and look forward to the summer for our next visit…Keep up the good work Grand Blanc!!!

We stayed 2 nights, the second being New Years Eve. The second night was busy but staff kept up well with customer needs. Our reservation said "no breakfast" but actually there was a great hot and cold breakfast buffet and even with the New Years crowd the staff kept breakfast items topped up well. We had a problem with a noisy heater which was fixed as soon as we reported it. Our room was clean and comfortable with nice bathroom supplies. We will return.

Nice hotel, food was good...Only downfall was that the pool was cold.

I write this review because I count on reviews when I travel. This hotel gives you what you need. The rates are comparable and affordable for a family. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was so diverse that even my children could not make up their mind! If you have children, the pool is warm so when you have to be in the water with them, you do not freeze. The hot tub was a little too warm, not complaining, but it could stand to be a little cooler. The dryer was broken in the laundry room while we were there, however to compensate for it, housekeeping dried and folded my laundry and then delivered it to my room! Once again..above and beyond! This is my families choice to stay when we come back home to visit our families. When we come into town I always check for availability here first before anywhere else. Enjoy your stay!

I will likely stay there again, but... ants in the bathroom tv turned off and would not turn back on what's up with the tiny pillows?

Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Feels like a higher rated hotel than it is. Wife loved the breakfast buffet. Only complaint was that there are no curtains to darken the room at night for sleeping. But that may be a moot point for some. Even with a Saturday night stay, the hotel was quiet. Wish we weren't so exhausted from our drive. Would have been nice to use the pool and hot tub. A bit of a drive to Birch Run and Frankenmuth, but I don't think you'll find better amenities at this price.

Our stay was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. We will stay there again.

My wife and I were in the area for a fundraiser and chose this hotel based on reviews on hotels.com. The area itself is nothing spectacular and the hotel fits the area. While not fancy by any means, it was clean and well kept, the staff was very friendly and the room was fine for our needs. Our only real complaint was the size of the pillows. They are extremely small and neither of us found them to be very comfortable. Besides that, nothing to complain about and I would certainly stay there again if we are ever in the area.

Good place to stay if you're in the Flint area. 10 minutes from downtown. Quiet, pretty comfortable room. If I were in the area again, I would stay here again.
