This was a nice place to stay. Clean and comfortable. It was very near I-205, bit the rooms were well insulated and the noise was not a problem. Nice amenities. And there was a nice little park on the river nearby

We really enjoyed our short stay. We were in town for a big birthday party at the High Rocks right next door - perfect location to be able to walk home. It's literally across the parking lot! We also enjoyed the fact that there's two free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks (soup, veggies, cheese, hummus, pitas) available at night for each person, plus free breakfast. If for some reason I was in this area again, I'd likely stay here. My only negative review is that it's a big weird that it shares a parking lot with Safeway. And they charge you $15 to ship you anything we forgot (I thought I left my phone charger so inquired about this).

could not have asked for anything better. was so surprised with the quality and quanity of food served both evening and mornings. plus drinks! what a plus.the lady working behind the morning buffet was exceptional in all ways..what a pleasant,helpful person as well with all the other staff members. the room was what one would expect for a quality hotel. Thanks, we'll be back

We love the Oxford suites and stay whenever we come down to visit family in the area. My grand kids love the pool. The breakfasts are great.

Large, clean, contemporary rooms. Evening reception was a nice touch. Breakfast with made to order eggs was also a step above the standard and and often boring continental breakfasts. Parking slots were pretty tight and seemed limited. Parking tag you had to hang from your rearview mirror made it very clear the property was not responsible for any thefts/breakins...which made me concerned that may have been an issue. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Very enjoyable. Great location and nice and quiet hotel. Great pool, hot tub and breakfast in the morning. We are repeat customers.

We had stayed here before and loved the hotel. We had high expectations for our second stay. It was nothing like our first visit. Check in time was 3 o'clock. When we got there our room was not ready. They said they would call when it was. By 6pm, still no call but I went back in to say we couldn't wait any longer. Our room was actually ready by that time, but no one called us to let us know. Once in our room, one of the TV's was broken. We called to get it fixed, but no one showed up. Our room was right next to the work out room and when people ran on the treadmill it shook the whole bed and was very loud. Plus our room was furnished with two towels for four people. Annoying. I was pretty fed up with the place and don't plan on returning.

It was great! In fact, I'm going to book another stay in two weeks!

Hotel was nice, breakfast was exceptional. However, we were incredibly disappointed that the pool closed the day of our arrival for resurfacing. We booked this hotel specifically so that our 5 year old could swim. Would have been nice to have been informed ahead of time that the facilities were closed.

I just spent 2 nights here (Dec. 25th-27th). I picked it based on the reviews and the proximity to my family. All my interactions with the staff were friendly. I did not have any problems. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. However, I recommend going earlier than later. There seemed to be a rush in the last half hour and a bit of a wait. But I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I stay in a lot of hotels (60+ nights a year.) This was really nice. Room was clean and had a nice view of the river (and the highway). Only bad thing was the road noise when you open window but it was quiet as could be in the room. I liked the drinks and appetizers at the Mangers Reception and the breakfast was amazing. 1 minute walk to Safeway for groceries or nessecities. Plus gas and food 2 minutes away. There was a fun bar/rest about 400 yard walk. It was fun with music.

I go to dr apts and can use this hotel as my respite.

beds were too hard and pillow were terrible and I mean terrible

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room, the layout and the hot morning breakfast. It was very nice with an affordable rate.

Very hard bed, but quiet. Did not sleep well because of the bed. The breakfast was very good, and the people were nice.

Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet...what more can you ask for!

We enjoyed the Oxford Suites in Gladstone. The staff was courteous and our room was neat and clean. Its just too bad you can't sit on your balcony due to the traffic noise on the freeway.

Grew up blocks away from this hotel and always stay here when we are in town. Great value for the money with free prepared-to-order breakfast and evening reception. Rooms are well appointed and easy for my husband, who is disabled, to navigate. Staff is helpful and friendly. Safeway is across the parking lot; very convenient.

This was a last minute trip to a family gathering and the convenient location was why I choose Oxford Suites. The nice surprises started with the friendly greeting from the front desk, the comfortable bed and the clean quiet room. Then there was the wonderful evening reception and hot breakfast, both exceeding my expectations. The breakfast was a real breakfast, hot, freshly cooked eggs, ham and potatoes with all the trimmings. The service ladies even came around to each table to make sure we had everything we needed. Great service. I'll return next time I come to that area.

Front desk so friendly and helpful. The social hours were nice for the family to all come together and visit before and after the wedding. The freeway access perfectly easy to attend the wedding and get back. The shuttle service was very nice benefit.

We enjoyed another wonderful stay at Oxford Suites in Gladstone, Oregon. It's close to Portland, and also close to Pickathon, an annual three-day music festival in nearby Happy Valley. The first room we had was noisy from the freeway. When we asked to be moved, the staff bent over backwards to get us a quieter room. They were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our second room was perfect. The bed was very comfortable, and the room set up was perfect. The room was clean, and had a wonderful view of the river. The free breakfast is really good, and includes eggs made to order. We always enjoy our stay there and look forward to being there again next year.

Finally a spacious and sweet smelling room that lived up to its hype. Night Front Desk man was very professional. Nice quiet sleep. All a traveller. Old wish for!

For service I give this hotel 5 stars. Beyond that~it is just mediocre. The room we stayed in was straight out of 1989~I remember my mom having the same basic color scheme, headboard AND lighting. The executive suite is laid out very strangely with the door opening to the bedroom side, and pocket doors leading into the main living area. The A/C unit was located in the main living area, and struggles to cool the bedroom area~ once the pocket doors are closed, it does NOTHING. We wound up having to keep the doors open. What was the point of a suite again? Not that it mattered that our kids were sharing the same room with us. Nobody was really sleeping. The mattresses on both the sleeper sofa and bed were awful. The mattress on the bed was so firm that our hips and back hurt through the night. The sleeper sofa was so lumpy that my 12 y.o. came into bed with us. And the pillows were WAY to lofty and firm~ neck cricks for the family! Other than the room, the hotel was pleasant and comfortable. Lobby was nice, pool area was clean (although the top row of tiling was broken, so it left kid of a freaky gap at the top of the pool our 5 y.o. was afraid had sharks in it~pretty funny actually) the free breakfast was alright, inclucing made to order omlettes. The location is decent~on the river, but also on the highway. Not the nicest neighborhood, but definitely not scummy. I would say overall a 50/50 hotel.

We needed a place for my elderly parents, the 2 of us and our dogs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Offered a room to fit our particular needs and it was perfect. Daily housekeeping kept the room fresh and neat. View of Clackamas River, which is right out the back balcony is gorgeous. Although there's hwy noise nearby, if the windows are closed the room is quiet. Air conditioning and the smoke free environment kept it nice. Didn't smell any cleaning product odors. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Forgot to let them know the ironing board was broken and the bathroom fan not working. We liked having WiFi. Breakfast in their cafeteria offered a wide selection, eggs, potatoes, bacon, fruit, cereal...etc. All included in room price! Can highly recommend. .The sign outside says "the only thing we overlook is the river", and that says it.

Very nice hotel except for the brazen "in-your-face" vagrants constantly checking your car out and meeting you asking for a handout as you get out of your car. The parking lot of the Gladstone Oxford Hotel is apparently a "honey hole" for panhandlers and thieves alike. Excellent laundry facility, except they WILL NOT make change so that you can use the machines. Don't try the Safeway next door...apparently there's a standing beef between the store and hotel regarding changing dollars for quarters. Clean rooms, good rates, great breakfast and "mixer" for the guests...free soup, salad and one alcoholic beverage. Would love to stay there again except for the security.

The room was good. Very clean and spacious. (pull out sofa, not worth pulling out. more comfortable as a couch). Service was excellent. The one large dissapointment was the the pool was not open later. We had plans that kept us busy till a little after 10pm. Would like the pool to have been open till midnight to allow for swim or hot tub soak after our plans. View was nice, breakfast was good and free. (liked that).

We were down in Gladstone, OR (from Surrey, BC) for the weekend while our dog was in a photo shoot for a magazine - the hotel was located close to all locations. The river was beautiful - wanted very much to go swimming! Overall experience was great, will definitely come back again. Rooms were clean, nice view, and the lady at reception was SO friendly!

This hotel was exemplary, I would highly recommend a stay there.

I will stay again. I go to the Portland every 2-3 months and have stayed at different places. I think i have found the best. Rooms were big and comfortable. Great breakfast. Inside pool. PETS OK, enough pillows on the bed. The bad news is, in the back where we walked the dog there were questionable people staying down in the bank.

This is a terrific choice if you want to have close access to the freeway and things to do. The staff are very helpful and friendly, too. The breakfast was made to order and included in our stay. We loved the comfortable beds!
