Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Downtown - פילדלפיה

The room was great. The hotel was very clean. The staff was couteous, except for customer service who could not find my reservation, then they said I booked under a group, then they said my breakfast was not included, which I had a print out for everything. Then they found everything. Checking out I had the same problem. They wanted me to pay for breakfast because once again it was not a part of the deal I found on hotels.com. Then the found it. Therefore I was annoyed that they made the same mistake twice. Which I had proof that I had found this "great deal", which was such a headache.

The Hotel was great, but the only place to get coffee was from the Starbucks in the hotel, and they don't take their own gift cards! The breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about either. The room and the staff were great. Just sleep in.

They kept our privacy all weekend and didn't come in our room and disturb our things. (Some hotels don't respect the do not disturb sign). Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great location for downtown by a mall for convenience. And right at the convension center for any event going on. Safe area of town, too!

This hotel needs remodeling and improved housekeeping services. Furniture, carpeting and finishes are below-standard for a Courtyard Marrriott property. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is very central; and you can walk from the hotel to almost any location in downtown Philadelphia.

The hotel was excellent. I can't believe that we were able to book such a wonderful hotel for such a great price! The Liberty Bell, US Mint and the Betsey Ross house were about 6 blocks away. We were able to leave our car at the Hotel and walk to every pace we wanted to go. Even though we are Boston RedSox fans, my husband and I enjoy going to different ball parks on our trips. We were able to take the local subway to see the Phillies game. The hotel staff was great even the Valet parking attendants were very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.

No In-house movies available for purchase, no DVD player, no in room safe, bed was a little "tired" with noticeable "sagging" areas. Thought these types of things would be included at such a high nightly rate. Also a package arrived 24 hours before they said they had it after asking 5-6 different times.

Room was very nice, big, and clean. Bathroom was basic, but the room was much better than average. High ceiling, desk with plenty of hookups for a laptop, mini fridge, etc. Great view of City Hall and the Parkway. Room was very clean, staff very friendly.

Stayed the weekend during the Penn Relays! Perfect location -- close to subway and Market, Chestnut, and Walnut bus lines and all those streets have to offer! One block to Reading Terminal Market -- ate 4 meals there -- delicious, reasonably priced, and great variety. All hotel staff were welcoming.(On site restaurant good but pricey.) Double bed room was plenty of space for two adults and 5-year-old. Looking out the window at the traffic on Market Street (not too loud) and swimming in the pool were highlights for our child. Would definitely stay again. Suggestion: Would like more books and games in their "library".

Staff very friendly and always available. Had a corner room that was very quiet. Convenient to mass transit.

The hotel is in a good location - we walked to historical center as well as the Ben. Franklin Institute. Our room was a little small, especially since we needed a roll-away bed that barely (I mean barely) fit in the room - and they charge for the extra bed! The breakfast was good - service people there were excellent. The pool was closed for maintenance both days - a big disappointment when you have 3 boys. The elevators are VERY slow - we waited more than twenty-five minutes for the elevator and finally walked down 7 flights to the lobby. I think you can find a better value for your money than this hotel.

I accidently booked a one king ben room instead of two double beds. When I realized the mistake and called the hotel the lady who answered the phone was very nice and changed my booking in a min (which was for that night). There was no hassles and I think it actually lowered my room rate a little bit. Upon arriving the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. They kept the line moving while not making you feel rushed. The hotel room was excellent and the location of the hotel is great. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the experience

The hotel is very nice, great location, very comfortable. IT was a bit pricey, but overall, worth it. The valet parking was a bit slow, but still, over all very good hotel.

Location next to City Hall, and one block from the Reading Marketplace (which has excellent local eating places, butchers, fishmongers, etc.) could not have been better. It is a good walk to the "Museum Row" highlighted by the new Barnes Museum which has a collection of Renoirs and Cezannes that is truly overload. Hotel valet parking is convenient, but almost twice the cost of parking garage 1/2 block away.

When we checked in, we learned that the room that we reserved based on the on-line description was not what we intended. Therefore, we had no other option but to stay in a more costly Executive suite because that is all that was available. The sofa bed on which my young teenage daughter slept was not well kept as evidenced by the food remnants and dust. Although we were warned to call for our car from valet parking 1/2 hour in advance, the wait seemed to exceed the suggested time. However, the front desk was very pleasant, insightful and not hurried in their demeanor when working with us. Also, the hotel provided our lodging needs.

The hotel is in a very nice historical building located right next to city hall. The location is perfect and convenient. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and well maintained. The only problem was the condition of the pool and jacuzzi area, which was uncomfortably dirty. Due to the fact that everybody enters the pool without taking a shower before, the water is dirty and gross. The attempt to solve that problem by only adding a ridiculous amount of chlorine doesn't really help. The quality of the service personal was divert. Some service people were very friendly and helpful, some unfriendly but still willing to help. I would come to the hotel again if I get a good bargain deal, but won't expect anything from the pool area.

Although the hotel was great, I will never stay there again. The total cost of parking for one night was $50 - $40 parking and $8 "delivery".

I was amazed by this hotel... it was a very old building with all the new amenities. The strawberries in the water dispensers showed they invited you in. all in all I would stay here for any philly event. right across the street from city hall close to the subway and many Philly bars.

THE RECEPTION STAFF COULD DO WITH SOME TRAINING. THEY WERE EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY. THE BAR STAFF AND WAIT STAFF IN THE BAR AREA NEED TO PICK UP THE PACE A BIT. WE WAITED ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER ORDERING TO GET OUT DRIVNKS. I ORDERED WINE. THE FIRST ONE ARRIVED IN A DIRTY GLASS. THE SECOND GLASS ARRIVED WITH SOMETHING FLOATING IN IT. BREAKFAST STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROVIDED SPEEDY SERVICE. OVERALL HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED.

Had a great stay and a great visit to Philly. The hotel was nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were in walking distance to most historic sites in town and with less than two miles of walking saw some great history. Parking at the hotel was expensive and they would not park my "oversized vehicle" but there was a cheaper pay lot less than 100 yards away. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family without a doubt.

Really a nice hotel experience with only one big negative. Although the discounted hotel rates were affordable the hotel taxes were rediculously high. They tax everthing.. and there are taxes on taxes . Basically the extra costs triple the price of the original room rates. I would stay here again but I would never consider an expensive room in this city.

We were pleasantly pleased by the quality of the hotel. The room was large and clean, and the bathroom seemed brand new. Don't look for a view out the window, however. The front desk service was efficient, elevators timely, and lobby large and welcoming. It's an easy walk to the subway/PATCO etc.. In bad weather, you can walk underground down the Avenue of the Arts to theaters. Our only negative was finding the scrambled eggs at breakfast to be cold and "oily". Everything else including coffee, pastries, etc. was good. We would come again.

The hotel location is close to the Reading Terminal Market and Convention Center. The quality of service and cleanliness of the hotel is consistent for the brand. We have never been disappointed.

Perfect location to most museums (walking distance), 1blk from The Reading Market & mall, could not have been in better location.

Overall, this was a fantastic hotel! I highly recommend it!

Rooms not made up in timely manner; Wireless connections are provided by third party and difficult to use ! ... have to renew daily and usually requires staff to come to the room to do it ... Not at all user friendly !

The maids and bar staff were awsome

Very close to the convention center and has a great restaurant and lounge inside. Loved the King suite, perfect for a family of four.

Make sure you ask for or upgrade to a room facing City Hall. Quite spectacular!

The hotel is beautiful and staff were great. I was not satisfied with the bed (too hard), the lack of toilteries (shower cap, etc). Also, the cost for valet parking was too expensive. $48.00 for valet parking? I parked the car myself for $25.00. The location was excellent to our venue..
