it was a place to crash. but other than that we (my family) did not like the motel at all. Musty smell,outdated rugs, staff unpleasant, breakfast awful. The only I would suggest to eat off the free breakfast would be the bagels,crossiants,toasts,english muffins. The eggs were like rubber(folded ones) scrambled eggs waterey. Pancakes very thin. Door to the bathroom opens to the shower/tub. to get a shower you would have shut the bath door. I would not recommend this place to my family/friends. or to my worst enemy.

Best in Frackville!

It was great except that the corner lamp could not be pluged in due to lack of an outlet. so it was tough reading. good breakfast

Was in town for the Yuengling Lager Jogger, the hotel was just a short drive away. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and quite. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient to Mall next store and Cracker Barrel is right there too.

I've stayed here several times on my way north - each time it was just what the doctor ordered. Clean, friendly, comfortable, reliably good. It's right off the highway but still a little hard to find (make one of the first turns off the curvy road towards the Cracker Barrel - do not go by your GPS instructions).

THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE, AND THE COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD

Vrey nice hotel very clean overall nice stay, but a little far from Knoebels amusement park 30.5 miles, but still a very nice Hotel

Holiday Inn Express & Suites are usually clean and pleasant, just like the one at Frackville. However, several amenities simply stood out as acceptional. Cracker Barrel was in the same parking lot which made dinner so easy. The staff was outstanding. The lady taking care of breakfast even wrapped the fruit in cellophane to make an easy snack later...how thoughtful! In addition, in the lobby someone has put together a scrapbook of local attractions and history...how thoughtful again. AND FINALLY, at the door, they set out two baskets: one for clean towels and one for wet towels so that motorcyclists could dry off after an afternoon of showers...so very thoughtful.

Room was nice and clean. Everything was working appropriately. Was easy to get on and off the highway

It was pleasant, and very clean. The bedding is soft and comfortable. Nice breakfast in the morning, and Crackerbarrel restaurant/store in same parking lot. Will go there again.

Pleased, not very hand to convenience stores, gas etc

We have stated at this facility before and always find it very comfortable and the people are very plealsant.,

I thought this hotel was very nice; modern inside with all the amentities and also very clean. I did find the price a little high for the area it was in; basically a very depressed region. The big plus that I liked was the Cracker Barrel restaurant right next door. The complimentary breakfast and snacks at 5 in the hotel were very good. Overall, I give it a very high rating!

It was a nice clean room for us to stay when we were in town for a friend's wedding. Friendly front desk personnel. Did not stay for breakfast.

Our hotel experience was great. The room was big - two queen-size beds - plus we fit a crib in there, which we received as soon as we asked for it. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked and had about everything you would ever want for breakfast. Parking was great, the exercise room was very nice, but the spa was being redone to meet new ADA requirements. They even have a meeting room, which we might check out the next time we are there. The WIFI worked without any problems. The staff was professional and friendly. The maid service was great, too. The location is extremely safe and there's even a Cracker Barrel restaurant right across from the hotel, plus there's a McDonald's and a mall nearby. Overall, it's a little pricey for the area, but it's a solid hotel and we will definitely stay there again. We had a great experience during the two nights we stayed there.

i was approached as if i were a person trying to get a free room, when i was trying to ask for manager so i may ask for a extended stay price, they told me manager wont negociate with you or any one for that matter, wasnt to happy with the front desk, and as for leaving my number so the manager can call me when she gets back in town or so i was told that never happened, so if i were to rate on managers lack of leadership , i would say very bad you always should try to my your guest feel at home

We stayed at this hotel while hurricane Irene was hitting the NYC area. It was a great place to stay; its elevation was high so it met our needs of avoiding flooding! There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant in the parking lot of the hotel so we could walk to meals. The only problem was intermittent internet, but that was likely due to the hurricane.

Nothing exceptional about this place. The elevator could not be used which was a hassle and the clothes dryer was very slow. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there is a decent restaurant in the parking lot.

I booked the handicapped accessible room for my aging parents as my Dad is blind. It was a great bathroom with lots of room and a seat in the shower with appropriate shower head. Very helpful! Breakfast was very adequate and staff were helpful. We will stay here again.

The hotel was very clean inside and out. the frount desk was cheerful,greet is very well. the breakfast in the morning was great. i would difflenty stay there again.

The HIE Hotel in Frackville is at the intersection of I-81 and PA-61, just north of Pottsville. There's a small Mall and a Craker Barrel adjacent to the property. The hotel is clean, well-maintained and the breakfast was substantial (eggs, pancakes, sausage, yogurt, bagels, etc.). The staff is friendly and efficient. Restaurants in the surrounding towns are sparce. If you want to do something unique, take the mine tour in Ashland, just off PA-61.

This hotel was very convenient for anyone travelling from Hershey northward. Clean, friendly and quiet.

VERY PLEASANT 2 DAY STAY. ROOM BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD AND NOT REPETITIVE. BUT WALLPAPER PEALING OFF AND CRACKS IN CORNERS, BUT OTHER WISE VERY CLEAN AND QUIET.

It was just for a night so it wasn't that bad, however I expected something else... the only thing they have upgrade is their "Holiday Inn" Sign, the TV's & the linens.. otherwise everything else is OLD!!! it smelled old & looked old... the toilets had rust in the bowls from the water it grossed my husband & I out.. but again it served its purpose which was just an overnight stay.. I would definitely not stay again..

Quiet Neighborhood, Mall Shopping, Contents of room, Hair Dryer, Ironing Board and Iron, Coffee in Room, Microwave, Refrigerator, Nice Room a place to get a restfull sleep. Only negative, you can hear from the room above when they get up in the morning. Best Plus of all, a fantastic breakfast to start your day.
