Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa - מורגנטאון

It needs to be updated. Could hear everything being said from surrounding rooms. The TV was old as was the furniture. Rooms were small. There should be breakfast included in price of room. The competition of surrounding area hotels offer breakfast. Most are priced the same such as Hampton Inn which does a very nice breakfast. Stayed because of event @ resort but should have stayed in Morgantown.

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Since we arrived around 6:30 it would have been great if we could have gotten something to eat. Being away from any stores they should have some type of food available.

The hotel was undergoing some renovations but it had no affect on our stay. The location was great, amazing fitness center and close to Morgantown.

I think it was worth the money but we had a few issues. The first room we were in was fine except for a lack of convenient electrically outlets but our neighbors were disruptive. We had a bunch of teenagers running up and down the halls screaming throughout the night. Next night we were moved to a newly renovated room but still outlets were an issue and the curtains were not designed to close all the way despite the fact that the room faced the front. I had to use a binder clip to keep the curtains closed. Even with these problems, we will go back. It was nice enough for the price and the location was good. I'll look around though and will consider other options for our next trip.

The hotel was away from the hustle and bustle of Morgantown, but close enough to get there within minutes. Resort was nice with the amenities included of pool, fitness, suana and gold, however due to the short visit and activities we had going on unable to use them. Rooms seems a liittle dated and it would have been nice to have a fridge & microwave in room, even thou not stated there was. Cheapr hotel we stayed in previous night at least included those. Room was comfortable, but the housekeeping was lacking. Very little toilet paper on roll and no addition roll left. Housekeeping took away used towels on first day and did not replace them or coffee supplies. Found that the be annoying for such a nice place.

Nice surrounding area, very quiet. The room was a little dated but worth the money. I didn't see much of the property as I arrived late and left very early. The front desk person was very courteous.

This was my first stay at Lakeview and I wasn't impressed. Standard-sized room with ordinary industry level furnishings comparable to any motel chain property. We had to crank the 70s-era wall heater to 80 before it would produce warm air, and apparently it hadn't been used for a while as we got the trademark "hot dust" odor for the first few minutes. I'll only be back if it's the only available option.

I was a little nervous booking this room after reading the reviews and they were right, I should have stayed away!! After we checked in I went to take a shower and there wasn't a single towel (clean or dirty) in my room. I asked housekeeping for one and they said they didn't have any to give me. I then called the front desk and they told me they had a full house the previous night and the towels hadn't been washed yet, keep in mind this was approximately 6 pm. The only positive thing I can say is that the location was beautiful and it was close to some sight seeing attractions.

The hotel is on a golf course; and it's really beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. I took walks everyday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views are just gorgeous. The rooms are another story. It has blue or green carpet. The tv is old. The rooms need too be renovated. The staff is nice. The salad at the hotel at the bar is amazing. I had it everyday that I was there. I even went back to get another salad after I left. The rate at the hotel was really reasonable.

Was very disappointed with the first room. It was small and the bed was broken. When you sat at the foot of the bed the whole head part lifted off the ground about 9 inches. We called the desk and after 3 hours we had a guy come up and said he couldnt fix it. So we had to change rooms. The second room was better. The lot was small with only 2 handicap spots. It was hard to find a place to part due to the golfers. They cater to golfers and dont really care about their guests.

I would have to say they should change the name. It was out dated, run down and less than a Resort. Do NOT go here thinking its a super nice place to stay. Its not.

The prices were way too high for a room that smelled like mildew and had paint falling from the ceiling. I will never stay with them again.

The price is not worth it at all!!! Everything is outdated. The last hotel I stayed at for this price was MUCH more updated and a free breakfast buffet.

Very nice hotel for the rate. Good service, nice and polite staff and off course right next to a golf course.

After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous. People didn't have too many nice things to say. I'm not quite sure why! My mother and I stayed here after we dropped my son off at WVU and trust me we are both very picky. Sure it could use some updating but we thought it was very nice. The people were so friendly in both the hotel and the lounge. The golf course looked beautiful. Wish we had more time to check it out.

No Refrigerator, Coffee maker, microwave and the most upset is no internet Service at this hotel.

This hotel should not be labeled as a resort. The price is overrated. There is no way the facilities are commensurate with the Marriot or Hampton Inn..

Very cold swimming pool inside. No towels at swimming pool and hot tub the second day. There is a sign in the room to not take towels for swimming from the room. The sign tells you that towels will be provided at the pool area. No clean towels were provided at pool side. They were stingy with the shampoo. Only one tiny bottle was provided for 2 people for 2 days. We only had one set of towels and a wash cloth for 2 people for 2 days. Can not reach the outdoor pool. It is up a flight of over 50 steps. There was no elevator from the 2 nd floor to the lobby. The pool was on the 3 rd floor..had to climb steps. Will definitely stay at another motel next time. The hot tub was luke warm the 2nd day instead of hot. Evidently, no one takes care of the indoor pool and hot tub areas on Friday.

I found a hotel to be rather out of date. I decided to stay at the hotel cuz I thought it would be more convenient since we were there for a wedding. My family stayed at the holiday inn and the place was beautiful and gave you free breakfest too. I wish i stayed there instead.

I liked the location very much. Thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility itself needed updating, particularly the rooms where we stayed.The bar/grill had good food. Rates were reasonable.

I don't think anything has ever been updated since it opened. The phone and alarm clock has yellow yellowed it was so old. The remote for the TV was duck taped together and it really didn't work fully. I figured if they don't pay attention to the obvious then I'm sure they aren't properly caring for things like deep cleaning. This place creeped me out.

With it being a resort and spa in title and on a golf course I expected more. The Water Front was booked full so this seemd to be the next best option. It was kind of ghetto to me for something on a golf course and titled resort and spa! It seemed more like a Motel 6 or something, not very modern, not super clean, and kinda old and dingy in rooms. The restaurant is amazing, and customer service is fantastic. So employees were total rockstars, anyone I met was kind and the front desk employee Mercedes was amazing. Super kind, professional, cheerful, intelligent, wow I was impressed! Its just an average hotel so I wouldnt be misled by the spa and resort thing...

I assumed since this hotel was at a golf course resort and spa that it had to be improved since other reviews were written...I was wrong. The room was very small, out dated, and there was no overall sense of comfort. When I checked out the next morning, 3 days early, the employee at the front desk was very nice and understanding, but she didn't seem surprised at my reasons for checking out early. The location is also inconvenient. I suggest spending a little more a night to stay at the hotel on Waterfront Place in Morgantown, that's what I did and I had a fabulous stay!

We stayed at Lakeview 4 years ago so we were fully aware that the star level advertised is higher than we think it really deserves. We knew at the time that many of the rooms haven't been renovated but deemed it as reasonable accomodations. When we returned however it appeared that not one thing has been done to update this hotel sinec then - and our room almost appeared as if it hadn't been cleaned since being there 4 years ago. The mattresses were so worn out we barely slept, there was mold or mildew on the wall paper, giant dust bunnies behind the night stand and you could barely turn around in the bathroom it was so small. We will not return again but will return to Morgantown. (And if this means anything to the readers making their decisin, this is the first online review I've ever written after a hotel stay and I"ve used internet hotel sights many times. I just felt strongly that I wanted to share this stay with others.)

Hotel bar was not open when we returned from the football game at 1145pm even though the information in the room stated they would be open until 1am. We ended up at a convenience store to get something to eat where 30 other hotel guests were doing the same.

The rainy cold weather did not help matters and parking spots were hard to find. They did not have our reservation and their system is seperate from hotels.com but they had an upgrade available at the same price so it eventually worked out. Be sure to have the printout of your confirmation from Hotels.com for these kinds of issues as I did. The hotel is quite spead out and our room was a long haul thru many hallways and turns from reception. The room was okay but not great. The spa is in a seperate building so with the bad weather we did not use it. This place would be much better in the warmer seasons. The newly constructed highway interchange is not on most GPS maps they said and almost everyone gets lost trying to find the place - we did. It is a 10-15 min detour off the main route depending on how long you are lost. We will pick more convenient locations for our enroute accomodations in the future.

Lakeview is an OLD property and while the setting is beautiful and the golf course is great, the rooms and the hotel in general has not kept up. It desperately needs some updating. They remind me of the old Catskill hotels!! BTW--Lake VIEW is a misnomer! Could not see the lake from anywhere I was in the hotel!!

Not what I expected. I had to go searching for anywhere on the property where you could actually see the lake. The beds were too soft and they only gave us 2 towels when we registerred for 4 people.

Nice hotel, great restaurant, non-smoking room with a strong smoke smell, outdated but nice.

The hotel was fine, but struck me more like a Motel 6 than a fancy resort. I specifically picked the hotel, despite its somewhat remote location because it was a resort and sounded like it would be a bit more glamorous than the cheap motels we usually stay in. I was disappointed to see that beyond the golf course, the hotel was like any other cheap motel. Our room was small and did not have many amenities--neither a mini fridge nor a microwave. The indoor pool was not heated very well and the carpet was stained...and there was very little to do in the area.

nice amenities (pool & fitness center), uncomfortable beds, food was average at best, poor quality control in kitchen

we got up at 4 in the morning we had to be at the hospital at 5 there was no hot water to shower, the hotel gave us the room key nexted door and it had no hot water either so we had to go to the hospital without showering, we had no time to complain further we had to throw on our clothes and go!

the nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. the front desk did not answer at night. the bed was broken. Most important- the GPS takes you through I-79 but when you get there, you find yourself in the wrong location. You should take I68 instead, exit 10. The staff know about this and it seems this happens to many visitors.

This hotel back in the 80's was the cream of the crop. Not anymore! Nothing has changed since the 80's. Everything is worn, old and in need of huge renovation! We won't be back.

Perfect place to stay away from downtown Morgantown. Quiet and beautiful setting; clean and nice size room. we will come again.

Lakeview was old and rundown. In addition to this the room type we reserved was not available upon check in and we were given a one bed room as the only option for three people. We were very disapointed with the hotel overall and would not return.
