Sandman Hotel Montreal-Longueuil - Longueuil

The room was fairly clean except, I found nail clipping in my 'clean' bed.

...but not great. The check in staff member was unaccommodating. He would not take my credit card which has chip and pin technology even though that is the most secure. He wanted an imprint of my card. When I told him I had no other options, he made me pay cash which was refunded later. He could have just charged my credit card the same amount as the cash. He was really terrible and if I hadn't pre-paid, I would have gone somewhere else. The hotel itself is old, and could use a makeover, but is fine overall. It's located right beside the subway terminal, so getting downtown is pretty easy and cheaper than parking downtown.

located beside a metro station that takes you to old montreal. Hotel staff are pleasent and helpful. The room itself is average. Free parking is a bonus.

Great all around stay the only caveat would be the rudeness of the restaurant waitstaff after she heard us speaking english . The front desk staff made up for that with their professionalism .

The location was convenient, although took some time to figure out how to get out of the complex with all the one way streets. Only complaint is the wi-fi service; it was sporadic and slow. Otherwise a nice, safe hotel with a lovely view of the river.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The location next to the metro station was perfect. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Great location, clean hotel, excellent service, no problems. Would come back in a heart beat.

Great location and free parking. Metro is just next door. The room is clean and comfortable, though slightly outdated. I think it is good value.

Comfortable, convenient place to stay. The kids had fun in the pool. Continental breakfast at $9 a person is expensive so we asked hotel staff if there was anything else around. They suggested a place quite far but we realised if you just go into the subway station there is a Tim Horton's right there.

First time we've stayed at this hotel and last. Too close to 2 major highways and at times difficult to merge onto highway. It snowed for 2 full days along with freezing rain and the parking lot was not cleaned. Bathroom door would not stay closed. No fan in bathroom. Created a sauna in room. Pool area was very dark and water was cold.

Had an intencive University week end next door. Saved a few hours on the road and relaxed in a comfortable upgraded room.Couldn't have been better!

We had a very good weekend.We are looking forward to going to spend a few days again soon.Its only a few minutes from the casino.Where we had dinner.all in all a very nice weekend.Thank you

Not happy. I had work to do and so needed to eat in my room. There is no room service to I had to carry a tray with my dinner from the restaurant to my room. For the price charged there should be room service.

We did not enjoy our stay Room was cold Sink is leaking Tub drain is clogged We used 2 rooms at the same time interconnected together

The hotel is very well and comfortable for a reasonable price. Because the corridor is not soundproof, we can hear some people who think they are alone in the hotel by slamming doors or shouting. But, I will go again because it’s very easy to travel in the city with the subway just beside the hotel.

This is the fourth or fifth time that I have stayed at this hotel. Reason being the location was convenient, the rates are reasonable and it had a few of the necessary amenities that I needed to make my stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, this last visit really burnt my biscuit. You see every time I go there is something missing. First time it was finding out that the restaurant had limited hours and did not provide room service. Another time it was discovering that the pool was out of order due to some issue. This time though it was a combination of things that makes me rethink coming back. Upon arrival there was no "welcome back" from the front desk. I've been there 5x. Come on! That is customer service 101. Get to the room (which is nice with a decent view) only to discover a less than stellar cleaning job, No coffee pot, bath robe and half used toiletries still in the bathroom. Also. the ice machine on my floor was broken, Which is a bummer but the fact that there was note to indicate the fact just made me livid. Common courtesy. Lastly, the restaurant was closed. I presumed it was due to the holiday. Now since I have been here before and I know that the restaurant has off hours I bring several meals with me so I'm not bothered with trekking out to find a meal. But jeez! Send out an email when booking the room that the restaurant is going to be closed for 10+ days!!! Its small things like this combined with past in-fractures that makes me rethink a return visit.

Excellent, although there was shower caps that we need that were unavailable. Recommended for everyone.

Great hotel, subway / metro is across the street. They even allowed us to park longer, for free.

Convenient place to stay, comfortable beds. Continental breakfast offered a good selection at a reasonable price. Free parking is great with easy access to Montreal by a short metro trip, station is in the building next door.

It was a nice stay,clean and comfortable but not fabulous. it was far from everything except metro station so I didn't like the location. the worst thing was breakfast. it was awful!

Ok for the price, but seems a bit run down. The heat wasn't working in the pool room, so swimming was uncomfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful though.

Sadly, I had to stay at the Sandman because of the death of my father. On the other hand, the hotel was VERY well situated and VERY comfortable. I was grateful for the service I received. On one evening, the room was slightly too warm when I walked in, but this is too trivial to worry about. Would I recommend the Sandman? Absolutely, although hopefully for a different reason than why I was there!

The room has some smells, even though it is a smoke free room. The overall 4 star rating seems over rated.

I have stayed here many times. Unfortunately, this visit will make me think twice about staying again. The ice maker was broken on floors 15, 16 and 17. And the air conditioner on my room would freeze up and stop working, usually in the middle of the night.

This hotel was great and affordable! The service was fantastic, everyone was very friendly. The hotel is actually located across the river from Montreal, so you are not within walking distance of anything. But it was a safe neighborhood and only a 5 minute drive downtown.

Great hotel close to the city and right next to the metro had a great stay will stay there again

We had a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Though our room was on the 10th floor, traffic noise would have been a problem for a light sleeper.. Breakfast was good, though at extra cost. The hand wash basin in the bathroom lacked a plug on arrival and there were not enough cups in the room for our family group, but on mentioning this at the reception desk the items arrived at our room within minutes. The Metro station so close to the building (with frequent trains) makes it easy to access the rest of the city. We would stay at this Sandman again.

We ve stayed there before, mainly for the location but pretty satisfied overall. This room had a bit of a strange smell in it that we couldnèt place. Otherwise OK.

The location is very good. Safe place and thank God for a very convinient parking area...Highly recommend

Room was very nice - it rained alot so we walked across the street to the METRO where we had a bite to eat. The front desk printed maps to our next location we were driving to..very helpful staff! Also used the shop, next to the restaurant to purchase some gifts for friends. Had a great stay at the Sandman.

Very convenient location for us, to public transportation and to the family locations. The hotel itself is certainly better than adequate, but we wouldn't be here if it weren't for the location.

Our family of four had a lovely experience at this hotel. It was conveniently close to the train and bus station, and offered a beautiful view of downtown Montreal. The bed in our "executive suite" was very comfortable and the room was modern and attractive. The pool area was great for us as there was a children's section with very shallow water which was perfect for our 2-year old. The fitness center was also nice, and included both weights and cardio machines. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, and would recommend the executive suite as it was only slighter more expensive than a regular room.

Spacious room. Excellent weights selection in the gym. Good location, super close to train.

Hotel is little older but still nice, Staff was very really nice. Good value Surrounding roads is very confusing to get to hotel, very easy to get lost.

I stayed here for the convenience as the metro is steps away. Other than that the hotel is not a good experience. It is old and tattered with mold, rust, and spiders.

It met with my criteria and as I know the Sandman Chain, I found it met with their critieria.

For a hotel this size, with no restaurants within walking distance, I really expected a good restaurant service and room service. It was as basic as one can imagine, and the client I met for breakfast there had to eat gluten free and couldn't eat most items of the buffet breakfast makes it so I would not stay there again.
