Best Western Apollo Museumhotel - אמסטרדם

מלון מכובד, ממוקם היטב, עם צוות חברותי. החדר קצת ספרטני, והיה יכול להיות יותר ידידותי.

מלון נחמד, מיקום טוב אך כדאי לוודא שאינכם מתארחים בחדרים שבקומה העליונה הנמצאים מצד ימין כשיוצאים מהמעלית. הרעש ממערכת מיזוג האוויר/חימום היה חזק וגרם לאי נוחות רבה.

הייתי באמסטרדם ארבע פעמים, והפעם לקחתי טיסה. אם אתה מגיע בטיסה, אוטובוס 197 יוריד אותך בקצה של בניין Apollo. מתחנת האוטובוס לרחוב הבא, והגעת, תחפש את הדגלים. בדרך כלל אני מתאכסן ב Dorint, אבל הפעם לא היה לי רכב. קפה Hard Rock נמצא ממש מעבר לרחוב, כמו גם קזינו Holland. אם אתה מתעניין בקופי שופס אני ממליץ על Happy PPL, שהמחירים שם מעולים. באזור Apollo המחירים יקרים. הלכתי לשופינג ב Gucci ולא הייתי מרוצה מהשירות. המלון אפילו שמר על המזוודות שלנו, כך שידינו היו פנויות לצ'ק אאוט. המלון במיקום נהדר, כך שאינך צריך מונית לשום מקום, רק אם יתחשק לך. שירות נהדר ב Apollo, בהחלט אחזור לשם.

ניתן לתאר בקצרה את החדר (334) כקומפקטי וכתכשיט של ממש. אידיאלי לזוגות, היתרונות הבולטים של חדר האמבטיה הם האביזרים החדשים והשיש. המזרון עשוי מספוג מוקצף ונוטה להתחמם בזמן השינה אבל זה לא מפריע בחורף (פברואר). מיקום מעולה ביחס למוזיאונים, קניות וכו' - כדאי להתפנק ולאכול ב- MOMO הסמוך. ארוחת הבוקר במלון יקרה, יש מגוון גדול של מאכלים טובים יותר בסביבה, מעבר לתעלה. אמסטרדם, אני אוהב אותך!

מלון נחמד וזול, קרוב למרכז העיר. הצוות היה יכול להיות יותר חברותי, אבל חוץ מזה הכל היה ממדרגה ראשונה. תמורה טובה למחיר.

מיקום מובחר, החדר היה נקי, חם עם מקלחת מעולה + מזגן. מושלם לטיולים בעיר.

תגיעו לשם מוקדם, לפעמים כל החדרים תפוסים וישלחו אותכם ללילה למקום רחוק, חוץ מזה המלון טוב למדי, במיוחד המיקום.

שהיתי במשך 3 לילות כאשר השתתפתי בכנס ב-Amsterdam RAI. אזור נהדר ברובע המוזיאונים במרחק 5 דקות ממסעדות טובות, 25 דקות הליכה או הליכה של 10 דקות ונסיעה של 5 דקות בחשמלית לתחנת RAI. למרבה הצער המלון בקושי משביע רצון עם עיצוב די מיושן, חדרים מאד קטנים ובר ולובי הלקוחים ישר מ-1995 (ולא במובן החיובי). מאכזב לרשת המלונות Best Western. עדיף ללון במלון NH בעד אותו מחיר.

מיקום סביר ליד Rijksmuseum, אבל קצת מחוץ לעיר. החדרים מספיק נוחים, אחד האמבטיה קצת מכווצת. Wi-Fi חינם שפעל היטב.

תמורה טובה במיקום טוב מאד. עם זאת החדרים, במיוחד חדר האמבטיה, מאד מאד קטנים.

Staying in any hotel for 11 days during peak season is likely to be tiresome, but we found the front desk of the Apollo extremely responsive, helpful and supportive of our family visit, including 3 grandchildren in their own room. Our experience was very favorable. Although the housekeeping service was a bit variable, it was understandable due to the very full hotel. The breakfast service was excellent, the location away from the crowds but close to the museums, trams and restaurants. The rating as family-friendly was well-deserved.

This is the second time I've stayed here, which shows you that I quite like the hotel. It's not that cheap, but nothing in Amsterdam is, and this one seemed to give a good compromise between budget and quality. But this time around the room was so small it was ridiculous. They couldn't even fit in the furniture - there was one of those folding suitcase stands leaning against the wall, which they hadn't opened out properly because there was just no room for.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A great location, too, with easy access to everything.

I had booked a standard room which i hadn't realized until upon arrival just how small that is - all our 4 suitcases wouldn't fit in the room laid vertically. So we were able to upgrade to the next level for a very reasonable price which gave us so much more needed room. My only complaint, didnt receive the wake-up call we ordered. Luckily we were awake before the time set but could have been disastrous.

Geat location but rooms too small

Perfect location, close to everything you want to see. Very clean and excellent staff, continental breakfast also very nice! It is definitely recommended for any person, couples, or groups when staying in Amsterdam!!!

Hated it. Business trip coincided with abdication/coronation., we did not have a choice as hotels raised their prices by 500%. Room was in BASEMENT..... twin beds side by side, couldn't move past the bed, bathroom was so tiny absolutely horrendous. It stank the whole time. No tea or coffee in the room. we had to ask for the room to be cleaned at 6pm when we returned after a day out. Paying five hundred dollars US/day YES five hundred dollars you would expect that they would at least change the towels, or even give us free tea or coffee in our rooms? NOT. Motel 6 in urban US would have better service.

This was a worst hotel I have ever been too for this price. The hotel room was too small with a small single bed. I paid full price (in-fact more than their usual rate, thanks to hotel.com), but received the smallest hotel room there is. Hotel is right next to a busy street and you have to be too drunk to sleep in these rooms. The only plus with this hotel is that it is quite near to Museums.

Great location if you want to visit the museums or Leidseplein. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a great stay and will stay there again.

But other than that it was great. If you like soft beds it would be perfect.

My stay overall was good. The room (classic) was small but adequate, the beds a little 'saggy' and we were cold unless in bed. I like to read when i come in before going out in the evening and before i go sleep, however the bed side lights would only give off enough light for you to find the bed certainly not to read by. To switch off the main light you had to get out of bed. The service trollies were left out in the corradors all the time.The breakfast ridiculously overpriced. We were disapointed that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and if you wanted one from the hotel bar you had to wait for a person from reception. When the coffee did come it was only warm and half a cup. The slow service extended to the evening. I would have spent more time, more money in hotel if the service was better.

The hotel was nice. The pillows in the room were pretty digusting though. They had several stains on them and after seeing the stains we really did not want to touch anything else. The rest of the hotel was nice though.

Great stay as usual , got a fantastic price and will be back in April :-)

I am not picky when it comes to staying abroad. I thought the hotel was comfortable, clean and in a good location for anyone wanting to visit museums or party and enjoy the major casino in town (it's right around the corner). For anyone looking to visit the "Red Light District", the "district" is a 12 euro cab ride or a 15-20 minute walk. You could also use public transportation for a very reasonable rate, although I didn't use it. My only complaint would be the added cost for breakfast which I did not have. All in all, I would stay here again. Because I was a member of their rewards program, the agent who checked me in upgraded my room even though I booked it through hotels.com.

Really good location,right next to rik museum and 5 minute walk to leidespien where there's lots of bars and restaurants.hotel nice but our room was quite small and had no bath,although shower was very good.breakfast extra at 9 euros and was ok nothing special.hotel was good value for what we paid and would recommend it.

Only a 10 minute walk from Dam Square surrounded by restaurants bars coffee shops and top class designer shops an excellent location ... Staff were fabulous full of information ... Room was clean & modern ... Couldn't have asked for a better base for our first amsterdam visit :) x x

Great location. Great atmosphere. Next to the Casino. The hotel gives you free tickets. Rooms are small but for the price I cant complain. I will stay here again.

enjoyed the stay, rooms are compact!! Ideal for a city break when you are out and about. Tram stops at the end of the road and hard rock cafe across the road.

All was fine, but the shower tended to overflow into the rest of the bathroom. That--and the slightly ridiculous breakfast price--are my only two caveats about this otherwise comfortable, well-appointed hotel with excellent service, right in one of the most convenient neighborhoods (walkable distance to all major points of interest ).

We were first put in a room on the top floor which was above the lift and therefore quite noisy, but they moved and upgraded us for our second night so we were happy enough. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Better off going to Bbs near Leidesplein

Excellent hotel, very central to a safe and affluent neighbourhood.

Good hotel in great location. The rooms and beds are very small but the location and the price makes up for this. I would definitely stay in this hotel again

Hotel was nice was impressed with it for the money but Rooms where alittle small but I did get a basic room. Asked reception for an extra blanket as the first night we was alittle bit cold BUT AFTER ASKING TWICE NEVER RECIVED ONE so that brassed me off abit. Was alittle noisy to but hey ho you are in Amsterdam most of the guessed would have been in a state. Although in the room next door to me i think somebody took it all alittle to far as when the maid was cleaning there room i happened to be walking passed and witnessed first hand the maid violently vomiting into a bed sheet. Be careful not to have a cigerett outside or you might get a block of cheese chucked at you from the top floor of the hotel missed me by an inch I was lucky it hit the ground with a thud I would have easily knocked me unconscious. Lifts are fast though not waiting about for ages. Have fun in Amsterdam folks. :)

The staff was very friendly, the location was absolutely perfect, and the room was super comfy. Its just around the corner from the museums and across the canal from a great neighborhood full of ethnic restaurants and pubs. I was traveling alone, so I stayed in a single room, which has one single bed. The room was small but fine. I was only there for two nights, so didn't spend much time in the room anyway. When you check in, opt for the breakfast for an extra 9 euro each morning, its worth it to start your day with a hot americano and fresh breads and fruit.

rooms way to small just enough for one person only!!! customer service sucks .but was close to the boat ride . really hard to find its all the way down past the shopping mall on a quite road.

I thought this hotel/room was absolutely perfect. The price was great, I was in the museum district near everything. It was great.

Great price for the location. The single room was small but value for money. I was not staying there to sit in a room so perfect for my needs and intentions. Overall very good.

Really nice hotel with service to match and only 2 minutes walk to to town. The rooms are quite small but comfortable and we were out most of the time anyway. Breakfast is quite expensive but there are lots of outlets close by for that.

If you're in Amsterdam for the art, you can't have a better location as this hotel is at the doorstep of three of the best galleries in town. It is, however, a 15min tram ride to Centraal and too long to walk so another consideration. As many other reviews indicate, the rooms are arrestingly small. I never complain about small European hotel rooms but this one warranted mention. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear people walking down the hall, or worse, talking/running loudly. The room could also have been a bit cleaner; there were finger prints and questionable stains on walls. It was okay for 3 days but we would not stay here again.

Our room was freezing (even with the heater cranked up to maximum) and even though it was a non smoking room there was a distinct smoke smell in the room, coming from people smoking right outside the window. It was very noisy in the morning in the corridor aswell - staff yelling at each other was my guess. The bathroom looked very nice but unfortunately there was hardly any pressure in the shower so that made me want to avoid showering as much as I could. Breakfast was also more for show. I would have preferred just some nice bread and fresh juice to that giant pastry selection and bitter "orange juice".

Gerko was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and witty! It is a shame that the other hotel staff do not measure up. Our toilet and tub wouldn't flush or drain, housekeeping only cleaned the room once in our four night stay, and the hallways are very loud! The location, however, is perfect! Everything is nearby or easily accessible!

This hotel is in an excellent location on the upscale PC Hooftstraat. The major museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Stedelijk) are literally right around the corner, as is the magnificent Vondelpark. The canal neighborhoods are within a 10 minute walk, and Dam Square isn't much further. Rooms are comfortable and clean; the hotel has a nice little bar in the lobby, and both high end and budget restaurants are very near by. But the best part of the hotel is the staff - they go over and above to make sure you are comfortable and happy.

The room and bed in this hotel were just too tiny for this to have been able to be in any way a pleasant experience. It felt like a punishment for travelling solo. I could hardly believe the size of the room when I came in, it was the smallest room I have ever seen. There was a problem with the heating and after a few hours of checking in the room was still cold. The staff were very accommodating and offered me another room, I can't complain as they were very nice, but it was still an inconvenience for me, especially as I travel with a lot of luggage. To my amazement, the second room was even smaller! And instead of a view onto the street, the second one had a window over the back. I could barely fit into the shower cubicle, and in both rooms there was not enough pressure in the shower. I did however leave a bag behind in the first room by mistake and was very happy that the cleaning staff had kept it aside for me at reception upon checking out. The staff were good, but I will never return to this hotel again, even if they offered me a room for free!

Hotel was OK level but the location was quite a walk away from the main attractions. Museums are close by but most of them were closed for renovations and nothing else was close by. Our room was on the street level and we had to keep curtains closed so people wouldn't see in. Also the toilets walls were a bit see-through. The most annoying things were surprise city-tax paid at the check out (without mentioning it at all at the check in) and what I think is their reserve of 150 euros on my credit card!!!
