Every stylish. Close to everything. The room was well decor, bed was comfortable. Cozy little spot. Friendly staff, very personalize.

The hotel was clean. That is always my first and main requirement. Per the other reviews, it was very loud, but you are literally in the middle of south beach night life so it is too be expected. Service was decent and it did what it needed to do. Don't go in expecting the Ritz and you will be happy.

Cozy room, if you're looking for super quiet, old folks home, this isn't it, it's hip n chic... I had no complaints

Great hotel location

this location was great. It was close to the beach and bars/clubs, however the hotel it self was ok. nothing great. the rooms were clean but the shower was broken.

Right on the heart of South Beach. Close to many shops, restaurants, and of course the beach! hotel will give you beach towels to use, free happy hour drinks. And my favorite service is the free airport shuttle.

I've stayed at the white law hotel years ago and never experienced this type of problem. The toilet would constantly clog or just run all through the night. The sheets were dirty upon arrival. They never had clean towels and wash cloths to provide the guest. There was always a minimum amount of towels and wash cloths you could get. (Never heard of that before) and the food wasn't that great. I was disappointed in the hotel and they didn't do anything but say there manager wasnt here to compensate for the problems. I think this was the last time for me and my friends to stay at that hotel.

Location is good, room was clean although shower didn't work well, beautiful decoration, service was good as well

Hotel is in a great location, just off south beach. It is a good place to stay if you are a young adult looking to have a good time going out in Miami. Amenities offered are good and provided us with everything we required.

Great location for reasonable price. Clean rooms with modern decor. Just know what you're getting in to. Count on an extra $32/day for valet parking. Definitely not a good place to stay with kids. The lobby/front desk/lounge/club/bar plays loud music all night which we could hear from our second floor room. Love music. Just don't want to hear it when I'm trying to sleep. I work in the hospitality industry and I was very put off by their service. I would go back if I was in Miami to party.

What a nice surprise, although in the middle of South Beach, the room was very nice, and noise wasn't a problem at all.

This its good hotel, especialy for party, many youngs people, veary well localized, beach e restaurants, but be advise, there is no parking include, you must pay 32 dolars a day to park you car!

Worst hospitality I've ever had in traveling. Our whole stay (5 day) no washcloths. Housekeepers were lazy I wish I had taken pictures of how they cleaned my room. all in all there are other great options near south beach. I believe they maintain at a minimum due to location.

My first impression of the hotel is that the pictures included on hotels.com are accurate, but the pictures were taken at the best angle. I expected a really stylish and chic hotel, but it was just okay. The hotel staff was very nice and professional. When we got there (we were early), they held our luggage and asked us to return at 2:30PM. When we returned, our room was ready. We requested a room with double beds and got it. The room is small, and the bathroom doesn't have any towel racks. The shower glass is clear, so don't expect to have someone in the bathroom getting dressed while you're showering (unless you're comfortable with it). We were on the first floor, and the flooring seemed to be shaky and the carpet was pulled up (on the edges). We had to request a room change, but the ceiling is the bathroom was leaking. The room we were moved to had the same problem. We also has problems daily with the toilets getting stopped up. The hotel location is great...A block away from the beach and Ocean Drive. Hotel has free happy hour from 7:00PM to 8:00PM, but the drink selection is limited. At night, the hotel has music playing loudly. It didn't bother us though. We had a great time. I'd recommend this hotel for location only.

The area was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep, possibly due to Spring Break.

This a great hotel for the guest that is looking for a fun time right in the party area of South Beach's Collins/Ocean Drive. For the price, you will be hard pressed to find a hotel that can match the Whitelaw Hotel. The rooms are clean and mine was renovated with 'hipster' flair. Be sure to hang at the lobby bar with the charming Doreene and the rest of the staff that will be sure to make you feel like family. Will be sure to stay here again!

We stayed here for our first marriage anniversary for 4 days. This review is from the perspective of 'what South Beach has to offer': Pros: Very helpful folks at the front desk. Great location with tons of restaurants, shops and bars around. Just 1 block from ocean drive. Our room was sized appropriately for 2 people and faced the street. Free drinks from 7-8pm. Better nightly room rate compared to nearby hotels. Although this hotel provides complementary wi-fi service only in the lobby, but since our room was directly above the lobby, we were able to catch wi-fi just fine :) Cons: Music at the bar downstairs was too loud at nights. Bathroom was small. Hotel room floor seemed kind of loose at places. TV did not offer HD channels. Overall - I would recommend staying at this hotel.

The decor is really cute. I have stayed here twice. You can't beat the price. Cute patio out front, I ate there one morning, the food was decent. The air in the rooms seemed a little humid but maybe that's just Miami hotels. Your shower is going to leak out onto your bathroom floor FYI. Sometimes I wished I had more towels. But it wasn't a huge deal. It was clean. I would stay here again.

ATTENTION WAS GOOD PART OF MANAGERS, would have lacked a bit of warmth toward people. The breakfast they offer is regular and overtime pay. The rating of one to ten, is six.

The music plays very loudly until 2:30 am so it is def a party hotel. The lobby was run down and the waitresses were not very friendly or helpful but it was cheap and right in the middle of everything. 1 block from the beach and Wet Willys. The room was small but I didn't go to South beach for the hotel. I was only there to sleep and the beds were comfortable.

cheap rate ( dinning too ) , party everyday at lobby, many choice of food and shopping nearby, two blocks to MIAMI BEACH and parking lot...1st floor have to carry luggage for 6 ladder ; booking online with King bed ~ only Twim available

Very much aimed at a younger crowd, and that's not necessarily bad. The room was garish --- outlandish plush padding on the walls, a chandelier above one of the beds. But it was a quiet sleeping experience, and the beds were acceptably comfortable. Only downside to the room was the bathroom door, which would not close all the way. The free happy hour was decent. The location is unbeatable - two blocks from the beach, and right in the middle of South Beach. Good place to stay if you're in your 20's and/or don't get freaked out by everything not being perfect.

The hotel is beauiful so different and it has everything. Walking to the room the hall has a nice smell and the room it is so beautiful the decoration, big flat tv, radio cd, a frigde with wine, soda beer, juice, gatorade, there was candy, snacks, chocolate, etc. A bigh bathroom and very moderm. Bar, restaurant, drinks for free and a block away the beach. You have everything on this hotel. We love it!!!!!

Would never return ....horrible experience

The Whitelaw Hotel was walking distance from everything - it was a great choice from my boyfriend and I who are 20somethings who were in Miami looking for both relaxation & partying. Upon arrival, we had to wait until 3pm to check in-BUT the hotel did offer to hold our bags until that time so we could get something to eat in the meantime. The hotel offers free happy hour from 7-8pm every day, which was awesome for a pre-game. Beach towels were available....sometimes. We were on the 2nd floor overlooking Collins Ave. The hotel lobby has music playing constantly which was definitely fun. We did not have any trouble with hearing it from inside our room, which was super quiet although it was directly over the lobby. :) Rooms were cleaned every day, but not until like 4:30PM, which I thought was odd. Especially since we left our hotel room every day by about 10am, and left the "please clean me now" sign on our door handle. Whitelaw is about a 5 minute or less walk to the beach, which was perfect for us! Also, the shuttle transportation to and from the airport was perfect, saved us a bunch of $$ and it was completely reliable and on time - about a 20 minute ride in either direction. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was very helpful and courteous. Room was clean, if a little sparse. There was no towel rack, which was odd. Worst part of the room was that the water tasted awful so I was forced to drink the overpriced bottled water from the mini-bar. Great location though; one block from Wet Willie's and Mango's.

I reserved a room with 2 full beds from hotels.com, but apparently that wasn't guaranteed so when we checked in we got one king bed. I complained but the front desk said they didn't have any other rooms to give us so we would have to move the next day. We sucked it up and said ok since we were just planning on using the room to sleep in anyway. We moved the next day, but the new room wasn't really that much better. The bathrooms were tiny, and it was hard to use the shower without spilling a lot of water on the bathroom floor. Also, the very cool looking sinks were annoying to actually use and very low. There was very little counter space for our toiletries and no drawers to unpack our stuff so we had to live out of our suitcases. The location was great though and for the price I paid I'd say it was a fair value, but I wouldn't stay there again.

If u don't like noise, please request for a room at the back at 2nd or 3rd level. My first 2 nights were at ground level and the music at bar (which is just at the lobby) is way too noisy till late. I couldn't sleep most time. Later on I requested for change to a quiet room, then I was given a room at the back on 3rd floor. At least I got some good sleep thereafter. Location is good. Beach is just 5 mins away. Shopping area is just on the same street too. Food is everywhere. Hotel provides free drinks at the bar from 7-8pm daily, free wifi and airport shuttle. Overall a good stay!

We Loved it! If you are looking for a quiet peaceful sleep go to the west coast of Florida! This is a hip, fun, younger party atmosphere! The whole area is alive and jumpin till midnight, or a bit later, lots of great resturants and clubs, and a block from the beach! We were on our honeymoon & drove from NY to Key West amd up through Miami. We had a great dinner, danced and strolled the area. The room was unique, and the bed was very comfortable. We Will come back!

Perfect location. Trendy. Get what u pay for, low cost = small room, no amenities, strict check in @ 3:00 but good deal. 2 blocks from beach & tons of restaurants, shops, clubs... Loud bar in front cool but ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor back room.

The hotel was beautiful but the drinks the bartender made were terrible .

Hotel is art deco and has beautiful lobby. Location is right in heart of South Beach entertainment and shopping. However there is a bar in the lobby with loud music so don't stay here if you want to sleep. Rooms are tiny and not sound proof so we heard music all night long! Would not stay there again because of this.

Be aware that this hotel targets the young, fun crowd. Loud music is constantly playing from the lobby. However, service was great, the room was much nicer than expected, and you can't bear the price in terms of location.
