Astoria Garden Hotel - רומא

When we lay on the bed the mattress seemed quite hard however we had an excellent night's sleep, better than we had in some softer beds. The size of the room was a bit smaller than we would have liked but it was adequate. Easy walk to train and bus terminal and a great pizza restaurant just round the corner.

Good Service. The location is good being near to Termini station, although some of the streets around the station are seedy. I had a spacious room on the street side. Fortunately it was quiet. The only problem is that the lighting was insufficient for the size of the room leaving the room poorly lit.

This is a basic, no frills hotel, but everything is clean and well maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are small and breakfast was pretty basic. The reception staff were friendly and helpful though and the location is great when arriving by train as it is an easy walk from the station. The surrounding area is ok and there are a host of reasonable restaurants serving good food around. Despite choosing a room with a street view, we slept quite well with not too much traffic noise. This hotel was perfect for a 2-night stay as we spent most of the time sightseeing anyway.

Great Hotel, The staff are excellent which each one as helpful as the next. Beautiful peacful litttle Garden out the back which is unusual given that the Hotel is so close to the centre. Rooms are just about sufficient, but are exceptionally clean! 9/10!!!

If you are looking for a nice, clean hotel near termini, in a good neighborhood, than this is it. The rooms are clean, the TV lets you switch to English sound track for movies (you have to find a way to do that on remote), the breakfast is good and it's within a walking distance to termini. You can also walk to the republic square easily. Very pleasant stay.

It's a very good hotel for the price. The room was clean, the people were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was just enough to start the day. This hotel is good for people who don't expect 5*-service from 3* hotel. For 3* rating hotels this hotel is very good.

I stayed here for my last night in Rome because it's walking distance from Termini train station where I'd be taking their train to the airport. I had a double bed room which was clean but not very lavish and it was a bit small but they had ample sunlight in the room. The bathroom is small but clean. It's a bit of a walk from many sights but I prefer wlaking everywhere in Rome so it's fine for me but not safe for walking late at night. As a single woman traveling alone in Rome for this trip I would not recommend staying near the Termini train station area if you'll walking everywhere as it is not convenient and neither safe late at night. But it's perfect for if you're taking the train. They had free-wifi for first 3 hours but it did not work and I was very disappointed with that as I needed to check-in for my flight.

Nice hotel, had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is a continetal breakfast, so don't expect any hot food, but what they provide is good. Area around the hotel isn't the prettiest in Rome, but it is perfectly safe and only a five minute walk to Termni station which will get you to all the major sites. My only slight moan, would be that the wifi is limited to one hour. At first I could not get the code to unique code to work, I went to speak to receptionist expecting to get a new code printed, but he said there was nothing he could do. Eventually after a hour of trying the code did work. I would stay here again as it is very reasonable for the price and location.

This is a very quaint hotel with exceptional desk staff and a nice clean room. The breakfast was very good and the location was great. My only complaint, and it is unfortunately a big one, is no hot water for the shower both mornings - not even look warm but COLD. Second morning I couldn't even stand it and just washed at the sink. This is a great hotel except for the cold water

Great location near the train station. Lovely staff, reasonable breakfast. Room was small but as we were hardly in it and out exploring Rome most of the time not a problem. Clean and comfortable, good A/C , strong shower. Cannot complain at the price!

We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the Rome train station (about ten minutes). We needed a quad and they aren't always easy to find. The room wasn't huge but adequate for 4 family members, and the hotel offers air conditioning. There's a very nice courtyard in the center as the pictures show, but it was too hot to use in July. The breakfast was fine with a variety of food. We were satisfied with Astoria Garden and would return again.

This is a very nice hotel. It is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and it is within walking distance to the Termini train station (which also has a metro stop). We have stayed here twice, and found it a good deal. The breakfast, which is included, is very nice too! Would stay here again.

Great if you like all things religious (churches etc etc) People around the Termini area left a little to be desired, and probably like any other major city it felt like everybody just wanted their pay off..... Nice place, but now off my bucket list. Hotel rooms were a little on the small size but staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very very good.

Standard double room is a bit small, but adequate for a 3-5 day stay. Rather typical size for a Europe 3 star hotel. A/C worked well (thankfully!!!) Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Wife and I were comfortable. Hotel and Room was clean. Real pillows and towels! Good shower, crowded bathroom though. Not enough shelving for toiletries! They could use a a few more English channels on the TV - only had 2. Staff spoke good english and were very nice & helpful. No real complaints! Several decent restaurants close by.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here, end of holiday and we wanted somewhere near Roma Termini, this was ideal, about 5 mins walk. Really quiet and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would recommend this hotel 100%. Staff were very courteous, also little garden to sit out in if required.

good location . clean hotel. nice garden. breakfast fine. did not know that we have to pay a city tax on top of our orignal bookiing. Was taxes and fees already charged in our booking. but was told the city taxes are extra .

Very good location, is only 5 minute walk from ROME TERMINI. Good restaurant at surrounding. Very polite and helpful staff.

Staff was wonderful! They were knowledgable, friendly, helpful. Gave great recommendatisn for restaurants. Stored our luggage after checkout so that we could continure to tour the city. Would highly recommend.

Spent 5 nights at this hotel. It is a clean and quiet hotel and street. Not too far from the terminal but be aware that the Castro Pretorio Metro station is near if you like to take the Metro to visit the Coloseum, etc.. Like most european hotels, the bathroom is small. Great service and breakfasts!

Good location. Very neer to the city terminal. The personal was very pleasent and service oriented. The room was very dark, didn't look very fresh and the shower was not working properly. But still considering the location, the service and the prices, it was a good choise for two days stay in Rome.

The location of this hotel is perfect for access to Termini Station in order to get to the airport. Furthermore, it is located on the best side of the station because it is a shabby on the other side. The reception and dining areas are superb, as were the friendly and helpful staff. The only disappointment was the size of my single room. I was expecting something a little larger, but nonetheless my stay at the hotel was well worth the reasonable cost.

Very convenient to the Termini station, just a few blocks away. The metro and bus stops are nearby as well, making seeing Rome relatively convenient. Never having visited Rome before, I chose this location for the convenience of arriving and departing. I'm glad that I did. The hotel furnishings are dated, but clean. I visited in early January, the weather was cold for Rome, so the heat was on in the hotel. Either it can't be controlled in the rooms or I couldn't figure it out, so I slept with the windows open to the courtyard and I was fine. Rooms on the other side, open to the street, may have more of a problem with that. If you're looking at hotels in the Termini area, stay on this side. I walked around one evening and the neighborhood on the other side seemed very rough to me. Of course, it was nighttime.

Great service, great location, nice breakfast, but small room. No complaint but small is small and could be a problem. Close to termini but 85 and 962 buses are even better than the metro to get downtown.

Nothing bad to say about this hotel; service was incredibly good, staff nice and smiling, rooms clean (very small and quite outdated but very clean), breakfast ok and location just perfect for couple of nights stay.

close enough to two metro stops. good value in Rome. The hotel was not located on an upper floor of a large building, but was the entire converted old residence, which is nice for the Termini area.

The service at the front desk was amazing and they are 24/hr, which is very convenient. The breakfast in the morning was included in our extremely reasonable price and had several options. Basic, simple, traditional Italian breakfast but all you can eat. The only reason we did not give this hotel a perfect rating is because the beds were SO uncomfortable. The pillows were very flat and the bed mattress extremely hard/firm. We did not sleep well in these beds at all. The bathroom is nice as well as the rest of the hotel. Worth the price, but bring your own pillow.

Hotel was pretty & clean with big garden in the back. Located in a quiet street 3 minutes walk from Termini station. I used public transportation only once to go to the Vatican otherwise everything else was walking distance (20-30 min walk). Gentlemen at the reception were very nice & helpful.

Lovely hotel close to Termini so ideal for getting to or from the Airport. Most helpful staff made us feel very welcome.Good breakfasts and very pleasant garden/courtyard, ideal for restful drink after much sightseeing. Will definitely stay there again. The most surprising thing was the modest room rates.Thank you for a lovely three nights.

This hotel surpassed our expectations! The front desk staff provided excellent service with a smile every day! The room was very clean and although the shower didn't have too much water pressure, it may have just been that particular shower. The breakfast buffet was generous and the location couldn't be beat. It was just a few blocks away from Termini and so it was a very convenient location. When we go back to Rome, we would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel!

Staying at this hotel made it real easy to get back with transport links. Only two metro stops to Colosseum. Cleanliness of the rooms outstanding and very friendly staff arranging tours with useful local advice. Only problem was the breakfast which was a bit boring. Eat local, there is plenty on offer and local supermarket just across the plaza.

I travel often and prefer 3-star hotels and this is possibly the nicest one in my experience. Clean, modern, new-like throughout on a quiet street with the most friendly and helpful hotel staff that I can remember. It is also easy and convenient to find. Walking distance from Roma Termini. I won't hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is very convenient 5-8 minute walk from Rome's Central Station. An excellent location if you have just flown into or you are flying out of Rome as the airport train departs from this station. My wife and I stayed here for one night at the end of two weeks in Italy before flying out the next day. The area is a bit seedy but the hotel is an oasis, with a beautiful courtyard garden, very spic and span rooms, with room to spread your gear and very close to many sites. Would definitely recommend if staying overnight or for a few days.
