Red Lion Hotel Salt Lake Downtown - סולט לייק סיטי

For one night, stay was the adequate and was one of the lowest costs in downtown SLC. Had trouble with the internet office computer to printout plane passes. Slower that 1980's dial-up and then it froze. Office knew of the issue and let you use their private computer. Only had 1 business office computer. Breakfast was very nice in a diner style restaurant. Is close to several nice dinner and brewpub restaurants for nightly dining.

Good: The diner was pretty good. Bad: But no breakfast was provided for a quick get up and go. Parkinglot is DARK @ night, with a lot of bums looking for handouts, the dark lot could make for some shady business @ night. I thought the balcony windows were broken, but they have been intentionally locked down. Plumbing is getting old or needs maintenance. Check-in was very slow... Computer system needed help too. Although the Staff was helpful and the rooms were fair, I wouldn't choose this hotel again, it certainly wasn't worth the price.

The beds were the best.

Red Lions provide excellent services with free shuttles services to the airport and town. Ski rental are just across the street . Carpark are free too. I stayed at red lion for 8 days due to conference. I arrived at about 11am and was given a 2nd floor. Feeling unhappy with the low floor, i went back to Laura who is at the front desk and told her my request for higher floor and better view. Without hesitation she tried to arrange for a high floor and gave me a $5 voucher to dine in at the diner while they prepare the room for me. After i m done with the meal. She personally came over and handed me the keys. The room that she gave me was awesome with magnificent view of the eastern mountains. Great service.

It's about 4 blocks from some of the restaurants and breweries. Good place to stay for business. Diner in the hotel is convenient.

It's in an awesome location. Walking distance to temple square. The room had lots of information about its surrounding areas.

Great place to stay, price was fantastic. The room was no-frills, but very clean. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The parking lot was a little sketchy at night. Could use better lighting. But that seemed the only drawback.

This place is showing it's years furnishings were stained and worn. The curtain was completely disintegrating and shredded. Just don't look too close. Not sure this was a good value for what they charge.

Rooms were clean. Nice location. A few pet peeves..... The staff were not very accommodating with requests. We ended up needing maintenance on our room as the closest broke... No conditioner in the bathroom. Housekeeping skipped our room one day. Pool was closed. But i liked the location.

Good location, walking distance to downtown...

stayed at the red lion during the ncaa regional in slc. location was great. walking distance to energy solutions arena, sports bars and restaurants. free parking and great internet. breakfast buffet at the hotel was great. would stay here again.

Usually get a great deal. Rooms are big, but need to be updated. Very easy to get to and avoid city center traffic although its downtown. The restaurant and bar closes too early. And all rooms are non-smoking which I don't mind. But you used to be able to use the balcony but now those are closed off.

I stayed at t he Red Lion in Salt Lake while visiting with family and friends. The downtown location, and close freeway access, made it easy to get around. Friendly staff, a plus!

Although the Red Lion is an all non-smoking hotel, every entry way had a group of smokers that you have to go through to enter the hotel. The smoke carries up to your room and makes it uncomfortable to go in and out and walk your dog (since we were traveling with one).

Our first impression of the hotel was the staff was really friendly, then we got to our room and there was a bug on the wall and it the carpets needed to be cleaned, but it was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

over priced for what we got, very average

Only stayed one night with a friend who was in town. Staff was friendly. Shuttle to downtown was so convenient. Room was well kept and clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

I really wanted to like the Red Lion Hotel. The worst part was our mattress. It was just too old and soft, err rather well used. Housekeeping does an OK job the the maintenance crews are keeping this old gal up. I saw several things that just were poor maintenance. I know the management doesn't know the proper way to run a front desk. The front desk manager must not have a desk because she stands at the front desk and just talks away. Overall I guess I just expected more. Not sure I'll go back. The cafe had a very unhealthy menu and were out of the things we wanted to eat. Oh well.

I enjoyed my 2 night stay. The room was beautifully renovated. Nice furniture, microwave, fridge, comfy beds. The heater was a little too loud for me. The service was good, pleasant and helpful. Not the most desirable location with gas stations on either side and a lingerie shop behind it, but easy access to downtown.

The room was super clean the only thing that i wasn't very happy about was that we were in a non-smoking room yet it smell a lot like smoke but it did't really bother me.

This staff is excellent from the time you walk in to the time you depart.Excellent! The beds are comfortable, and set up nicely. My room showed a weathe worn curtains and some ware of fixtures, none that matters, because the staff more than made up for little re-fub. Great rate.

Downtown Salt Lake City has a long number of homeless poeple, but the hotel was clean and had above decor.

the a/c didnt work that great so it was hot through out the night so if the a/c worked would have been an awesome stay

We were very impressed with hotel, and the shuttle service to downtown was a plus.

Loved the Red Lion Hotel and this is not the first time I have stayed there. It is very close to downtown and has everything within blocks!

We stayed at this location prior to a flight out. To my surprise this hotel was clean and nice. I was also happy to have a comfortable pillow top bed. My family and I did not expect to have a great rest prior to an early morning flight. We will definitely use this hotel again!

we had the room temperature at 80 degrees the whole time and were still not comfortably warm. We had expected more channels on the t.v. and there was no pay for view or DVD options that we would have liked. The diner in the building was slow on service, asked for no mushrooms and still got them, didn't ask what we wanted to drink and when we reminded them it was very slow in coming. Did not check on our table enough and it wasn't busy so it should have been better service.

Great value! I expected much less for the price I was paying. The room was clean, linens were acceptable and bed was super comfortable. I would guess that they have done a recent renovation and it was done nicely. The lounge was functional serving meals and drinks but not a place to have a romantic glass of wine. Overall, I was very impressed - nice hotel and great value for the dollar.

the front desk was wonderful , i did use room service for breakfast one morning i would not recommend it the eggs were cold along with the bacon and pancakes the only thing that came hot was the coffee and it was expensive
