Staff was fantastic at Check in and Check Out Very nice Room Clean and comfortable I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone that wants a great place to stay in Cherokee

the front desk staff at this hotel are the GREATEST! they helped with a booking mishap, were kind, notified me within minutes of a cancellation so that we could stay an additional night! rooms were very clean and comfortable. great location! if you are in Cherokee, STAY HERE!!!!

there was black mold in the tile in our shower. the front desk lady said the front desk will close at 8pm each night.she was the front desk clerk, housekeeper, maintaince man/womanand i guess she ran the restraunt too. it was closed .enough said

room was very clean nice location and large bathroom and shower tub would surely stay again

The staff was great, and the location was great. However, it is time for renovations.

This hotel impressed me! It was clean and convenient to access. Near Cherokee town & casino, parks and shopping. The grounds were lovely, with relaxing water ponds that flowed, lots of flowers and a beautiful restaurant (newly opened after being closed for years!) Best home-made apple butter we ever tasted! Breakfast wasn't free, unfortunately, but it was definitely worth the price (french toast, 3 kinds of sausage, gravy & biscuits, eggs and more!) the coffee in the lobby was free! Hotel staff might have been a tad warmer to their clients (they operated "busy, busy" even when no one else was around. Just wanted us to leave the key on the counter without making eye contact. Is that ok???) That's ok, everything else made up for it.

Great hotel and the staff were friendly. The room was large and comfortable. Beware of the soap holder on the wall of the shower.

Probably because we had a small dog, we were placed in the back building overlooking a trailer, which detracts from the background view of the smokies. The hotel room itself has been fairly recently renovated and is reasonably up-to-date. The amenities at this hotel which much less than what we received at hotels in other locations at this price level. In rooms with 2 queens, no refrigerator or microwave. Shampoo & soap is generic. No HBO or movie rental options and TV reception was fuzzy. No complimentary breakfast (though the staff at the newly opened on-site restaurant was very friendly, and they did serve fresh fruit which is not terribly common in Cherokee restaurants, it seems). Also, another member of our party discovered that her room had not been cleaned despite being out of the room all day. (They did someone to clean it upon being notified). The bathroom doors lock themselves when they bump against the wall, locking you out. Finally, the front desk is clearly understaffed, resulting in delays in getting assistance. In general, the hotel options in Cherokee aren't great, especially if you have a pet. But if I were to go again I would try to find a nicer hotel for the price.

I like the idea that it right in the middle of stores, arcades. There were lots of shops, arcades and games for kids. One disappointment was, I had booked this particular hotel because there was a restaurant attached to it. Once we arrived, we found out the restaurant was closed and the staff didn't know what was going on concerning management of the restaurant. It would have been nice if it had been open since it was within walking distance.

Inspite of some negative reviews decided to stay here for a long weekend for 2. We enjoyed it so much we checked out on Monday but decided to stay by the pool for a while before leaving then changed our mind and rechecked back in for another night. Everything was very clean, Staff were very friendly. The last day the pool was cleaned that AM then we had it to ourself til that evening. It was well worth the money. Will definitly be returning.

Staff very nice. Room needs some updating and maintenance .

I loved the room however if I had not booked through hotels.com I would have gotten the room for much less. There was not supposed to be additional pet deposits and I was charged additional.

The hotel was perfect and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are happy. I had a problem with the key card but it was taken care of very quickly. I wish it had been warmer so I could have swam in the pool.

Even though we only stayed for one night, due to just a stop-over on the way to Tennessee, we enjoyed our one night. The location was very convenient and they are pet friendly, which is a must for us. We will stay there again in the future.

This motel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located close to the national park.

Hotel staff were very pleasant. The omelet in the hotel restaurant was excellent. I found this hotel by searching pet friendly hotels in the area. The room rate was a little higher than I usually pay but figured it was the addition of the dogs. I called to confirm the reservation, even though Hotels.com said I didn’t have too. I just wanted to make sure they understood we were bringing two pugs & that there was no additional charge. When we arrived & my husband goes into check in he was asked an addition $50 ($25 per dog) above what was already paid for. The room was clean but musty & the bed hard a rock.

Pictures on website are not accurate 4 pillows on each bed when in actuality there is 2. Older hotel with new beds and carpet bathrooms lacking attention. If you arrive after 8 pm you need to call a number left on the door. If you want anything from housekeeping you had better order it before 4pm or your out of luck they leave at 4pm. Also there is no continental breakfast not a real problem restaurant onsite wrong needed to be on road early went down for breakfast at 6:45am not open went again the next morning at 7:30am not open. Just a few facts you might want to know before you book your rooms, if I would of had an idea I would not of booked with this hotel. Good luck...............

stay here for 2 night, the room very large for 2 queen beds. very clean. though it is a old place to stay but the room very clean and up to date. have all the normal Amitie. shower water is good.. overall, no complaint. . would stay there again for next trip... and would recommend to other..

The staff was cordial, the room was very comfortable and the hotel is located close to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The surrounding area is filled with lovely shops within walking distance. Whenever in this area again I will surely stay here.

The hotel and front desk people were awesome!!!! I don't recommend you going to their restaraunt though. The service totally sucked!!! The waitstaff were very slow and had to be reminded to refill our coffee and when we finally got our food after a 45 minute wait it was COLD!!!!!!!!

THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMADATING.

The hotel, located in Cherokee, N.C. was easily found and clean. The pool was well kept. The front desk staff could have been a little friendlier. We tried to eat at the restaurant on premesis but a group ahead of us all ordered steaks and therefore we were told it would be a "long time to wait". They did however suggest an alternative restaurant. The alternative restaurant served a buffet dinner and the food was good and plentiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The local folks were very friendly.

Although not a Best Western anymore this property is being kept up well. The resteraunt staff tried bravely to keep up with the influx of guests. Many things on the menu were not available and we waited 45 minutes for our meals. There were 5 tables of people and us at the time. Hotel service was very fine. Room was quiet and easy parking was nearby although we were on the second floor. The room price was half what it would have been had it still been BW. Sep 15 thru 19, 2011

This hotel is in a great location. Also room is really pretty. Management is nice. But the beds are so hard and lumpy you can't sleep on them. Other than the beds the hotel and surroundings are great.

My little baby has never had any fleas & ticks on her she had bites all over her. I found A tick in the bath room. It looks like if you have to pay extra for your pets, the money would go to treatment for fleas& ticks. 25.00 a night is alot. for A pet. we were told by hotels .com we had A freg & mircowave. nothing in the room. after a few talks with the front desk we finely, got the freg, but no mircowave.

This hotel has been updated since the last time we stayed there and the rooms were much nicer. The location is great. The service in the restaurant was very slow but apparently several employees did not show up that weekend which explains the slow service. It was a quiet and peaceful stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean, nice staff and in good location. I would stay here anytime the Harrahs was not available. Be prepared to eat breakfeast out on Sunday, as the restaurant is closed.

We really enjoyed how polite the staff was at the Magnuson Inn at the Great Smokies. There was always a friendly smile greeting us.

I was very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Took our dogs for a short getaway and was very pleased with how clean the room was. You never know what rooms look like with previous dogs. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I am definately looking forward to coming back for another stay.
