very scary the were men on every balcony smoking and I felt we were the only white people in the hotel. and ruff looking people. would not recommend to any one.

Great place. Nice friendly staff.

our stay was fine everything we wanted was right in that area and we found everything we had to get. so it was perfect for what we wanted , so we might be back next year. thankyou.

not a place to bring kids .

The WiFi was not working properly, the desk clerk said she would reset the router, after a half an hour she still had not reset the router so I went to the office and she was doing her paperwork and said she would do it when she was done with her paperwork. I stood there for fifteen more minutes while she did paperwork which was obviously more important than an actual guest. The reset worked for five minutes, so I checked out rather than wait around for her to decide I was important enough to do her job for.

This was the cheapest hotel I could find, because I just wanted to stay overnight after a party rather than have a 3-hour drive afterward. I wasn't too concerned with the area or the amenities, as long as it was in city limits. There was a fridge in the room, which was nice (those seem to be an endangered species). There was free outdoor parking onsite. There was wireless internet, though it didn't really work and I switched back to my mobile phone's internet. The toilet did this weird, loud, periodic refill of its tank and I had to get in and tweak it to make it stop. All in all, a good value if you just want a place to sleep, but if you can spend an extra $50 and stay in a nicer area, you'll enjoy yourself much more.

The website showed something better. The bathtub plugger was falling apart. The toilet was running all night. It says it has Wi-Fi couldnt log in for the 2 days that I was there. No coffee maker or alarm clock in the room.. I would never stay there again. The website should show how it actually looks like..

The hotel was alright, but kind of ghetto. It was not in the best part of portland, there is a strip club visibly across the street. The staff was nice but seemed sort of disorganized.

Fight broke out in adjoining room and police and ambulance were called. Not a restful night at all.

fine place to crash for the night after a long day at a conference. not too far to commute to the convention center by bike, and close to some major bike routes

This was possibly the worst place I have ever stayed! It was an awful area, smelled bad, poor service, mold in the tub, dirty pillows, plywood in one of the windows, cigarette burns in the blanket, noisy, thin walls, trains, tons of traffic, I could go on and on. I am soooo not a snob either but would rather sleep in my car than ever stay here again. Pitiful breakfast that we wouldn't have dared to eat anyway.Staff must smoke in the lobby since it reeked. Just bad. Even the parking sucked as I got blocked in my spot.

Bad had to go to a different motel that was just nasty

I booked this for my mother without reading reviews. When my family showed up there first impression was terrifying. They said it was like rolling into a crack house. Do I really need to comment on the room after that. I can't believe a name brand hotel would keep their name on the sign.

I needed a cheap place to overnight in PDX. Reception was nice, wrote down a taxi number for me. But my only problem was that no one had milk for coffee. I ended up crossing a very busy street at 6:30 in the morning just so I could have coffee that I could drink. (I was on East Coast Time) and then at McDonalds, they looked at me funny and charged me for a kids bottle fo milk for my coffee because they only have half and half. I thought that coffee was popular on the West coast. They love wine, but seem to hate cows...

The hotel staff don't show much commitment to serving guests. I've tried to ask for help to at the help desk but most of the time they are not there. I was expecting a guest one day, which I hadn't told the receptionist about. But the receptionist gave my friend access to my room without calling me first to confirm. We all know the consequences of this action if I the guest was not someone I knew. Also the hotel is too close to busy roads so it quite noisy at night when you trying to find some sleep.

The hotel itself was clean, easy and relatively comfortable. (The pillows/bed weren't the most comfortable, but not bad.) The area however was a bit on the rough side. There seemed to be "residences" living in the hotel, I was woken up twice throughout the night, once by the "residents" yelling in the parking lot and another by some drunken girls screaming and banging around my room. The hotel staff was kind and the room was pretty cheap, so I would definitely stay again out of convenience.

This Hotel overall wasn't too bad except the fact that some of the towels were very bad with stains. Another thing was the continental breakfast. Don't let those words fool you. They don't mean pancakes, fresh fruit, waffles, etc. All that they offer is coffee, juice, and some small muffins. Overall the hotel was decent for the price we paid and there was a McDonald next door. The Expo center was very close and that was the reason for us staying there.

The hotel is in a shady part of Portland. Rooms were out dated and not very clean. Although staff was very friendly, we would not choose to stay here again.

i booked this hotel because it said it was close to downtown and it was fairly cheap. Well i got what i paid for! It is not close to downtown and the room was full of mosquitos. Within the first 10 minutes in the room i was bitten 7 times. I had to change rooms. The other quest looked like they live in portland but didnt have a place to stay and do their shady stuff. I had to keep an eye on my car in fear that i would wake up in the morning and it would be gone. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to any new comers to portland.

Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic. Otherwise everything was good for the price.

The lights didn't work, the carpet was filthy!!! Beat up furniture.

So, it may be my GPS, but when I plugged the address of this hotel in to it, it lead us to an abandoned building in the industrial section of Portland. This hotel is located near the industrial areas, not the best neighborhood, and lots of auto shops. There was no amenities near by, except for a sketchy gas station. We heard sirens around us at all times of day, and the roads were extremely noisy. Even for a one-night stay, I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Easy to find location on MLK in NE Portland close to fast food, expo center and not all that far from downtown. Older but well maintained. Staff was very competent and cut us a little slack on a late checkout.

Good for the price. Comfortable beds but not so clean bedsheets. Breakfast doesnt offer much, just about 4 items including the beverages.

Pros: The staff let us several hours before check in time right after we arrived from the airport. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily. That's pretty much it.... Cons: This hotel is in a shotty part of town and it is NOT close to anything! It's closer to the airport than anything else. You may as well stay at the airport hotels for a cheaper rate at probably a more decent hotel. Getting to downtown is not hard by bus but the way the hotel is advertised it makes it seem like it's right downtown and it isn't. We ended up renting a car because getting to farther destinations than downtown by bus took 30-45 minutes because of the bus route near the hotel... It takes you out of the way. The room was also very very small. The bed was uncomfortable and only had two pillows total with a thin blanket and typical scratchy hotel comforter. It needs to be updated overall. The water pressure in the sink and shower was absolutely awful! Barely any pressure at all and the temperature would go hot or cold for no reason during a shower. The air conditioner/heating unit was so loud when it rained we couldn't sleep. You could hear rain droplets from outside hitting it that were so loud and amplified we thought the unit was breaking down until we realized it was simply just the rain!The continental breakfast was a few English muffins,coffee,oj, and muffins. Nothing great at all. No yogurt or fruit and it ends at 9am. Overall I'd say if your gonna stay that far just stay by the airport or spend the extra cash to be downtown. We were not impressed.

The stairs to the room had torn carpet. Ice machine old, barely working. Chairs in the room were stained. Free breakfast was a joke. Other "guests" very noisy all night. Easy to get into parking lot, very hard getting out.

Chose the location for it's okay ratings and convenient location to several places I was going to for a friend's party in NE Portland. The place itself was okay, no issues with the condition of the room really (although no tv remote and the wall in the shower looked like it was having some issues). The problem was the place was just on a major roadway and therefore loud, and really a bit sketchy. People just hanging out on the balconies, talking loudly and somewhat aggressively. Frankly, I was just happy to not have my car broken in to or damaged for the couple nights I was there. I spent very little time there on purpose, was just there to sleep, but wouldn't return.

I just needed an inexpensive place to overnight while traveling alone. While the room needed some maintenance and the furniture was old, everything felt clean and the bed mattress was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Free parking was nice. Worst thing was that the room was cool at night and the heater was very noisy.

Nice, friendly, and helpful front desk staff, but the room left a lot to be desired. The shower head did not work well, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and left my clothes smelling bad, and I could hear the people next door talking all night long. I would not stay here again.

I FINE IT VERY CLEAN AND NICE . GOOD

Although this hotel was conveniently close to our daughter the overall condition of the hotel was poor. The carpet was coming up from the floor, somebody had smashed in the bathroom door and the door jam was broken and not fixed. The parking area for our truck was full of potholes. The hotel staff was friendly but the overall poor condition of the room detracted from the overall stay experience. The hotel seemed to stress the econo side of the lodge experience.
