Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pacifica - פסיפיקה

Not wanting to pay incredibly high parking fees for San Francisco hotels, we decided to stay at the Pacifica. We were very impressed right from the start. The staff were very helpful and really friendly. WI-Fi is free (why do some places charge for this?) The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was large, quiet and with lots of hanging space. Parking is free and a great breakfast included. The location is just off the highway next to a sandy beach. We drove to the nearest BART station (10 minutes) and let the train take the strain ($6.30 return). The system worked well - all the details (and map) were given to us at reception - an example of how helpful everyone was. Would also suggest a visit to "A Grape in the Fog" bistro type place, just round the corner. We would highly recommend this hotel, a convenient way to visit San Francisco...... even the free cookies are good too.

Walking distance to beach and food. clean rooms. friendly staff.

We could see the ocean from our room...great view, Everyone at the hotel was very nice and our room was clean and comfortable.

Clean hotel, friendly at all times, will stay again in the future

My wife and I were driving from San Francisco South along California scenic Route 1 on New Year's Day and picked up this hotel at the last moment because it got dark and we wanted to continue in daylight the next morning. We were given an upgraded room with partial ocean view, which felt as homey and cozy as we had not felt in a hotel for a long time. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, the hotel was very clean and very neatly decorated and our room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and sofa. The breakfast was also good and as we walked around the hotel in the morning we found a very nice beach right around the corner. We will definitely stay again in this hotel.

Overall employees are very courteous and friendly. Breakfast was free and just okay.

Only complaint really is that the hotel has a weird smell and our room smelled pretty gross. At first, I thought the smell was cigarette smoke, but then later concluded that it just had a weird, yucky smell. We only saw 2 restaurants around the area. Breakfast was good, our room was clean, and you can walk out to the "beach" area, which is pretty. Just a stopping point - not much to do around town

Chose Pacifica as a close first night destination after arriving in to SFO for vacation. Hotel has received the Holiday Inn facelift and is overall well done. Rooms next to the highway are (not surprisingly) a bit noisy. For a bit more money it would be worth getting an ocean view room, especially if you are staying for a couple of nights here. Staff were excellent. Rooms are well furnished and very clean. Buffet was well stocked in the morning. Overall a great start to our vacation. I would recommend this stop to a friend.

If travelling to SF, prefer stay here, in Pacifica. Just 20 minutes by car to downtown SF. Quiet and nice stay near the ocean is much better than over-over-priced hotels in San Francisco or Oakland. Very nice and clean hotel.

Room was very nice and updated. Staff was friendly. Everything was great! We will be staying here again for sure.

Clean rooms, good service, front desk very hospitable, and breakfast in lobby. Nick's restaurant behind the hotel serves very good food. A lovely Christmas store across the street. Hotel is on Rockaway Beach where you can watch the waves crash against the rocks, or walk the Tsunami Trail to Pacifica Beach to watch the surfers.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for just one night before staying in San Francisco for the rest of our trip. It was a nice change from staying in the city, with the ocean right there. The Farmers market on Wednesday was great. It is really small, but wonder food. The mango necturines were delicious and the jams were tasty. My wife even had a massage. Room was clean, neat, hot water, well located.....only bad point was that the bed was soft and saggy.

Beautiful room with ocean view. Quiet location and lots of nice amenities. A little high priced for a Holiday Inn Express; probably because of the location (on the beach).

The only complaint I have is that the whole entire carter was slightly damp from carpet cleaning? It smelled nice & clean. The beds were very comfortable.

I stayed one night and was very impressed by the personal service the owners provided. They called my room to check if everything was satisfactory and if there was anything else I needed. The room was very clean and nice...overall a very nice place to stay...and the breakfast had a great variety to choose from

Very nice location. Could hear the ocean from our room. Secluded cove was nice. Friendly staff. Clean and nice room. Kind of a funky smell in common area. Lot's of garbage truck noise in the morning one day- but otherwise a great place to stay.

The hotel was immaculate and perfect for our surf contest in Pacifica. I wish we could have enjoyed the breakfast, but had to leave at 7am. We would definetly stay there again.

Normally stay at Embassy Suites or Marriott hotels so I was a little weary of a Holiday Inn- let me just say the staff was awesome! The free hot breakfast was great and the view from our room was beautiful. The only thing was our room was a jr. Suite and it was small but that's about the only thing I could of complained about. Will be back hopefully this summer.

This hotel was the most uncomfortable experience yet, and I travel each week on business. While the office/desk area was quite nice, as well as bed and kitchen set up, the bathroom was horrible. the problems were the following; bathroom fan stayed on ALL THE TIME, lights would go on off auto, so you would move constantly in bathroom and hall to keep them on while getting ready, the temp was set at 70 and could not be lowered or increased. While you are trying to manage expenses please note that it is very uncomfortable listening to a fan for over an hour while getting ready as well as having lights that auto turnoff during the process as well.

All i can say about our stay was that we had reservations for 4 nights and left after 2.When we checked in to our room and first opended the door on the room.It smelled of MOLD.And it smelled of smoke.And its suppose to be a non-smoking hotel.Maybe they should tell the guests in the handicap room that.And that too was a shock.We got a handicap room.No thatnks!!So we went down to the desk to ask for another room.And we were offered 5 diffrent types of room spray.Do you think maybe this has occured before.I would say so!! So we stayed only because there wasnt another hotel available.

Great stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was terrific too. Location is perfect - walk to the beach next door, or to restaurants.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now. It's the best I've found in the area. Great hotel, extremely helpful staff, good location, etc. Really nothing negative I can say -- except that I hope it doesn't become so popular I can't get a room here anymore!

Everything was fine. The room looked just like the photo on the website. It was quiet and very clean. I liked that their was a microwave and sink in the room. It's nice not to have to leave the room to heat something up. Having to use the bathroom sink to wash something other than my face, is a plus. The front desk people were great! Turns out i had been chaged twice. Once by HOTELS.com and i payed cash upon arrival. In the morning i received a call from the front desk, stating that i had already been charged, for me to come down and pick up my money. I appreciated that. Great stay, over all.

I travel a lot for business and stay in a lot of hotels in this range. This hotel is among the best, maybe the best I've stayed in. The front desk staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. The lobby area is well-maintained and has a great view of the crashing surf. The room was very comfortable: lots of drawer space, comfortable bed, good shower, etc. Nice new flat panel TV. Having a fridge, microwave, and even plates and forks made for a great stay of more than a few days. Breakfast is unusually good with a lot of variety. Coffee, hot chocolate, and juice are available 24/7. The only minor complaint I have is that the parking (covered under the hotel) is a bit cramped. But I've seen far worse, and this is really nothing to worry about. In terms of access, the hotel is right on Hwy 1, about 20 minutes from SFO and downtown (30 min in traffic). There are several good restaurants nearby (Nick's and a gourmet hamburger place in easy walking distance, several others a short drive away). Highly recommend this if you want a get-away hotel in Pacifica, or even if you have business in the area and don't mind driving into the city.

It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. We are greeted like old friends and treated the same way.

Beautiful panoramic view but No bath matt on cold tile,and no morning coffee cups .Very expensive so should have been better taken care of.Staff was nice .We stayed two nites

Nice Hotel (in a small bay on the ocean, lots of windsurfer on the beach) with good organisation and very nice surounding (look at the beach while taking breakfast).

The rooms are adequate, the service was excellent and the view of the ocean from our room was very nice. I would stay here again. A very good value.

If you're looking for a place to stay just outside the San Fran area I suggest you try Pacifica and this hotel. The city is nothing special but this getaway spot is excellent, with great views and a private beach. Check out Half Moon Bay if you're looking for more action though.

The service was very good, cheerful and quick. The amenities were good, rooms clean. And Rockaway Beach is charming, central to most sights and events in the Bay area, including the airport. You will need a car.

First time stay in Pacifica Holiday Inn & Express. Was disappointed that it is somewhat away from any family restaurants. There are two restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. The price menus are expensive. We had to drive down 280S to find other restaurant for our meal. The hotel staff should provide us with addresses and phone numbers of local restaurants. Instead we were just vaguely directed to walk behind the parking lot! Breakfast was not good! I never tasted mushy scrambled eggs and syrupy cranberry juice! On a positve note, it is working distance to the ocean front and we enjoyed the trail walk in the morning prior to departure. The staff was friendly.

It has beautiful ocean view and the location is very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a good place to rest after a long busy day. We really like this hotel.
