The hotel was fine with the exception of a fire alarm going off @ 2:30 in the morning. Getting a good night's sleep in a hotel is hard enough without being awakened by a fire alarm when the was no issue with smoke fire or otherwise. The fire truck arrived in about 5 minutes or so and after about 20 minutes reset the alarm. Don't get me wrong things happen and I have no complaint about being safe. What I do have an issue with is that no one at the hotel said anything to me about it. No apology, no asking if I was able to get back to sleep, no explanation....nothing. That is why I am rating overall and service so low. I feel that someone should have done something to address the issue.

Awesome hotel Service was excellent! Breakfast was good on Friday.

We truly enjoyed our stay, had abit of difficulty finding the hoter after dark but we got help and would come back.J Hunter

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The indoor pool was a plus for the weather we encountered. It is also located conveniently next to a stop for the free shuttle to the capital campus.

There's nothing terribly fancy about this place, but it's clean, comfortable and well-situated.

Everyone was so polite and helpful. The room room was cozy and comfortable.

Great for getting off the beaten track. Close to park and water. Small walk to local shops and eateries.

I was disappointed with what I got for the amount charged. The room was clean but had been "used and abused". The first night resulted in being brought wide away with a street brawl outside my window. The desk clerk advised there was a bar nearby and some of the people had overflowed into the street.

The hotel is nicely situated for downtown exploration, near shopping restaurants, and the Farmers' Market. Good breakfast buffet, nice rooms and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay.

Customer service was excellent. Nathan who checked us in was professional and courteous.

The Phoenix Inn Suites offers large rooms (yes, suites) with comfortable bedding and nice amenities - fridge, coffee and tea fixings that are NOT in the bathroom, a nice couch and work space area, and a large bench-type structure on which one can put one's luggage (much better than those flimsy metallic things). AC was not noisy. Staff were friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast fare was the usual coffee (good), juices, waffles, eggs, cereals, bagels, etc - certainly fine if you're not looking for anything unique. I liked the fact that the breakfast room was large so that tables were not on top of each other and that the television was not blaring (it was on closed-caption - not sure if that's always the case). Great location - near the waterfront and the downtown area. Room Tip: I just put a note on my online reservation for the 2nd floor, and got a room there.

Didn't care much for the shower head or the soap dispensers. But the king bed was great and our rooms were clean. Would stay again.

Super helpful and friendly hotel staff, told us where the good hikes were, was full of good suggestions. The hotel is walking distance to downtown and the farmers market. It was clean and well-maintained.

Great location and large breakfast buffet

Except for the swimming pool heater being out and the poor room lighting, almost everything was very good to excellent. The room lighting was so dim you could only see to read a map by holding it directly under a table lamp. The breakfast was adequate, but only of average quality.

Centrally located. Good price. Hotel staff very obliging and helpful. Rooms need updating esp wallpaper and carpeting.

on cking in, was a little concerned about the fallen plaster over the entry door, but the hotel was, all-in-all, a great place. warm cookies in the evening, coffee 24/7, and a great breakfast buffet in the morning. The furnishings in the rooms could use a little updating, but the bed and the sofa were both comfortable. Nice big king suite. 2 blocks from the market, with lots of restaurant choices in walking distance.

Great quiet location and an easy walk to many good restaurants and strolls along the waterfront.

No extras, but everything you need. No robes provided in room. Other than thwt, everything as described. My daughter found the sheets to be uncomfortable.

This is a very clean hotels, spacious rooms, quiet and located in a neighborhood that is great for walking even at night.

We wanted a location within walking distance of the Performing Arts Center, near the water and decent restaurants. The Phoenix Inn Suites came through perfectly for our needs! We had a super quiet room on the top floor w/ king bed and adjacent sitting area. This turned out great, as after the concert, friends came back to our hotel room for a while, and there was a couch and a place to sit and visit (not on the bed)! The breakfast (included) was fine; one could find what they wanted (healthy, or not so much) and it ran until 1000 a.m. We walked to Budd Bay restaurant (very close) which is right on the water and had good service, food and drink. There were other choices nearby also. Next morning, we walked the marina, admired the boats, boarded the historic tugboat Sandman for a touri (free admission) & walked over to Capitol Lake. Convenient, clean and quiet. Perfect!

Older hotel that included breakfast buffet. That is not a plus considering the quality of the food. This hotel needs serious renovation based on the age and condition of the rooms. I travel extensively and am used to staying at Marriott properties or various bed and breakfast locations. I stayed in one of the "suites" and compared to my other travel experiences, this would be considered a 2 out of 5 star hotel at best. There are limited options in the Olympia area and for the price paid, this was absolutely not a good value for the money in my opinion. If I return to the area, I will definitely consider ever other possible alternative before returning to this hotel. Hotel personnel were very personable and that was the only plus for my stay.

This is a comfortable hotel. It was quiet, although it seemed to have a lot guests (including a bus load of high school-aged kids), and the bed was way perfect. The staff was polite and efficient and otherwise invisable...which is what I want. Note to staff: turn up the heat on the water heaters and the pool spa. Also, consider better lighting for the pool...it is very unfriendly. And the complimentary breakfast needs some work.

Great central location, right by the water. Staff was friendly, and there were plenty of choices at breakfast. Our room was large and had a separate sitting area.

the room was freezing when we entered and it took 3 hours to get the temperature to normal-someone had turned to lowest heat and maximum cool psoition on the thermostat. strange in January

1/27-29/2012. The pool, hot tub and workout facilities were great. Breakfast was a typical hotel continental breakfast with a few hot items, including waffles and eggs. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check in and check out was efficient and staff was friendly. We will stay here again.

My son had a severe allergic reaction to cookies that were sitting on a tray on a table in the lobby. The cookies were not labelled as containing peanuts. If such a label were available, my son would not have eaten a cookie. We ended up visiting the hospital for a preventable cause.
