WISP RESORT - מק'הנרי

The convenience of the Ski Wisp Resort can't be beat. Ski lockers just by a door that brings you to the ski lifts. The rooms are pricey for what you get; this place is old. But the staff were very accommodating: they helped us move to another room when the heat in our first room wasn't working; and allowed us a late checkout so that I could ski in the morning. The rooms are reasonably clean. The mid-week ski specials are very reasonable. A very nice indoor pool with a lap lane, and a hot tub.

When I selected this place I wasn't aware that it was a ski resort, and growing up in Utah and skiing the greatest snow on earth it made me a bit homesick. The rooms were clean and the bartender was great. I'll have to plan another visit during the ski season to see how it compares to the resorts I grew up at.

First, I'd like to say that every staff person I encountered was friendly and the outside grounds were well maintained. In my opinion, the one bedroon queen suite with murphy bed I reserved was cramped and dimly lit. The bedroom did not have window so I considered pulling down the murphy bed in the living room because that room had the only window in the entire suite. The living room was so small that when the murphy bed was pulled down it filled the room so much that the only way to exit the small living room was to climb over the bed. In addition, the suite needed to be aired out. It had that stuffy, dusty, musty odor and feel. The shower has some mold growing along the edges. After about 10 minutes in the room I went to the front desk to cancel my reservation for the next night I'd booked. I decided to go home early rather than stay there. The staff was pleasant and agreed to refund my money, but because I had booked through hotels.com, my refund had to come from them. I was able to receive that refund, but later I was charged an additional "agent fee" that I wasn' t previously aware of. Probably for the cancellation. Only in an emergency would I ever stay here again.

Wonderful resort, will gladly stay there again.

This was my first visit to Deep Creek and I was very pleased with Wisp. Would definitely stay again in either the King or Queen suite.

Friendly and fun but room and hotel a bit musty smell and definitely due for modernization

Only thing I didn't like about my room is that it had a huge old pull down bed entertainment center in the living room. They should switch to sofa beds.

VERY UPSET HOTEL SHOWED INDOOR POOL AND HOT TUB. THESE WERE NOT USABLE POOL WAS EMPTY AND ALSO HOT TUB!

The room was clean, but front desk staff (3 different) were simply UNFRIENDLY and a maintenance man who we asked for directions was downright rude!!!!! Gentleman in the fishing store who I asked for information was very friendly. Staff at the Outdoor Adventure area were professional AND friendly. I would recommend the resort but would NOT recommend the hotel. TV in room was 19", and counter in bathroom was falling off the wall.

Very nice resort area--lots of activities available.

Great rate, great location, friendly service, plenty of amenities. The carpeting in the room appeared a bit worn but the room was otherwise in decent condition. I would stay there again.

Not recommended due to cleanliness and low service level.
