Hotel Magna 365 (Coming Soon Sheraton) - סנטו דומינגו

I love the hotel, Because I am a member Starwood elite for Sheraton hotel's i was upgrade to two beds. Plus I was not they gave me WIFI free. When I go back to Santo Domingo Will be staying at the same hotel.

overall a good nice hotel, beautiful rooms, very clean, nice personnel, Only thing I didn't like was the fact that you couldn't get a free glass of water in your room. I understand if they charge you for a soda, an alcoholic drink, or some crakers in the minibar, or if you order room service, BUT WATER, really? can't the hotel spare a bottle of water or two, per guest?

In order to get to your hotel room you need to go through the man outside the elevator. I stayed at this hotel on April 27, 2013. When I first attempted to get into the elevator, he moved his arms signaling to come to him, instead of him coming to me. He made me feel like I was an employee there or maybe he thought I was staying there for free. I have stayed at many hotels all over the world, but I guess this hotel being in the Dominican Republic, hotel employees there do not have much training or they just do not konw how to treat others.

Staff was very nice and proffesional rooms were really nice and clean valet parking is free which is a plus

The hotel was ok. It is currently under renovation so you have to got to the Marriott to use their gym and pool. The appearance is very clean and nice. The food is ok also.

The Bathtub was clog up; very disappointed for the price of this Hotel.

When I booked this hotel, there was no notice that they would be under construction. I was rudely woken up by the sound of loud power drills and hammers right under me every morning. I tried to let it go, but by the second day the construction workers kept working until 10pm when I was ready to call it a night. I called the manager to notify them of the issue and how my whole stay at the hotel was a bad experience due to the loud noises. I was offered the option to move to another room, but that would have been another inconvenience because I was already in the bed trying to sleep. To make a long story short, do not stay at this hotel if you are used to staying at hotels that value the customer experience and will reimburse you bad experiences due to their part. A simple apology is all you will get and then you will awake to the same issue again the next morning... They do not care about retaining clients!

This hotel was under remodeling . Pool and gym closed . I wish I knew that at the time of booking. In their defense, they had an agreement with hotel next door to make us feel welcome and use their facilities . The security in this hotel is an A plus.

Great hotel, but AVOID the dinner buffet! Its a scam! Very expensive, and food is so so. You are better off eating at one of the many great restaurants in the area...

I did really enjoy the stay there, very clean, nice location, near the walk away sea and the surround. The personal is very helpful and kind. Worth the price ! ! !

The pool was out of services..... This hotel is in a great location really good clean hotel. The room it was wide about spaces n the bathroom good too. Nice decoration in the loobby and at the room , need better a new decoration. Is April and is already really hot the wheather no pool at all, I can't imagine in the summer without pool. One more thing they need a least complimentary "Breakfast"always is atractive in Dominican Republic. Others hotel lower class next to the Magna they have a "Good and Healthy " complimentary breakfast.....

I walked in one night at 2am, and there was no security or hotel personnel to be seen at all. No one! Not at the desk, not anywhere visible in the lobby. This is a high crime are, so needless to say, that was very disconcerting. Also, the pool and gym are undergoing repairs, so not having those facilities was very frustrating. The Hotels.com website should have a note about repairs in this hotel so people won't loose their money thinking they're going to a fun and relaxing place.

My only problem was while visiting with my fiance & friends I could Not have my friends visit with me

Horrible, no swiming pool, no gym, expensive breakfast it use to be included in the price. No wify

No gym, you have to pay extra for Internet $9.00 for 24 hour, the room smell very bad, water cost $4.00 per bottle, I have to get pay to stay here again.

It was OK staying a few nights, but very disappointed when you could not use the pool. In internet you didn´t mention anything aboat the renewgin of the hotel. We did stay for one extra night and the cleaning lady came at 5 o´clock pm !!

Good price, great location, hotel looks very nice, great service, but no free internet access.

Liked the hotel location, very close to sightseeing locations. The hotel itself is very nice and the service is top notch. My only complaint is that they charge extra for internet, even to use wifi at the lobby.

Cleanliness was great. Wireless services was not so good. Wireless services should be included in the cost. Confort of the room and the beds great.

They charge for everything apart most hotels give it for free like internet access, this people would charge you even for paper sheet that you use to print something

I will not stay again.

Every time, I feel the service of employee is very poor. In the restaurante of 1st floor, when I seat near the window side,the employees do not even watch the clients. So, I have to go to the employees to ask something. Last week, the front desk did not check my credit card & the employee of restaurant bothered me during I have breakfast. I will not visit Hotel Melia any more. Your service level is like that of cheap motel.

I have stayed at other hotels in the area but this is the best.

The Melia is very nice , close to other Hotels with Casinos. The noise from smokers outside the casinos was the only problem. The pool and Gym are small, but have very nice attendants. Minor thing: the only hotel in the world that has only one coffee package for your whole stay; with a coffee maker in the room that is silly cheap

The hotel staff was not friendly at all. They were condescending and very rude. I will not stay here again. I was disappointed to be treated this way.

I got a good experience

This is a great atmosphere hotel worth every penny I spent,Food was excellence with great attentive staff.

- Unfriendly staff : They just try to upsell Ex : Ask for a place to eat : They recommend you to eat in the hotel because everything else is expensive outside. They got to be kidding. - PAID Internet in the room RARELY works. When asked they said i can use the business room. Come down to the lobby and ask for business room same person says sorry we are closed on SUNDAYs. I asked if they can print my boarding pass. Sorry we are closed on SUNDAYs:( - THIS ONE TOPS : My friend's aunt (lives 30 mins away) came to pick us up for the airport. Since it was raining she got a little wet (she street parked : bad idea:( ), we thought we can let her use our room to clean up. The front desk asks for $50 to let a 50+ year old woman since it is past 7 PM:) inspite of knowing the fact that we are checking out in next 1 hour:( I thought of asking for a SUGGESTION BOX : I am sure they would have charged $100 for that:):)
