Perfect small hotel near restaurants, shopping, and sights!

I love staying here for several reasons. The most important one being their level of service. Staff is friendly and attentive. Hotel standards are exemplary. It is conveniently located in the heart of everyone, with easy access to anywhere in L.A. Looking forward to next year's stay.

excellent staff and very attentive the happy hour has a bonus by being attended to by friendly staff. this is my third year staying at this small and friendly hotel in a great area

Everything was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and I loved the happy hour cheese and wine.

The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfasts had a good selection of food and seemed fresh. Good wine and cheese in late afternoon.

Room was a little small, but it was clean and the location of the hotel was good. Paying for their parking is not worth it as street parking is totally doable.

Stuck me in a extremely small room in the interior first floor. Very loud and no cell service

Best value at excellent price in this location. Complimentary breakfast, internet and evening wine and cheese a big plus. Would highly recommend it.

The hotel was a great location for us as we were visiting our daughter. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The room was very nice, but quite small with no easy chairs. Other than that, we were very happy with The Elan!

My stay was perfectly nice and I have no complaints. Unfortunately, I thought the hotel looked nicer online than it did in person. There is free internet, breakfast and a wine and cheese happy hour in the lobby. All good perks to staying there!

Beautiful boutique hotel. After staying at the Anaheim Hilton, we really liked the more intimate feel of the Elan. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Complementary continental breakfast and wine tasting was a plus. Not a big fan of valet parking....

I booked this hotel based on the high ratings it had received. To be quite honest, the staff is friendly, the bellmen in particular very eager, but this place felt to me like a glorified motel. Very disappointing.

The convenience of the hotel to our intended destination was excellent. When we arrived at the hotel however, we had a hard time finding the valet and had to go inside the hotel to get service. Our room was very small and we were glad that we didn't have to stay in it for very long. Otherwise, our experience was good.

Nice hotel small but cute. Great location. Loads of things to do. You must valet your car though and make life easy on yourself .

Close to Beverly Centre, plus small outlet mall. Good breakfast selection.

Every thing that people raved about and nothing I saw that was particularly exceptional or over the top...Great....Decent, high priced hotel.

The Hotel Elan appears to have been an older, simpler motel that was renovated and remodeled into a really nice boutique hotel. The staff members were friendly and helpful. My room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The small foyer was a comfortable, friendly place to read the paper, watch TV, or talk with other guests. The continental breakfast was great (really good croissants, granola, coffee, etc.) I didn't have the afternoon wine and cheese but this looked appetizing also. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from Beverly Hills, Hollywood or West Hollywood, and the Melrose district. I would definitely return to this hotel. I would suggest using the Valet parking (under the building). Although there is ample street parking, the spaces are metered every day with a 2 hour maximum and a ticket costs $62.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The staff was very friendly and there were lots of restaurants in walking distance. The beds were a little hard. The continental breakfast was great.

Loved this hotel! Its right in the middle of everything! Hollywood and Beverly hills is seconds away and malibu and venice beach are only 10 min at most! It was a little pricey and they could do away with the twenty four dollar a day valet service which you have to do because there is no where else to park. They do offer the typical continental breakfast with your stay which can save alot on going out to breakfast if a bagel and coffee or orange juice and a danish are good enough for a light breakfast! Rooms arent huge but clean and newly redone! Would definately stay again! Totally recommend it!

Beautifully maintained hotel very modern. A bit of a distance from major tourist sites but I found cabs a reasonable method of transport - as long as you ko which way your going, they have no sense of direction :)

Very nice staff. Was upgraded to a huge suite. Not modern or new, but for the price and neighborhood, this was a great choose. Basic and clean, with good channel selection on the flat screen.

The staff members were eager to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible, always asking what else they could do to assist us. This included an enthusiastic affirmative response to the unusual request of a cup of hot milk at 2:00 a.m. The hotel is near many important L.A. spots, close to West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The Beverly Center is within walking distance. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very well located. Very convinient for shopping since there is a huge shoping mall at a short walkingn distance. This is a three star hotel that is a five stars one just because of the quality of their service. Everybody from the bellboy who receives you at the door to the front desk are always willing to help and meet and exceed expectations. The room was big enough and comfortable. Breakfast included, basic, self service but nicely arranged. Internet access in the room and a small business center downstairs. The front desk counts on the networking to provide all the services. We highly recommended it.

Great service, everyone at the hotel was absolutely fantastic and helpful. The property itself is not fantastic, but I wasn't really expecting much from it. The continental breakfast was very decent and was actually surprised by the quality. The only complaint is that the room was tiny and the inner courtyard was simply a few trees - nothing impressive at all. If I got a good deal I would stay here again.

Very Nice Hotel, Staff was Very accomodating. Room was a little small, and the cost of parking was too high. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.

Good service good breakfast nice evening cheese/drinks close to good shopping at al llevels, east to walk to Melrose etc

Hotel is walking distance to Beverly Center. Really liked the cheese & wine hour. Free parking was a challenge.

Service very friendly. Location is excellent. Decor is sort of 3-star Austria meets 1980's Boston. Bed was hard as rock. Hotel very clean and everything worked. They ought to learn how to hard boil eggs so that you can actually peel the shell off without destroying half the egg. I probably wouldn't go back...you can do better but for the price the value was basically good...I'm pickier than some.

Great hotel in a great location. We were able to go shopping right across the street and we were not that far from West Hollywood where we wanted to go for the night. Loved the wine/cheese hour, the high-def mirror in the bathroom, the free wi-fi and the iHome alarm clock. Room and bathroom were clean and front desk staff was really friendly. Would certainly stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We felt safe. We were so thankful when we needed to stay an extra night and you could accomodate us. I would highly recommend the Elan.

This is a great hotel, well appointed with tiny, European-style hotel rooms. The staff and decor are wonderful, but if you plan to spend any time in the room, just hope that you and your partner are tiny, European or Asian-style people. Otherwise many things could go "bump" in the night.
