Larkspur Landing Hillsboro - An All-Suite Hotel - הילסבורו

There was a repair need revealed along the bathroom cabinet, and another along bedroom wall, but overall I was very pleased with condition, amenities, and service. Worth the $30 more than a bare-bones hotel.

Over Priced

The hotel itself was very nice, and the service was excellent. The only negative regarding the room/furnishings was the office chair--peeling vinyl upholstery. For the price and style of hotel, I would expect a more complete breakfast offering.

House keeping was somehow lousy...they didn't supply or change new towel/ bed sheets every day. Normally we tip $4 per day. One day we ran out of cash and the front desk had no changes at all so we could only tip $3. When we returned, one bed was not made and bathroom towels were not neatly placed. We reported the vent fan didn't work in our room....7 days passed, no body came to repair....Jacuzzi was not working...it's not a bad hotel though....but I feel they could have done better to make their customers feel more warm and helpful.

Room is a little bit outdated but clean and comfortable enough. No full welcome basket while checking in the room. This makes my son disappointed. Housekeeping is somehow stingy to supply room tea bags, bathroom amenities...the breakfast is average, no hot oatmeal, no hot items, but you can feel they're working hard to provide alternatives each morning. Overall, it is comfortable for long stay which can satisfy most of basic needs. But no fancy or outstanding service ( e.g. You need to come down to the front desk for tissues and soap when it's running out. No one can deliver them to you.)

Should I need to stay in the area again it would be my choice. Although the location and the hotel to be quite satisfactory, I noticed the suite bathroom was not handicapped accessible. Specifically the bathroom door was quite wide enough, but I defy anyone in a wheel chair to get passed the door to the toilet.

Rooms are starting to show their age. Desk chair was falling apart, bathroom light emitted a loud buzz. But other than that the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast provided was just adequate. Laundry facilities are nice to have and free. Hotel staff is friendly and the room was quiet. Chocolate chip cookies at the front desk are fresh out of the oven and great. Location is great if you're visiting Intel or something close by but there are no shops or restaurants in walking distance. Overall for the price it is not bad. I'm sure I'll wind up staying there again.

I visit my daughter at Christmas and have stayed at their Folsom property as well as the one in Hillsboro. The hotel is nicely designed, good amenities, adequate free breakfast and great staff. Location in the heart of the Silicone Forest is in close proximity to numerous tech firms and is convenient to roadways. The area is quiet and apparently quite safe. Rooms are spotless and the equipped kitchenette is a great bonus. Look forward to staying here on my next trip to Hillsboro.

Had a wonderful stay, the staff was very friendly and even helped us try to open our bottle of wine as the corkscrews that are put into the rooms, broke off into the cork! So that would be my only complaint. The Hotel didn't have any other cork screws and even tried one theirselves and it broke off as well. So my only suggestion is to purchase nice corkscrews to go into the suites that are not going to break inside a wine cork ;)

We like that it is close to Forest Grove which has very few hotels. We have stayed in Larkspur Landings before and like the brand. The price has been very reasonable for the quality. The one bedroom suite was very large and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the kitchen with full sized refrigerator. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is industrial, but with nice sidewalks lining grass and tree-lined streets. It is close to Intel and the Hillsboro Airport. Restaurants and shopping are only a few minutes drive away.

People were nice. The room really wasn't an Executive Suite. Breakfast left much to be desired.

Nice place, nice folks...the rooms are nice, a little old looking, could update the bathrooms. Nice touch with a cookie at night. The breakfast was ok, but they did not restock well, and the 'specials' are strange...there was an egg wrap, but no sign or description of what was in it...they had french toast, but no maple syrup...

Unfortunately, we were first put on the 4th floor which we learned had been used for smoking up until a month or so ago; this was immediately obvious to us, and unacceptable for obvious reasons, as well as, my daughter's asthma. We were moved to the 2nd floor. My negative scores are due to the STRONG old cooking smells embedded in the room from seemingly months and months of spicy cooking.

I was not impressed. The online listings and photos did not match the building. The fireplace was only a tiny thing in the motel lobby. The room we we were assigned was a very small double bed in an alcove off a much larger kitchen area. With the large desk, there was no space to walk or entertain, much less manuever a wheelchair (the room was designated handicapped accessible). Luckily we stayed just 2 nights as the 3drawers in the dresser and tiny filled closet were not adequate for either one of us to unpack.

Larkspur Landing Hillsboro is okay. All reviews have to be normalized according to price and this hotel delivers above average value for the price. We chose this hotel because those closer to downtown Portland were out of our price range and you have to pay for many extras like parking, breakfast, WiFi. Here you have to commute, but the MAX line station (Orenco) is 3 min drive with regular trains downtown. Park and ride is free at the station. Day pass is $5 (equivalent to return ticket), and you can use it all day, on all forms of transit, which is a bonus for getting around. Now the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast not great but takes the edge off the overnight fast. Coffee remarkably good. Only drawback is the person above us was a heavy footed and we could hear every footfall. Ask for the top floor if you can. Went to the Cornelius Pass Road House for a beer and food. Thundercone ale was outstanding.

Hotel was very good, but located in a business park area. There were no restaurants close by and none were offered.

The hotel is nice. The rooms have enough space, a cozy bed, work table, couch, iPhone charger dock, LCD TV, refrigerator, microwave, electric oven, dishwasher and internet access. The bathroom was clean. However, the breakfast service was poor. Coffee was cold, so were the boiled eggs and things were not replenished frequently. We were told at the front desk that breakfast is provided from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM but when I reached at 9:20 AM, the breakfast table was already clean and I had to be content with a cup of coffee. Overall, it was a good enough deal for the price I paid.

I booked two executive rooms with separate bedrooms for my family of six. The king size bed was very comfortable and there were a lot of pillows. The room also came with a sofa bed which was convenient for us as well as the kitchen. We arrived about 10pm and there was free coffee, decaf and tea, which seems to be available all day. We booked here because of the kitchen in the room (and the price we got from hotels.com)but there was also free breakfast. It was good enough. There was a different breakfast each morning like mainly muffins or waffles, with the usual bread, cereal and fruit. The free laundry facilties in the hotel came in handy when we decided to stay an extra night, and we only packed for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would've given it 5, but the kitchen could be updated and an extractor fan added to the bathroom. It is a quiet neighbourhood (which was ok for us) as we went on the Labor day weekend and it is situated in a business district. Intel is opposite to the entrance of the hotel. It is about 20 mins from the International Test Rose Garden, so a car is needed. All said we would book here again.

We stayed here on the weekend and it is an upscale hotel with a great value on the weekend.

The staff was awesome. Good value. Descent breakfast. Dog friendly. Very happy.

Nice open room layout with kitchenette. Staff was very friendly. The complementry breakfast room was tight and access to the minimal food servings was not well layed out. The entire lobby and common area was poorly designed. But then again, I am an arachitect and flow of space is something I am really critical of.

My compliments to the hotel staff. Front desk staff were friendly, professional and very helpful.

The room was spacious. They were out of coffee for the room. The "breakfast was definitely sub-par; muffins, cold cereal, boiled eggs, and toast.

Having read all the good reviews for this hotel, I decided to book our reservation here. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed upon arrival. The lobby was difficult to get through with luggage and the doors were not automatic. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you have a few bags to bring in, its just kind of a pain. The entryway is small and you have to maneuver your luggage around a table and chairs in order to get around the corner to the reception desk. The rooms look nothing like the pictures shown on the internet, pretty outdated. Our heat/air conditioning unit did not seem to work properly. I don't think it was a case of operator error, since I have an identical heating/cooling unit in my business. Overall the hotel was decent, but I expected better conditions due to the price of the room.

Great location near the airport, and stands out from all the one-size fits all big name hotels. Roomy. Warm. Friendly. Good value. Would have liked bathrobes, which most hotels are now providing.

The suite is well equipped including a dishwasher and utensils like a corc screw. Flat screen TV and DVD player work well.The Wireless Internet Access is reasonably fast (1MbS up and down) and works without interruptions. The hotel is clean and the staff is welcoming. Do not expect a scenic view.

The hotel staff are helpful and pleasant. The room excellent with a large desk to work at and a great flat screen TV. The bed is very comfortable. Very quiet location.

Stayed one night for softball tournament at local fields. Was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Front desk help was very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel. Little out of way from Portland city proper. Breakfast was a little crowded. They need a bigger area there.

Loved location. Great places to walk dog, quiet, near excellent restaurants, convinient to Fwy and airport. Nice breakfast; Friendly service; great rate.

Stayed here one night. The room was decent. This is a place where most of the guests are visiting Intel. It's not a bad place but, for the price, it is too average and does nothing to set itself apart from competitors in this price range. Bathroom had no exhaust fan and the effects were evident on the bottom of the counter and on the bottom of the bathroom wallpaper. Was led to believe I had a separate living area and bedroom but it is all combined. The "breakfast" and "Breakfast Room" were a joke. It is such a tiny area and only one person can be at the counter getting breakfast at a time. Would have been faster and better off to have gone to Denny's. Maybe these people should view how some of their cheaper competition do it, like Red Lion. I called the hotel direct and asked what if I go to hotels.com will you match. The answer, "No way." So I went to hotels.com to price match and got the room for a lot less. Way to go hotels.com.

My husband and I have greatly enjoyed our stays at the Larkspur Landing in Hillsboro Oregon. It is quiet, very comfortable and the staff was very accomidating. We will be staying here a lot in the future!

First off, I have to say that this hotel staff is some of the nicest around. They were always pleasant and friendly and helpful. That was wonderful. The room was okay. The finishes were older, and the cabinetry was really cheap. The carpet in the hallways was old and needed replaced. I was really expecting something nicer (newer) for the amount that I was paying per night (and not in a downtown area). The breakfast was REALLY LACKING. Some pastries, pre-packaged cereal, cold hard-boiled eggs, and expired milk (i didn't think to look and then drank some sour milk, that was unpleasant) was about all they had to offer. It's a decent enough place and I guess the amenities (grocery shopping, etc, that I didn't use) would be nice. But all in all, it was about on par with a comfort inn, but much more expensive.

The hotel is fairly nice. The rooms are good sized, but a little dated. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It said hot breakfast, but I guess that is only if you toast your bagel. They also were out of several items including napkins, plates and some of the breakfast items. The place is great for business travelers, but there isn't much around the hotel besides industry.

...that's it. No pool, no close by convenience stores, nothing within walking distance; in a busines park. Safe, but boring.

Overall this was a nice hotel-the price is right! The only complaint we have is that the beds were hard. Everyone in our group (4 couples) complained about their beds. So, I guess if you prefer a firmer matress and the hotel is in the right location, then I guess the Larkspur would be a good choice for you.

the room couldn't have been more comfortable, best nights sleep all week. Only problem was getting out of the cosy bed the next morning!!
