CASTLE ON THE HUDSON - טאריטאון

A nice building, set in nice grounds. The reception staff were amongst the worst I have come across. The restaurant, bar and room service menus amount to seven menus - no real need as they are all the same. Fine if you are staying one night but not for longer stays. The restaurant food is over complicated and a chef that feels the more ingrediants in a dish the better. Example: breakfast I ordered fried eggs and bacon. On the plate came fried eggs,bacon,strawberries,rasberries,melon what a mix. Will not stay here gain

My daughter and I had a lovely stay here. She is attending Cornell's MBA program so we shall be back. Both our dinner and the service were great.

We enjoyed the atmosphere. The kids,9 & 10 year olds, had fun, along with us two parents at the pool.Poolside decor and waterfall are beautiful. Amanda the lifeguard and all the staff were friendly and professional. It takes alittle getting use to having our car valet parked throughout our stay.

While $60 or $70 dollars a day more than a Sheraton or Marriot, very much worth it. Standard room was gigantic with two seemingly king size beds, dressing room, two bathroom sinks, full closet, nice desk, free internet, free NY Times. A beautiful heated pool with luncheon and bar separate from the hotel, beautiful grounds, in a castle on top of a mountain. Service was superb.

We had an absolutlely wonderful time. You wouldn't know that you are in Westchester County or near New York City - it was a true "getaway" - can't wait until we can go back or take some friends for dinner. Food was excellent !!!

I took my 2 grown daughters and my 19 month old grand daughter and they were all blown away with this beautiful castle and the grounds were to die for. My granddaughter keep saying wow wow. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Can't wait to go back....

This Hotel is awesome! Very good staff, great location, excellent restaurant and food, comfortable room, nice swimming pool. I will certainly stay here again.

Would stay again at Castle on the Hudson. The room was very nice, large and clean, and the staff was friendly. The Castle itself is beautiful and conveniently located.

In Tarrytown, close to Marriot and Sheraton but worlds apart. Why doesn't everyone stay here? They just haven't discovered it yet. Very popular on weekends but great value during the week. Have a feast at the best restaurant in town (and surrounding towns), have a second glass of wine, then just walk down the hall to bed. When you wake up the next morning, you'll feel like you're on top of the world (not just a mountain overlooking the Hudson) and your day should go well. Don't forget to tip the valet when he brings up your car.

Great place to stay and to Dine

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Our room was nice, but it needed a few repairs (broken sink had been repaired not replaced and had a large crack in it). The pool was nice, but we had to get out early because they had a private party their. We weren't told about the party until we got down to the pool, even though I called ahead to the front desk. There are many less expensive places in town if you aren't looking for a high end hotel.

Upon arrival the valet staff took 10 minutes to come and check in our car and we unloaded our own luggage. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The hotel is very clean and rooms are very well appointed with comfortable bedding. Property is beautiful; however the pool closed extremely early due to a wedding, which was disappointing to our children.

Hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating. The grounds were well equipped with a lovely pool, tennis court, and a fitness trail. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped and the 2nd sink/mirror outside the bathroom was very welcome when trying to get ready in the morning. The restaurant, Equus, was excellent!!! Overall, a wonderful stay and a hotel worth returning to.
