Room was a nice size. The hotel is not in the center of town, however, my daughter and I easily walked to City Center every day for shopping and restaurants. Bring your own pillows and towels if possible...towels are coarse and thin, and pillows are extremely flat. Reception is very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping knocks and walks in without giving you time to answer. Enjoyed the Northern Lights with the two tours we took (one by bus, other by Jeep). Cold but fun!

*Very clean hotel with very good service.*Downtown from the hotel is around 20 min walking *The hotel was made in the 70's and being Reykjavik a very small city they clearly haven't invest in renewing the hotel in a long time*There is a gas station with a small convenience store(with amazing hot dogs) and a public thermal pool aside the hotel.*The tourism office located in the hotel can help to fix any tour required.

IT'S A VERY BASIC PROPERTY. ROOMS ARE SMALL , FUNISHINGS ARE SHABBY AND WORN OUT.ELEVATORS ARE POORLY MAINTAINED .IN SHORT NO VALUE FOR MONEY.

Booked this because Radisson have a good name. I'm surprised that they are willing to put this hotel in their portfolio. The room was spartan, showing its age and far too hot. To be fair it was scrupulously clean but was far from the treat it was intended to be for my wife's birthday. Breakfast food was cold - I have never had a stone cold fried egg before - and the tables were left uncleared so that it was impossible to find a space to sit down. I must say however that the staff were lovely, helpful, knowledgeable and made it difficult to complain. Not much point though as I guess one room would be much like the others. I liked the location a little outside of town and parking was easy. This hotel needs some serious TLC before I would stay again though.

The Radisson Blu Saga was a disappointment. Based on the cost alone, the hotel should had offered better service, comfort and quality. It did not. The first room we were assigned, the door did not open. I made 3 trips to the reception before they finally came up and looked at it. I was eventually assigned a different room after waiting for several minutes. The hotel did not offer any compensation for this inconvenience. The hotel staff is nice and polite, but they lack customer service. The free wifi internet did not work in my room. I called tech support and they eventually said that it would take a day to fix the access point. No internet for me that night in my room. I was kindly told to go to the lobby. For being a good hotel, they had terrible beds. There were depressions in the mattress and overall very uncomfortable. The reason we chose the hotel was because we expected the beds to be better than the Best Western. Very disappointing. The location is good. 10 min walk to downtown Reykjavik The Grill restaurant on the 8th floor is very expensive and upscale. If you're like me and just want a good steak or pasta, then this is probably not for you. They don't have a wide selection. Overall, I would not recommend the Radisson. I would try the Hilton instead. It is around the same price range.

The hotel had good amenities - we used the free wi fi, free car parking, bedroom safe and tea and coffee facilities. We did not dine in the hotel but the breakfast buffet was the best we experienced during our stay in Iceland (we stayed at a further 4 locations)- in terms of variety and quality. The bedroom was very basic but functional. The shower curtain was too short so that water would flood the bathroom floor (no bath). Lots of hot sulphurous shower water !. The hotel star rating system in Iceland is not equitable to UK ratings. We only had a bedroom view of a traffic island and roads. Despite this, the hotel was well located for the National museum and we could walk to the centre within 20 minutes. Taxi rank sits outside hotel too. Having stayed in several places around Iceland, this hotel would compare well. The staff at reception were helpful and of course most Icelanders spoke perfect English!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is NOT in the City Center although it is a 15 minute walk/short cab ride away. The room was not in perfect condition, we had a cold water issue and a nonworking phone, but all of this was taken care of with a simple phone call. The restaurant hours are strange to me (why close between meals when everyone coming into Iceland will be jetlagged??) and pretty crowded during peak times so we did not eat there really at all. Breakfast was not included in my rate, which I booked directly, so make sure you pay attention to the different rates. What I liked was the very friendly and accommodating staff. The bartender Erol was awesome!!

Older Hotel that could use some repair. The room was average (nice bathroom) and the breakfast buffet was very good. The location is about a fifteen minute walk to the city center. The walk is however very nice. You avoid the noise of the city center at the Saga Radisson. I would give the hotel a 3.5 rating out of 5. Bob from Miami

Friendly staff, good breakfast and excellent spa. The decoration in bedrooms and halls is a bit dated but the reception, bar and resteraunt are very nice. There was a pretty, central firepit thing in the downstairs resteraunt that complements the candles which seem to be all around. Although when you come out of the hotel it seems that you are in the middle of nowhere it is a pleasant 10min walk round the lake (called the pond) into the town centre. But not for those that don't like to walk. We were there in December when they serve a Traditional Icelandic Christmas Buffet in the evening which is delicious and recomended. Breakast buffet is good but don't expect quite an english breakfast. We were more than happy with the variety they had each day and I filled up till mid afternoon every time. Spa is a must as it is very quiet has a really hot steam room and is free to guests.

Radisson Blu Saga er et dejligt hotel og komforten er i top. Restauranten på toppen har fin udsigt og maden og vinene var yderst delikate. Den lille bar ved siden af er også ganske hyggelig, omend lidt for lille, hvis man er flere mennesker. Morgenmaden var ok, men lidt kedelig efter 3 dage, da der ikke var den store udskiftning i udvalget. Beliggenheden er ideel hvis man ønsker at bo lidt uden for centrum. Men med 15 min. gang er man stort set ved de fleste attraktioner.

Frokost er greit, med lunsj eller middag er dårlig.

Viihtyisä, siisti ja palvelualtis hotelli. Aamupala oli hyvä ja palvelu vielä paransi sitä.

Greit hotell, noe slitt. Restauranten på toppen var verdt hele besøket!

Hvis man ser bort fra, at elevatorernes udskiftning var igang - uden henvisning til, at der fandtes andre elevatorer, så var opholdet tilfredsstillende.

Vi ankom sent og ville bare gerne have et værelse. Desværre fik vi ikke det værelse vi havde bestilt så vi måtte vente næsten en time på et andet værelse

især dejligt at der var tænkt på lidt forfriskning da vi skulle rejse meget tidligt mandag morgen og meget søde personale. Restaurentens bufet var dejlig og skøn morgenmad - vi kommer igen

Slitna rum behövs en rejäl renovering! Hittade ölburkar i rummet under sängen i minisvit! Personalen hade registrerat mini bar som de försökte ta betalt för vilket var inkorrekt! Trevlig personal men mycket kvar att önska!

Hotellet gav eit godt og ryddig inntrykk frå fyrste stund, med hyggeleg og imötekomande personale. God service og gode fasilitetar. Grillenrestauranten i toppetasjen må vera ein av dei beste i Norden, men så er då prisnivået i samsvar med det også.

Oppholdet reddet av dyktige og imøtekommende resepsjonister. Det fantes ikke varme på bad, og gardinene blafret godt i trekkfulle vindu. Hotellets restauranter var en stor skuffelse, mat og service var rett og slett elendig. Det ble selvfølgelig avslag på faktura, men det er ikke det man ønsker når man skal hygge seg ute. Frokosten var også langt under våre forventninger til et slikt hotell. Vi vil ikke benytte oss av dette hotellet en annen gang.

After staying at this hotel for 3 nights, I observed that this hotel should be renovated and updated as it was built in the 1960's. The windows in my hotel room were old and in need of replacement. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were not often visible and were slow to refill the buffet and clear the tables. As this is a Radisson hotel, I am disappointed with the service level and the condition of the hotel. I will choose another hotel for my next stay.

Utrolig bra service.. Stort gratis prakeringsplass rundt hele hotellet. Enkelt og finne frem. Nær senstrum og enkelt og komme seg ut av byen også!!

Vi hadde et fint opphold på hotellet. Hotellet tilbød det vi hadde ønsker om som bl.a. møterom og mat.

Vennlig, serviceinnstilt og hjelpsomt personale. Rene rom. God frokost med nok å velge mellom. Det eneste negative var at trådløst internett ikke virket i det hele tatt i løpet av de 4 dagene vi bodde der.

I was at the hotel on a conference in september/october 2012, but also brougth my wife and three children to stay a few days extra. The staff made us feel welcome from arrival to departure and met all our questions with smiles and helpfulness. The cleaning was good and the conference facilities excellent (airy rooms with comfortable chairs). The rooms are well sized and equipped, and the breakfast offers a wide range of choises. With three children we chose two rooms with a door between. The location is excellent if you have a car and wants to look around. The roads are good, the hotell easy to find and the free parking lane is large. At the same time the walk to the City Hall and restaurant and shopping street, takes no more than 10 minutes. In addition, the hotell has its own tourist information, minibank, souvenirs shop and of course free internet. If there is one element wich pulls down, it is that the rooms are not shining new any longer. Anyway, next time in Iceland we will certainly use this hotell again.

Ualmindeligt sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Oplevede total kaos omkring morgenmaden en af dagene, det meste var tømt af mad, bordene ikke ryddet, det virkede, som om at der manglede overblik. men der var også mange mennesker den dag. Savnede at der var rundstykker, mest på grund af franskbrødet, som blev berørt af mange mennesker, når man selv skal skære det.

Hotellet var veldig bra. Men, hver dag vi kom ned til frokost var alle bordene i restauranten skitne. Vi måtte rydde bord selv for å få plass, og det var ikke halvfullt i restauranten. De som jobbet i restauranten så ut som om de bare gikk rundt i sirkel og ikke visste hva de skulle gjøre. Dette skjedde hver morgen i løpet av 3 netter! Desverre er det dette vi husker best.

Convient parfaitement pour un séjour à Reykjavik, et bon rapport qualité/prix compte tenu de la ville et de ses hôtels hors de prix. Pas idéalement bien placé, loin du centre mais proche de la gare de bus, Petit déjeuner excellent. Bons équipements. Agencement assez bizarre du rez de chaussé de l'hôtel.
