Blue Sky Lodge - כרמל ואלי

We really enjoyed this place. No microwave or fridge in room but for just15 extra dollars per night you can get access to a fully loaded kitchenette! Also., the lobby has some great antiques and old books and magazines. The pool and spa are spotless. Two very nice kitties live there, too.

Nice hot top with views. The rooms are confortable and 60's but the landscape surrounding amazing

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We were sore for several days after. The heater system is very outdated and difficult to find a comfortable temperature. The location was fine and the room was clean.

poor service (no food/beverage supply at all), aging facilities in the room, even worse, the water from the shower in the bath room is too weak to do a normal shower.

The best thing about this room was the size and the location. It is an old property but it is still very comfortable. We used the pool and the spa and slept well in the comfy, soft beds. It is good for families and people who are looking for a lodge-like feel. The owners were very nice. The lodge has a family feel.

It was as good as good It could get on my anniversary trip. The hotel is located right in the heart of Carmel valley. The room rates are economical. Staffs are very helpful. Rooms are well maintained.

I didn´t like, that there was no hairdryer in the bathroom and we dind´t get a brakfast in the morning.

The Blue Sky Lodge is fantastic! Our family had a great time. The hotel and landscaping is beautiful, and from the moment we got there until the moment we left the staff and accomodations at The Blue Sky were first-rate, We had a great suite, with plenty of room for my family. The family was thrilled to have access to a beautiful pool, library, ping pong table, and more. The location was great, very close to markets, restaurants, parks, and freeways. They even brought us a morning paper! It was a charming place, a breath of fresh air, to stay in a place like this. If we ever come back to the area this is where we are staying.

We were in town for a wedding and this hotel was just about perfect. Great location near the village of Carmel Valley, about 20 minutes from central Carmel and the coast. I don't know if it's just retro or retro chic, but either way it was quiet, clean, great pool and communal space with very sweet, helpful owners.

I was satisfied but my wife thought it was too old.I told her it was a two star but she wasn't happy.Considering the expensive alternatives I was happy

The grounds were beautiful, the staff nice. It's tucked way back, so know that it will be about a 20 minute car ride to more civilization. My only complaint? Their pillows are awful! We could not get comfortable at all. The decor is a little dated, but that doesn't usually faze me. If you like things a bit more rustic, country, and old fashioned this is the perfect romantic getaway. Just bring your own pillow!

The property is nice, in a beautiful area, but it is so outdated. If you don't care about having a modern place to stay, then it is great, but otherwise, it is in desperate need of updating and renovation. Kind of like using a time machine back to the '70s when you step into the room. Grounds, pool and library are awesome though, and staff is friendly.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Blue Sky Lodge for a weekend during the Monterrey Jazz Festival. We stayed in a suite as it was the last available and our rooms where like a time capsule from the 60's. Shag carpet, a harvest gold refrigerator, and an ashtray in every room. Great quiet location close to Carmel valley village. The only challenge was that the room smelled like cigarettes. A little gross but in line with the period theme.

Like stepping back in time. A quiet, simple, clean setting with two friendly cats and old fashioned charm.

This was my first time in Carmel Valley, and the Blue Sky Lodge was the perfect place to stay. They allowed my dog to stay with me in one of their suites on Via Contenta. It is true that furnishings, etc. are outdated, but that is really insignificant if you step outside and see the hills, the meadows, trees, vineyards, etc. of Carmel Valley. And the sun was always shining, with the temp. in the mid 70's. Most hotels I have stayed at are so crowded or stuffy. I was recently at a luxurious place in San Francisco where I was up on the 9th floor and not a pocket of fresh air to be found (it's like the hotel wanted us to have that trapped in feeling). Blue Sky offers spacious rooms with windows that open, sliding glass doors that let in cool breezes and country fresh air, and a peace and quiet which is conducive to the most peaceful of vacations! Most of all, thank you to the owners and staff, who are friendly and caring people. I have now found a new favorite for no-stress and happy vacations!

It would be a nice Hotel, if they would put more efford in maintaining everything. Lot of bugs in the hotel room. Nice Stuff Nice Pool Everything should be maintained better.

The lodge had a beautiful spot nesteled in the quiant village of Carmel Valley. Would easily recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and buslte of the city. Could use a small refridgerator but otherwise-just perfect.........

I slept comfortably on clean sheets and saved a lot of money in the process. The carpet was stain and stick free, the bathroom was clean, the closet had ample room with a door, and the TV was digital with the basic cable package. I prefer to spend less money than more per night when a least expensive room is equipped with the basics. We had two comfortable queen beds, a private patio, endless coffee to brew, and beautiful trees to give us privacy and the feeling that we were away. My bottom line is this: When I am in Carmel, most of my time is spent outdoors, so the interior of a room does not have to be newly remodeled with the most modern furnishings. Clean, pleasant, and comfortable does the job every time.

Nice clean spacious rooms. Beautiful Green surrounding. Only problem is lots of tree worms everywhere.

Blue sky loge är som tidigare beskrivits som en tidsmaskin. Man kliver in i ett avsnitt av "That 70's show" men på ett bra sätt! Ägarinnan är fantastiskt varm och trevlig och det känns som att komma till en gammal faster på besök. Rummen är gamla men inte slitna. En härlig kontrast mot opersonliga moderna bjässar. Tips är en härlig saloon precis nedanför hotellet med underbar inredning och god mat till billig pris.

It's really big and confortable to stay and very quiet. It's suit for family tour to stay. Only one thing is not convenience is they donot provide hair dryer.
