Blue Rock Resort - South Yarmouth

If you are not a golfer there really isn't much reason to stay at this location. Reminded me of a late 70's motel.

Well run. Nice breakfast. Convenient location, value, and great amenities at oceanfront sister hotels. Will return.

wonderful grounds, fun golf course, food in rest. was only average

Great hotel, clean and very serene. Nice pool and restaurant right there. Hotel staff helpful and respectful. Tennis court and equipment for use right on premises. Best part, sharing of othe facilities in this chain which were right on the beach. They provided and set up umbrellas and beach chairs and other pools at these resorts were part of the package as well as providing as many towels as needed on the beach and pool. Volleyball nets on the beach in place and many acitivites and entertainment provided. Other 3 restorts were just a short drive. More thatn your money's worth. May not be ultra modern and fancy but is clean and has everything plus for a great Cape Cod stay. Would highly recommend. (PS bath tubs well maintained, as I have seen poorly maintained tubs in so called more upscale hotels.) Give this a +++++ rating

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous golf course and great breakfasts! Rooms ok, double beds on the small side . Great balcony overlooking golf course! Easy drive to anywhere on the Cape. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were beautiful. (we had 2 rooms). The pool was gorgeous. Staff were professional and courteous. Womderful restaurant on grounds with delicious foods. Definately plan to stay there again next year for longer amount of time!

My sister, mother and myself recently stayed at the Blue Rock Resort to visit family in the area. It is situated on a golf course which is nice. Our garden view room was of a tree with impatients around it. We were on the second floor, it's dated. My elderly mother's back was sore when she woke up. They do not have hair conditioner, (always like to have good products in room) the lounge closes at 7:30. It was hard to find in the dark. I see this as a one night place, not near beaches, it's more of a motel feel than a resort. No HBO. Plenty of parking for truckers who want to park there and play a round of golf and stay overnight. It's also great for a stopover for tour buses.

The golf course was the best. The area is also convenient to other activities. The room was OK. I would have rathered being in the upper level. Overall the place was nice.

Hotel was better than expected and would definitely recommend and stay there again.

For the most part this place is a good value for the money. It's nothing special, but the rooms are clean, there's a well-maintained outdoor pool, and the staff are pleasant. It would have been nice if the patio furniture had been cleaned and if the room had better lighting. But the real deal-breaker is the beds. We only stayed for two nights but we had a terrible night's sleep both nights. It made us pine for our beat-up falling-apart ten-year-old mattress at home. That's the main reason that we won't stay here again and the main reason that I can't in good conscience recommend the place to anyone - unless they enjoy sleeping on a lightly upholstered slab of granite.

My feeling is this was about the same as staying at a HOJOS but with a few extra 000's on the end. You could not sit on toilet and shut door as knees blocked door. The porch was like sitting in a baseball dug out on bottom floor. Food was pretty good and priced accordingly

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very friendly staff and the overall grounds were very nice, clean, and maintained very well. The only complaint was the water came on early and the small porch got pretty wet. We enjoyed the upstairs room more then the lower room. Thank You, Gary

to like this hotel. Very serious golfers here, for sure, and the course looked very nice. But we booked a midweek getaway here because you have access to the facilities and beaches of the other Red Jacket resorts in Yarmouth, while paying a lot less. Beach is an 8 minute dirve, with beach chairs and unbrellas provided-no need to lug your own stuff. Beds are comfortable, room is a good size, balcony is a nice plus. Great water pressure in the shower. I do think it's time for an update to the rooms, paint on the balcony, etc. But that's minor, really. Every staff member was helpful and eager to please. Be aware that wifi is "available" but costs an additional $15/day for access. You can check your e-mail in the lobby for free, along with free coffee in the A.M. The small restaurant was happy to make a take out breakfast for us to eat out by the pool. Nice, quiet hotel, close to beaches and Rt. 28 restaurants, mini golf and ice cream but removed enough that you could really relax.

good hotel, not great. staff very friendly and helpful. Kitchen above average and accommodating. Room smelled musty and old in the midst of a long, brutal heatwave with high humidity. Golf course is immaculate, beautifully maintained. Par 3 is still challenging. Relationship with other Red Jacket Resorts enhances access to other activities, like beach.

Nice, but floor was wet and had a lot of spots. Beautiful garden and nice people at the front desk.

Great place to stay at a reasonable price for the cape. Outstanding golf course. Great beaches at sister locations. We went to the beach at the Blue Waters; only 10 minutes away!! Will most definately be back...

The room was musty and there was a noisy party. All inn all, it was not a good experience. But the staff was very friendly and refunded our money.

I found out I was going to be in Boston on Friday in July, so my husband and I decided to book two nights at the cape since we hadn't been back in 2 years. I was tempted to book Red Jacked Beach Resort (where I stayed as a child for many years), but didn't want to spend the money. I'm so glad we found the Blue Rock. It still gave us access to the RJ beaches but was actually much more serene and the golf grounds were beautiful. Slept well both nights and enjoyed watching some of the golfers tee-off in the mornings. It made me wish I played golf! (I might actually try the course out next time I'm in the area). It also turned out to be a good location for everything else we did (I only gave it 3 stars for location since it's not on the beach, but otherwise, it was ideal). I would definitely recommend to someone who plans to play golf or just a fairly priced nice hotel in S. Yarmouth.

They put me in a room that was damp and moldy smelling. I tried to tough it out, but couldn't. I finally called the front desk. Multiple times. No answer. Finally, an answer. They were very nice, but did not offer to move me to a different room. I suggested it. Then, they said that was fine and "yes" there were other rooms avail. They also came to check out the smelly room (when they delivered the new room card). They agreed that there was an issue. New room was better, but...the bathroom window did not lock. Therefore, was open all night. Didn't feel unsafe, but should not have been. Also, when taking a shower, the water turned cold (icy) and it was all of a sudden. I decided there was no need for additional complaints. It just wasn't worth it. I was only there for one night. Did not use the facilities at all. Only experience was the room itself. No HBO, no cable, etc. Just plain old TV. Not a huge deal, but that's pretty much standard now at all hotels. All of that said, the room rate was good.

I would highly recommend the Blue Rock Resort. Our room was very clean, beds very comfortable, there was a mini fridge which came in handy for left overs from local restaurant. The hotel's pool and patio area was very nice. We did not eat at the restaurant but the menu looked very good and reasonably priced. One day we went to the sister property which was literally a 5 minute drive away to go to the beach. It was beautiful and so easy! They provided the chairs and towels and we were able to pack in that hotels lot. It was super easy and convenient. And the beach was beautiful and private – only available to hotel guests. We really enjoyed our stay and are planning on staying again later this summer. Only thing i didn’t like was the shampoo. If you have long/thick hair bring your own conditioner. Otherwise its an a+

This was a very nice place to stay. We were only there for one night - attending an area wedding. The people at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The resort is older but maintained very well. It is clean and the grounds are well kept. The pool is on the small side but was fine. We had lunch in the restaurant and didn't expect much but we were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were both wonderful! We would stay there again. We did like the fact that the hotel was off the beaten path a bit because it was quiet and relaxing yet close enough to area conveniences.

Our family needed to find a place quickly, convenient to Barnstable due to the sudden passing of our beloved aunt and your facility was all that. Service in the dining room was very good, food better - it was a high point of our visit despite the sad context. Thank you.

Very nice place to stay. off of major roads so very quiet. all rooms overlook golf course. bathroom a little small and a little dated. otherwise, everything was first rate (well, they could use high def tvs.) staff was friendly and room was very clean. definitely would stay there again.

Nice quiet cozy location. Fewminutes from the beach where the sister properties are. Excellent stay.

This was a very nice hotel with clean, bright rooms and beautifully kept grounds (to be expected of a golf course). The swimming pool was very small and we didn't really use it. The main attraction of this hotel - other than golf, if that is what you like - is that it partners with other hotels which are owned by the same company and which have facilities right on the coast. Those facilities have private beaches and other amentities that you can use because of staying at the Blue Rock. We used those facilities on our trip and enjoyed very much. A note though: the facility is about 10 minutes drive north of the beach, so the location is not right on the waterfront. Overall a great stay, especially for the price.

My wife & I drove to the Cape and stayed one night following a conference in Boston. Although it is on an inland golf course (with maybe a quieter clientele), staying here allows access to their sister properties' beaches, pools, etc. Those locations provide towels, chairs, umbrellas, so it is convenient for air travelers (us) who can't pack all that stuff. The room was comfortable enough, but maintenance was a little lacking. Upon checking out, we found a men's sandal and a used Capri Sun juice pouch under one bed, which tells you how well they clean between guests. Also, the tub didn't drain well, so you basically showered while standing in 2 to 3 inches of water.

Juillet 2012, vancances en familles, jeune bébé, la chambre était grande, munie d'un petit frigo et très fonctionnelle. Piscine et vue sur le golf agrémentent le tout. Bon prix.

Excellente situation, dans un jardin superbe, et au calme tout en étant proche de la mer. Vu sur le golf. Restauration avec un excellent rapport qualité / prix et personnel très gentil, serviable et disponible.
