Quaint, simple accommodations at a reasonable rate. Great location: easy to find, easy to park, and close to symphony center, beach, shopping, and restaurants. .Free wi-fi available, though the speed, at times, was almost too slow to use, which could be a plus, if like me, you are trying to discourage a workaholic spouse from working on vacation.

We arrived in the late afternoon the day before Easter Sunday. Immediately greeted with a warm smile from the woman behind the desk. She was very helpful as we put our things in our room and wanted to get out and explore. Loved this hotel! It's in a great location. Very clean. Will stay there again!

Hotel was fine, room was clean, bathroom small, front desk person was nice. It was a rainy day so we didn't get to use the pool. Big downside, no parking, there is a lot across the street it costs $30/day... Miami prices! For the money, the room was a good value.

Location was great--easy walking distance to the Miami Convention Center, Filmore, and the restaurants/shops on Lincoln Rd. The rooms themselves were no frills except for wi-fi (i.e., no coffee maker, microwave, or refrigerator). Bathroom was also small/cramped. Some dust and mold, but, overall, given the price and location, it was adequate.

Great location, half-block from Lincoln Road and Collins Ave., yet our room was quiet. Hotel showed its age, but room was clean and bed comfortable. One block from the beach, great shopping, friendly staff, and the price was right. We will come back.

We arrived early from the airport and the young fellow at the counter was very accommodating . Took care of our luggage while we took in the sites. We were able to book an event right away with him . Our room was clean , very close to the shopping area. Maybe a little too close ?! The shopping was amazing !! Very close to restaurants. At night or early morning it was nice to sit at the patio with a tea or coffee . Family visiting Miami was able to leave their car at the cheap parking across the road in order to have time with us . We would stay at this hotel again when we visit Miami again.

Just spent one night at this "little gem". Staff were friendly and helpful, held our luggage until the room was ready and offered us different options on the available rooms. Hotel is within walking distance to Lincoln Rd, the beach and basically the fun, social and educational of Miami Beach. Parking is across the street from the hotel. We would return again and most certainly recommend it. Only critique would be that the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor's voice.

My husband and I booked this hotel after seeing a good price for South Beach and convenient location. After reading some of the reviews we were a little hesitant but decided to try it anyways. We found the hotel staff to be quite friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and neat. Everything was spotless, very simple room. It's the perfect hotel to spend the day out sightseeing and then come back to sleep at night. Yes sometimes at night it can be a little noisy but it's not awful. There isn't parking onsite but across the street is a pay to park lot that charges $40 for a 24 hour period until 12 the next day and if you want to stay longer, you can pay $20 extra. The location is perfect, a short walk to most amenities including Ocean Dr and the surrounding area.

Excellent hotel location, 1 minute walk from Lincoln Road pedestrian zone, shops etc, 3 minutes from Ocean Drive and Art Deco area, 3 minutes from beach. No traffic or entertainment noise. Hotel room itself was a bit tired, needs a lick of paint, but don't let this put you off as rest of hotel was good. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Hotel has a pool and small cafe for breakfast. Must do's are the Duck Tour around South Beach and celebs. houses and hire of decobike for a cycle around south, mid and north beach areas.

Loved the vintage look that this city has preserved in gems like this one. The desk help directed me to the local bus for 25¢ and held my bags for me until I could check in when I was early. The cafe served yummy food. I truly felt like I was on vacation. The room was perfect for a traveler who doesn't like spending their time hanging out in their hotel. Meaning, a bed bathroom and place to put your clothes will suffice. Will definitely recommend and or stay again!

Staff are friendly and courteous. Hotel if a bit dated, but location is great....away from the noisy Ocean Drive area, but close to Lincoln Mall shops and beach

close to beach and restaurants on Lincoln and Collins. Local shuttle bus is only 25 cents. Staff friendly made good restaurant suggestions

Enjoyed the hotel,no cable and pillows like rocks let it down!

I was really impressed with this hotel during my stay here in April. The reception staff were exceptional and extremely helpful at all times, the room was lovely and clean and very roomy. The pool was really nice and very well maintained as were the rest of the facilities. I don't have any negative comments here, I had a great experience and the location was unbeatable just a few meters from all the action on South Beach but still nice and quiet!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Over-night parking was pricey ($30). Front desk staff was very helpful (I believe his name was Rodrigo). He kept me abreast of a package I was expecting and had it waiting for me when I checked into the hotel. He also upgraded me to a king suite which was very nice. Pool was refreshing.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean and spacious, and it was within walking distance of stores, bars, beaches, restaurants! The staff was super friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this hotel.

Set a block away from the hustle and bustle of Ocen drive which is a plus. Great rooms, close to beach and a block away from the Ritz and Lowes. Nice little pool to relax at if you feel the need for some quiet time. Great stay! Booking it in 2013 for next years Wine and Food Fest!

We stayed for 3 nights at Crest Hotel. It was good for the price, but the walls are very thin and we were there doing spring break, so a lot of drunk loud people in the next rooms and walking down the hallway at night. So sleep is optional. The staff was super nice and helpful but I did have to ask for basic things like shampoo/conditioner and an ironing board. No new towels were ever changed either. Cleanliness was not perfect, their was splashes of dried red juice on the wall and the bathroom floor needed vacuuming. The location was perfect, right near restaurants and the beach. I would recommend this hotel if you want a great price hotel in a great location, but I would invest in a great pair of earplugs in order to get some sleep ;-)

The hotel is a coupe of blocks from Lincoln Road and the beach. The walls are super thin so you will hear everything going on around you. There is a bus stop that is a block away where you can catch a bus for $2.00 to get to downtown. Another bus stop 2 blocks can get you to the airport for $2.35 and take about 35 minutes. When I checked in the clerk told me there were no buses to either place and that I needed to take taxis. Luckily the next day, there was a much better front desk person working that told me about these bus stops.

Happy with our stay.

This hotel is great if you want to be close to the beach without spending your whole vacation budget on a hotel. It's a 2-block walk to the beach, where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from any of the fancy hotels. Also a 2-block walk to Lincoln Ave, which is full of restaurants, bars, and shops. Great location. Only knock i had is that we were in a room on the south side of the hotel, which was right next to an alley way, where there seemed to be 10 minutes of garbage collecting at around 7 am every other day. It was very noisy and if possible, see if you can get a room on the north side of the hotel. Also the pool is nothing fancy - it's right on the street and is pretty small. But you're a two block walk to the beach so it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Oh where do I begin on how awful Crest Suites were? First off, the girl who check us in had a massive attitude, and the valet took forever (whereas across the street there's a public parking lot that is just as safe, and will cost the same amount, and you won't have to waste your day waiting for the impossibly slow valet at Crest). Then, after I waited for 1/2 hour to have my car parked - which I didn't want to leave because it was double parked on a very busy road - I went to my room. They gave us a room with one bed, although I had paid for a room with two double beds. Once again, I had to wait and see if they had the room which we had paid for. After a few minutes, I was moved up a floor to a room that was easily 90*. Fair enough, it's Miami and they weren't expecting us, but man does that suck to get out of a long car ride to a sweltering hot room. It's a bit far from the South Beach action - about 15 blocks. But it is in the heart of a lot of shopping, etc. That being said, it is incredibly noisy. Now, as far as the actual room - the beds are covered in plastic or something? They squeak every time people move (which is not fun for a room of ladies). And, they're pretty uncomfortable to boot. Also, in our room the maid had only put one roll of 1/2 empty toilet paper in it... needless to say, I discovered this at 4 AM and had a lovely visit with the front desk, again. Oh, and the shower was dangerous - my friend accidentally cut herself on the drain because it was in disrepair. Let me add, the elevator certificate was 7 months expired to get us up to our room. When we checked out, the rude girl at the beginning had told me that retrieving my car from valet in the morning would take about 5-10 minutes. I'm glad I decided to go early because the next rude man who checked us out told me, "Always 15 minutes." It was 15 minutes, and yet another stressful moment. Again, another rude person at the desk. This hotel was not terribly fancy but it was great location, extremely clean and accomidating. They went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. I was impressed with the service... for sure. IT is really cute too!

As the title says the room was infested with ants and the hotel was full and they would not give me another room. Not fun to wake up with ants crawling on your bed and body.... You decide if you want to stay here, many positives, but ants and probably bedbugs too is not a good thing.

Our stay at this hotel did not meet our expectations from looking at the photos on hotels.com and reading about the hotel. Room was small, view non-existing as we had to keep the blinds down to avoid having people looking in. We could hear every single word from the hallway so if you need a quite night this is not the hotel for you. Service at front-desk was ok and we got help with what we needed. Pool unfortunatey not heated and extremely cold. On the positive side though I have to mention the location - James Ave is a nice and quite street with everything you need within reach!

The hotel had a great location however we were extremely dissapointed with the hygiene standards this resort worked upon. The reception staff were all clueless with any quieries we had and could not help us most the time. Upon check in the room had several hairs in the bath and on the inside linnen of the bed. Would not recommend this place for anyone, plenty of other great places nearby to look into.

We had a very pleasant stay for five nights at the Crest Hotel Suites, Miami. The room was a decent size with a very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom is on the small side but more than adequate. The room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned properly very day. The location is simply fantastic - a stone's throw from the beach and just around the corner form all the shops, bars and restaurants of Lincoln Road. The jewel in the crown, however, is Rodrigo at reception - quite simply one of the most helpful hotel staff members that we've ever come across.

We enjoyed our 6 day stay at the Crest Hotel. The room has everything you'll need for a week at the beach; AC, two double beds, clean sheets, a flat screen TV and a shower/bath. The room was clean and the maid came every day. We went to the grocery once we got there, bought a small cooler and enough food for breakfasts and lunches. The staff was polite, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting South Beach. The only complaints we had about South Beach are that the bars charge WAY too much for drinks and it seemed as though the locals are all too eager to scam the tourists. I would recommend that you don't let people know that you're just visiting. That said, I can completely understand their point of view as well. Tourists must be a real pain for them. Many people go to South Beach and act like idiots, so the locals are on the defensive. Let this be a lesson to us all. 'Visitors, treat the people and the city with nothing but respect,' and Locals, 'don't bite the hand that feeds you.'

Crest is a good, clean hotel close to the beach and shops/resturants. You do not need a car if you stay here or at lower street numbers then 20. The rooms were quite small and you can hear your neigburs talking, maybe you should avoid weekends when the partypeople are there.

The hotel was small and clean with an even smaller elevator. The reception staff were 'not bothered'. The rooms were worn but clean. The pool was small and in the front of the hotel right on the street. Overall it is a small, cheap, clean and basic hotel in a brillant location close to both beach and lincoln road, so if you are planning on just staying here to put the head down from a night of partying then its perfect.

An older Art Deco property. Friendly staff although housekeeping was inconsistent. Upgraded when we chhecked into a very nice suite. Much better value than the Ritz which is only one block away...
