Wine Valley Inn - סולבנג

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Solvang for a few days. It's in a great location and you can walk to anything you need. We stayed here for an anniversary trip and it was great because the grounds are very well kept and they had an outside fire place where we could sit and drink our wine each night. Everyone was friendly and our room was very nice, it looked like it had been recently remodeled. I did think that it was a little bit over priced for a weeknight stay and for the size of our room (it wasn't much bigger than the king sized bed). The only other down side is that there is no pool or hot tub. Overall, it was a great place though and their breakfast is really good. We would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I celebrated our eleventh anniversary at The Wine Valley Inn. We chose this location because we needed a place that was pet friendly. Several couples had their pooches. The hotel, the staff and the city of Solvang were great. I would have rated this place higher if they could verify if the room carpets were clean. I suspect not because I know my little pup left a few mistakes and we did take care of them but what about those people who aren't? I imagine that the dark colored carpet were in fact disgusting and probably rarely ever cleaned. Now this is only my opinion. We walked around in our room with our shoes on most the time. Other than that everything worked the rooms were clean and the people were friendly. Check out Yelp for good eats too.

Enjoyed it after having our room changed from the 3rd floor when we couldn't unlock the door. Shouldn't put older people on that floor when there is no elevator and we had to carry our own luggage up a flight of stairs. We were changed to the second floor and liked our room very much. Great room especially if staying for an extended period of time. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Next time!

Our stay was great with a few minor situations. One, the air conditioners could stand to be updated or serviced to work better. We stayed in 2 different rooms and the a/c was less than good. The plumbing was a little concern as the water pressure was not that great. The management could possibly consider raising the shower heads as they are considerably low. Other than those things, the hotel was good. The location was great and the breakfast was very good. We would stay again but would love to see these improvements.

The hotel is right in the middle of town and the staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The included breakfast was very nice and the coffee was first-rate.

We loved it here because we had a very nice room. The other rooms weren't so nice but very clean. The other rooms were kinda dark and lacked warmth. Sandra was so accommodating and a super nice person. We would go back if we could get the same room.

they used very disgusting pillow. Pillow's zipper was very poor. it was not zipped completely due to that it cut my elbow. When i took a look what cut me it was the zipper and found mold inside it...I do NOT recommend this hotel. Please stay elsewhere.

Very cool shape to the rooms. Also, spacious with nice TV, shower, and fire place. Central location put us right where we wanted to be in Solvang. We shall return.

I had booked online for a king size bed, the only sized they showed online. Once we got to the Inn the staff saw my party was three people he told me if I could wait about an hour he could give us a jr suite with a sofa sleeper. The room was very nice and clean. We loved the spacious bathroom. Free hot breakfast. It worked out so well for us. I would definitely book a stay again. Thank you Wine Vally Inn staff.

close to all must-see sights

While we enjoyed the location of this property, and the staff was quite friendly, the hallways and public spaces have seen better days. It was worn down and a bit shabby (and not in a chic way). The room was clean and quiet, although very odd in terms of a layout. There were many angles in the room and corners where the painting was not completed. Lots of light cords all over the place. Breakfast was okay. We would still recommend this for location, nice staff and guest room cleaniliness.

We stayed overnight and were very pleased with the room and accommodations. The room had a fireplace ready to go and it worked perfectly. Our room was on the third floor but was easy to get to with the elevator and convenient stairs. Close to town center with restaurants and shops. Rooms 307 and 308 are close together and somewhat private for a nice two room package for families and friends. Good parking lot and access.

Room could use a little updating, but it was clean. Located near lots of restaurants, bakeries, and little shops. Would stay there again on our next visit to Solvang.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The morning coffee and breakfast were outstanding! The front desk service was beyond expectations and allowed us to have a very enjoyable time playing cards with our friends. We and they had a wonderful time in Solvang.

Felt this hotel was overrated on the website. Not nearly as nice as the other hotel we also booked at the same time. There was a learning curve to the room, such as turn the heat way down at night so it didn't go on in the middle of the night and roar at us. The shower was very nice but had no place to put soap or shampoo. The toilet paper holder was barely hanging on. We were on the third floor, the elevator went to the second only. The exterior walks on the second floor were not in the best condition. Didn't feel that it deserved a 4.2 rating.

Room was Great. Shower was really nice. Felt like we were in a different Country. Will definitely stay here again....

The staff was warm and friendly. The room was spacious and the location in proximity to town could not have been more perfect. Overall a great weekend getaway and a pleasant stay.

We went on a trip for our anniversary. We had a blast! Solvang was Great! The hotel was neat and quaint !

This hotel had a very attractive exterior but unfortunately the rooms were old and falling apart. Everything in the room made noise as if it was in need of repair; lights, refrigerator, air conditioner, etc. The decor was shabby and drab and in need of a make-over and the cleanliness was an issue. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I had a great stay. We could walk to all the shops in Solvang and it was a short drive to many Santa Barbara area wineries. The staff was very friendly, but a word of advice-bring your own pillows-the hotel's were terrible.

The staff was very helpful and did all they could to ensure a pleasant stay.

We have stayed here and were very pleased. This time however the room we got #36 was very run down, frayed carpet, moldy bathroom, hair in tub and sink, and very old toilet seat. Not good. Very nice people, and a great breakfast but a very nasty room.

The Wine Valley Inn is in a great location with beautiful gardens but as far as the inn itself, it is in dire need of maintenance. The termostat in the room could be adjusted, but didn't change anything; The TV was ancient and the remote didn't work; there were no robes in the room as mentioned in the description. The "wine and cheese" every afternoon was mentioned as we checked in but when we went to the lobby for a glass of wine, we talked to the server for about 10 minutes then were asked what kind of wine we wanted . After she poured it, and we started drinking it, she told us that the charge was $5.50 a glass. Not that the cost was a big deal but neither the front desk nor the server mentioned it, nor was there a sign next to the "tip jar"! Careless details like that in addition to the maintenance issues prevented it from being as nice as it could have been.

booked this online from other reviews. we were on the third floor, no elevator to the third floor, only to the second. i recomened staying only on the first and second floors, third not worth it. our room was comfy, but needed updating. unusual shower! had a very nice hot breakfast, plenty of seating, nice choices. front desk personel very nice, friendly. within walking of everything Solvang. we would stay here again, just not on the third floor!

Liked the friendly front desk attended (at night) very helpful. Rooms were cozy and comfortable but didn't like the 3rd floor room.

Great place.

I was looking forward to staying at this particular hotel for some time. We were so disappointed in the room furnishings, view from our room and layout of the room. The bedding/pillows are of poor quality and the room is not tastefully decorated. The afternoon wine and cheese event had a few cubes of cheese on one plate with stale crackers on another. The hostess was offended when we asked to se the names of the wines she was offering at $5 a glass and made the "happy hour" stressful. I will not stay here again.

Perfect in every way. A substantial breakfast, a very accommodating response to my request for a quiet room, a beautiful but unfortunately brief stay in a charming place with lots of charm!

Good!

We stayed overnight at this hotel on our way from San Francisco to San Diego and it is a nice hotel. Our room was on the ground floor and it was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and nicely appointed....parking was easy. The hotel is within walking distance to lots of restaurants etc and as we arrived quite late we decided to just have pizza for dinner - it was only a 5 min walk away, It was a pity we only had one night in Solvang as it looked like a really good interesting place to explore.

Our reserved room was a lock off & around 9:30 we could hear a child crying in the next room, my husband called the front desk to see if we could move to another room and the desk clerk said he had 1 room available, we were able to move all of our things and were very satisfied with the other room.
