Lindner Hotel Dom Residence - קלן

מלון זה הוא הימור ממש בטוח. הצוות דובר אנגלית עבור מי שאינו רוצה לשבור את השיניים עם גרמנית קלוקלת, והם מאד נכונים לעזור. המלון נוח מאוד ונמצא במיקום טוב - קרוב ל- Dom, אבל מוגן מפני ההמולה הכבדה של צעדי התיירים. המלון יקר בהשוואה למלונות אחרים באזור, אבל היינו שמחים ששילמנו את ההפרש הקל. אין לנו שום בעיה להמליץ על המלון.

נהנינו משהייתנו במלון זה בדצמבר 2011. הצוות היה מאד מסביר פנים ונכון לעזור, והחדרים היו נקיים מאד ונוחים. המלון נמצא במרחק הליכה קצרה מהקתדרלה ומאזור הקניות. היינו ממליצים על מלון זה לכל אחד.

מלון נוח וטוב קרוב לעיר ולתחנת הרכבת המרכזית. במרחק של רק 10 דקות הליכה מהמלון לקתדרלה ובמרחק של 15 דקות הליכה למרכזי הקניות. המלון ממוקם קרוב לאזור העסקים כך שהיו מעט אטרקציות לבילוי בלילה באזור זה, מה שתרם לתנאי שינה טובה. אבל היו הרבה באזור הקתדרלה. למערכת הרכבת התחתית יש כיסוי טוב מאוד של העיר עם תמורה טובה לכרטיסיות נסיעה שניתנות להשגה. המלון נמצא בין תחנות, אך שתיים מהן במרחק 10 דקות הליכה והעיר די שטוחה. המלון בעל אופי מודרני, מאוד נקי, כמעט סטרילי בצורה מסוימת עם רהיטים קלים, עץ כהה ומצעים לבנים. מרכז פנאי משותף גם לבניין המגורים הצמוד אבל הוא לא היה עמוס במיוחד. לא היה חיוב נוסף בעבור השימוש בבריכה אבל היה חיוב קטן בעבור חדר הכושר שהיה בו עירוב טוב של מכשירים. הצוות דיבר בקלות באנגלית למרות שמצאנו כמה דברים שנזדקקנו בהם עזרה. לא אכלנו במלון, יותא מדי אפשרויות אחרות, אז לא ניתן להגיב על האוכל. לא היו מכשירי תה או קפה, למרות שהיה מקרר מצוייד היטב ובמחיר סביר. סופרמרקט קטן היה קרוב אם רצית להצטייד בחטיפים. אשתמש שוב במלון וברשת הזו שוב.

המלון ממוקם באופן מושלם בקרבת קתדרלת קלן. החדר היה ענק ומרוהט יפה. מלון זה הוא כמעט מלון 5 כוכבים ובהחלט היה שווה את הכסף ששילמתי עבורו.

זו הפעם השלישית שאנו שוהים במלון זה, ואנו מתכוונים לעשות זאת שוב ב- 2012. היינו צריכים לתפוס רכבת לפרנקפורט מוקדם מאד בבוקר, והזמנו דרך הקבלה מונית שתיקח אותנו לתחנת הרכבת. כשירדנו מהחדר, המונית חיכתה לנו. צוות חדר האוכל אדיב מאד ומסייע ברצון. יש לנו את אותה מלצרית מאז שהתחלנו לבוא לכאן,, והיא נהדרת. המלון ממוקם רק כמה דקות הליכה מהקתדרלה ומירידי חג המולד.

זהו מלון מצוין שנמצא לא יותר מחמש דקות הליכה מתחנת הרכבת, מהקתדרלה וממרכז העיר. המלון נקי מאד והסגל היה מעולה. אחרי ששרות ארוחת הערב כבר הסתיים, הציעו לי להכין עבורי אוכל בחצות הלילה. צוות דלפק הקבלה היה מצוין. המיקום אידיאלי ויכולתי לקפוץ הלוך ושוב ממרכז העיר למלון כי הוא היה כל כך קרוב. אני אשוב למלון הזה.

מלון נחמד, נקי וחברותי. ממוקם באופן מאוד מרכזי.

היחס בדלפק הקבלה היה חמים וידידותי מאד, והאנגלית הייתה טובה. החדר היה נח מאד ונקי. מבחינת מיקום, המלון היה במרחק הליכה מה- Dom, כך שהיה אפשרי להגיע ממנו לרוב המקומות תוך דקות ספורות. הבעיה היחידה הייתה שלחדר עצמו לא היה חימום (אבל לאמבטיה היה), אולם שמיכת הפוך הספיקה.

שהיתי ב- Lindner Hotel Dom Residence מספר פעמים במהלך השנים האחרונות, וזה מלון נחמד מאוד במחירים הוגנים. הוא קטן אבל נקי, מקצועי ותמורה טובה. מה עוד ניתן לבקש.

בחירה נהדרת במרחק 5 דקות הליכה מתחנת הרכבת המרכזית, ו-the Dom וקרוב לשווקי חג המולד העיקריים, אבל באזור שקט יותר וחלונות אטומים לרעש נהדרים. צוות הבר והקבלה קיבלו את פנינו בצורה חברותית ביותר ויעילה. החדרים הסטנדרטיים מספיק גדולים בעבור 2 למשך חופשת סוף שבוע עם שירותים בגודל טוב ומאוד נקיים. הדבר היחידי שהיה חסר כדי לשפר את השהות שלנו היה מכשירי תה/ קפה בחדר.

My stay at the Lindner was terrific. I arrived very early from the USA and my room wasn't ready yet. They suggested I have breakfast and they would do their best for me. After 15 minutes the front desk manager came into the restaurant and told me I had been upgraded to their Junior suite, so I could rest. It was a beautiful suite with a large patio/balcony where you could see the spires of the Dom! I appreciate the courtesy extended and it continued the rest of my stay. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Dom and the train station and all the shopping one could want, I would definitely stay again.

Although we only stayed 1 night, the hotel was very welcoming and very clean and tidy. Good around hotel would have been nice to stay for longer.

Hotel was minutes walk from the train station and Cathedral. Rooms were quiet and very modern. Everything was sparklng new. I would return without hesitation. Absolutely no problems with the reservation. The price of the breakfast buffet was not a good value, so we went to one of the numerous bakeries that are close by for coffee and pasteries. Laundry took 24 hrs. (should have been same day service). I got back just before checking out.

Pro's - Wonderful facility and very helpful staff. The location was within a 5 minute walk from the train station and and the fabulous cathedral. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future . Con's - signage for the hotel location could be improved

Very nice hotel within walking distance of the Cologne train station and beautiful Dom.

We could not fault this hotel. The location was perfect as it is close to the main shopping streets, Christmas markets and the cathedral. There are also museums nearby and it is possible to walk everywhere we wanted to go in a two night stay.The room was quiet, despite being centrally located and the staff were very helpful. Being lazy, we had breakfast in the hotel, but would have been better advised to find breakfast elsewhere. Overall, highly recommended.

Lovely, would stay again

Location is in city centre that's the best thing about this hotel It has the steepest entrance I've ever seen into a parking garage so beware if you drive anything other then a 4x4 This hotel was more like a travel lodge for 4 star money Bar small, rooms old fashioned, wellness area shared with old people's home in the ajoining building

Excellent hotel well located with exceptional restaurant.

Great location and great staff. It was very convenient to all locations i.e. Rail, Dom, Restaurants, shopping etc..

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the places we wanted to see and the room was nice.

Only one night but very comfortable room, all the amenities -- except would have liked to have easy access to coffee. Main train station is just 4 blocks away -- and the Dom is even closer. Beds were comfortable, shower refreshing (even a tub, which is unusual in Germany), and the front desk people were most helpful.

Hotel was incredibly convenient, a couple of minutes walk from the Dom and the Main train station. It was also very clean, great beds/bedding and room size. The hotel had a modern feel and the staff were incredibly helpful. We had a couple of minor issues with our safe battery being out (they switched our room) and the TV's on the 2nd floor stopped working (fixed by the next morning, and the issue seemed like a fluke event). Overall we were incredibly satisfed with our stay here. The location is as good as it gets and it was incredibly comfortable. One thing to note...breakfast here is an EXPENSIVE add on, so avoid. Laughably expensive regardless of how haut cuisine it might be.

We had no complaints at all about this hotel. I had made a mistake with my online reservation and booked a double room when I actually needed a triple...they brought in an extra bed and didn't even charge us! (So, our space was a bit cramped, but that was MY fault!) The front desk staff is excellent with hotel-related requests as well as information about the town. Parking is convenient - there is a garage underneath the hotel - and the rates for parking were average. The location is a quick 300 meter walk to the main part of town. The food in the hotel is pricey...we didn't eat there at all, so I can't comment on quality, but I have no doubt that it is good! We chose the cheaper, more authentic fare a couple of blocks away instead. All in all, I would say that this is probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in while traveling abroad; and coupled with the fact that it is in a very fun city - I definitely recommed it!

Lindner hotel was perfect with one exception; internet access was worse than anywhere I have ever experienced. I paid for one week at 39 euros and WiFi on Apple devices failed most of the time. There were occasional times when I could connect, however, when staying at a hotel for business purposes, decent WiFi internet access is mandatory! Once they fix the internet WiFi issues, I'd say highly recommended.

Nice hotel but breakfast is expensive and there is no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom

It is a lovely hotel very close to the station, the Dom, and the main shopping streets but in a quiet street. Lovely rooms, the pool was lush and the staff very helpful. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay enabling if doing buisness at Koelnmesse. Close to the station only one stop to the Messe form platform 10 and right in the middle of town, perfect!

It's a good business hotel - located a 3 minute walk from the Dom and the train station. What would really improve the hotel as business hotel would be FREE wifi. It's a bit ridiculous that in 2012 wifi is seen as revenue stream as opposed to a business necessity.Anyway a good solid business hotel.

My husband and I chose the Lindner Hotel mainly because the price was right, but it turned out to be an awesome experience. The restaurant in the hotel has excellent food, it is right down by the cathedral and within easy walking distance of many museums and points of interest. It is on a quiet side street and made for a nice relaxing get away after a day spent in crowds while out sightseeing. The entire staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful and courteous.

The Lindner Dom lived up to the reviews and surpassed our expectations. Front desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the hotel was very clean, modern and well-appointed. The location was excellent - a short walk from the main train and underground stations and perfect for the strolls to the Dom, Rhine River, museums and endless shopping areas. There was also a wide range of eateries and restaurants in the area. The hotel and location definitely enhanced our experience. Would definitely stay at this property again.

on arrival we were given room 219. There was a distinct unpleasant smell - damp problem, perhaps? We complained and were offered choice of room 119 (directly below 219) or 514. When we entered 119 the odour was many times worse than in the room above. We settled in 514 and everything was fine thereafter. Point is, that hotel staff should have been aware that 219 and 119 were not fit for habitation.

Clerks were very helpful, friendly, informative. we never had any difficulties with room or services. would definitely stay there again.

The inability to adjust the room temperature to our liking made a great hotel and location less than desirable.

Just keep in mind that breakfast i not included and cost an astounding 22 euros.

Hotel was very convenient to town center as well as train station (3 blocks). Staff was very nice and room was comfortable. Had the continental breakfast each morning which was very nice and totally adequate in quality and quantity...didn't need to pay for the full breakfast. We would stay here again on another visit to the city.

Clean, well appointed hotel. 2 minutes walk from the Dom. Can recommend wholeheartedly, absolutely no bad points.

I was hesitant about booking a hotel in Cologne because the only big chain was The Hilton. However, I booked this hotel because I wanted to swim on my night getaway. I was pleasantly surprised that it was so convenient to the train station, literally a few short blocks away. The pool was nice and clean, I was the only one in it. I was surprised that there is a 9 EUR charge to use the gym. My twin room was very nice and clean. No funky bathroom, etc. The only downside was the fact that not one station, besides some news, was in English. I would certainly stay there again.
