VOLCANO KILAUEA ACCOMMODATIONS - וולקנו

We booked 2 rooms, but the 2 rooms are not in the same building. Actually the distance between the 2 rooms is very far, more than 2 miles. Finally we (4 persons) stayed in one room. Anyway, this room at 2nd floor is very nice. The room is very large, clean.

Hotel has multiple properties/locations. So beware that pictures may not correspond to where you will stay. Comfortable stay but they wanted to charge for a crib. This is unheard of. Rooms cramped and tiny but clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast not included: basic and cheap. There is nothing in that village. So make sure you make advance arrangements for dinner, etc. or have it in Hilo, which is 26 miles/45 minutes away.

I know this was a low cost basic hotel, but no remote for the Tv? That's very quaint.

This was perfect for my trip. Not too expensive but clean and pleasant. Very convient to the park. I would stay here again.

Nice place to stay. It is more of a hostel set up. Shared bath and a kitchen. The price reflected the fac that it was more of a hostel but I wouldn't have paid much more and felt it was worth the value. Had TV and good cable and the lobby rented movies for a reasonable price. If you are going to use the kitchen....best to buy your food before you come to Volcano. We couldn't find a good place to buy groceries and it was expensive at most of the local restaurants for meals.

We totally loved our stay at the Hale Volcanoe House.So so clean and quiet, very comfortable, great bed and linens. The home was beautiful!!!! Stay there!!

We only used the hotel to sleep in since we arrived late after regisitration (6pm) and left early (6am)before registration. Everything was fine but .... It would be convenient to have a live person to receive guests and help direct them to places of interests and food if only to chat to.

this location was very close to the entrance of the volcano park which is a must see! close to several restaurants in the village too. the room and bathroom - more than adequate inside this "lodge". other than a little dust, overall - it was clean. it was perfect for a one night stay while travelling from one side of the island to the other while giving time to visit the volcano at night to see the "glow" and the next morning to hike and enjoy the views.

Had to share a bathroom, but having a kitchen to work with more than made up for that. Location is right outside of the park. Overall, I would gladly stay there again vs. other options in the area.

We found it a bit difficult to find the accommodation. We arrived in the evening and office was already closed but we could collect our keys from a box outside. The accommodation we stayed was max 5 minute drive from the main building. Our room was clean and really small (size of the room depends on how much you pay). I would definitely recommend getting a breakfast - you have to pay $6 (I think) and you eat as much as you like. The selection is also good - papaya, pineapple, selection of bread, eg. pink bread :), bagels. The location is great - 10 minute drive to Volcano N.P.

if you are used to sharing bathrooms and like having a kitchen. very clean & well maintained. rooms are a bit small but the price is right. Eat at the Kilauea Kitchen nearby

VOLCANO KILAUEA ACCOMMODATIONS was a great value for our one night stay in Volcano. Only negative was having to share a bathroom with one other guest, but our schedules never conflicted and that wasn't a problem at all. The room was clean with a nice king sized bed and the location is excellent right in Volcano and close to the National Park and many restaurants. Great place to stay for the value!

The town of Volcano, adjacent to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, has only guest house and B&B lodging right now (06/2010). The Volcano House Hotel, inside the Park, is on long-term closure for renovation. Volcano Kilauea Accommodations is actually a group of separate buildings with a central one for check-in and continental breakfast. The super budget place I stayed in is down the road a piece from the main complex. Basically, you get the use of a beautifully decorated three story house. Shared bath was no problem -- the only other guests were on another floor with another bath.

I am not confortable leaving a bad review as I know it affects the income of the property owners but it is important to explain our experience so people can read about our experience and make a decision. The unit should not be a 2 stars but a 1 star. Not enough effort is put in to keep the unit clean. I suppose the sign that states that "house comes every 3 days our of a 4 day saty" is an indication. The kitchen was filthy and sticky. We had to wash all the dishes before we could think of eating in. The bed was small. The rooms badly insulated and not very well decorated. Internet access reminded me of old dial-up speed access. I mean, it was just not a 2 stars experience... I think that the owners have been doing it too long and have forgotten some basic rules.

Bonne impression de l'hotel, par contre le village de Volcano est vraiment tout petit sans reel commerce. La vie y est assez chère. C'est un bon point d'ancrage pour visiter le Sud de l'ile.

En general es buen hotel y te ofrece una buena relacion costo/beneficio. Las instalaciones estan cuidadas y son muy acogedoras. El unico punto mala durante la estancia fue un olor extraño en nuestra habitacion.

lodge cosy , propre , jacuzzi , cuisine ;calme proche de l entree du parc volcano , tres bien
