Sandman Hotel Victoria - ויקטוריה

The hotel is great, but there isn't much near by for diner options in the immediate area. Plus the road network near there is brutal to navigate. But overall decent.

Nice clean hotel located close to China town as well as various shopping options. Front desk clerk was very professional and friendly.

The Sandman Victoria is a excellent place to stay if you do not mind taking a 5 minute cab ride or a 10 minute bus ride to downtown. The rooms are very clean, they have a pool and hot tub and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this hotel and would stay at it again.

A very short business stay, but it was great! Only concern I had was the heating of the room - too hot one minute and too cold the next. I couldn't balance it as much as I tried. Other than that, I shall return!!! Great Staff.

Thought it was great. The best part is the parking. I find that some hotels make parking a hassle and the Sandman seems to always make it easy. For some reason, parking is a big stress about staying at a hotel sometimes and it's good to see Sandman making it easy and free.

i was dissapointed in the size of the so called queen bed so we obvisely had to do an upgrade,

it was excellent as this was my fourth time to stay in the hotel. I always stay only one night each so not enough to make a perfect rating, otherwise over all is very satisfied. thank you.

Only problem were the carpets in the breakfast area are filthy and look like they never get cleaned. Easy fix, don't understand why they can't steam clean them.

When we booked the room it said we had a family suite where we could be apart from the kids when they were sleeping. It wasn't the same suite and really small. Disappointing.

I have never before been charged in advance for "incidentals" in any other hotel/motel. Is this something new? The carpet was severely marked with any "iron" by some previous guest. The toilet seat was terribly loose. The "old" tv was not a clear picture on any channel.

Other guests residing on same floor kept their childred running and slamming doors until about midnight!

Front desk staff awesome. Quiet and clean room. Missed having a fridge in the room! Morning breakfast set up and service wasn't up to par.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sandman Victoria the front desk people are very good, polite and quick to serve. It's a little ways to the downtown core, but the rate reflects that. The room was quite and clean. My only complaint would be that on the 3rd floor there is an ice machine that fills that whole end of the floor with noise it really should be shut in it's own sound-proof room. In short I would stay there again.

It is a good hotel for budget travel. Little outdated in regards to room we had but lobby and building are ok. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room so it will set you back by $10-15 per person. Better choice may be close by Tim Hortons. Would stay there again.

A few things about the location.. 1. located beside bus depot - idling buses 24 hrs 2. - Hotel on lock down card access for everything.. is this area safe?3. hotel restaurant - most expense restaurant in Victoria ... really? 4. Parking... hard to get spot unless you return at 4pm... Room was big for the king.. had 2 tvs was good.. maid was good. had kitchenette which is nice. Just the mystery stain on the wall is a bit hard to get over...

The hotel stay was satisfactory, however the dining room prices did not match the quality - in other words too much money for what you got.

It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Inner Harbor but it is a very direct route. The staff were very polite, professional and helpful.

Short walk to Inner Harbour or take public transit @ front of Hotel.Overall very satisfied.

Showers were cold, and a mini fridge would have been useful. But everything else was good.

This hotel is very nice. It had lots of great features like an indoor pool with hot tub. Very comfortable rooms. The problem we had was that for the price we paid we assumed we would get a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Those items were not included. The ice machine on our floor was out of order so we had to go to a different floor everytime we needed ice. It made for a complicated stay. Our room was on the 3rd floor but the music coming from the bar in the lobby could be heard until 1am in our room it was annoying but livable. We were disappointed that the money we spent wasn't equal to the quality we expected.

Hotel was good value, clean, and had friendly service. Our room was not well laid out, making it somewhat less usable than it could have been. The Douglas Street location is beyond walking distance from the main tourist and business areas of Victoria, and parts of the surrounding neighbourhood are less than inspiring. Location sets price in this business and the Sandman provides value - with the cost being a little more effort to access the core of Victoria.

Very friendly. Room clean and light. Little walk to ocean but the free convenient parking makes up for this.

This was a nice hotel, nothing fancy but clean. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Only complaint was the bar/patrons connected to hotel, noisey later in the evening

Tout était OK, mais le prix de la chambre était trop chèr. Nous avions la vue sur un dépot de bus. L'hotel est situé dans les environs des concessionaires de voitures et loin du centre ville à pied. Points très negatives
