Orchard Hotel - סן פרנסיסקו

Hotel was clean and had a big room, newly remodeled with coffee maker in room and great robes! Price was great too! The lusting noted DVD players. Had to get hotel engineer to help me as they are transitioning. The best part....uber green hotel and sooo recycling friendly.

Very comfortable rooms that were impeccably cleaned every day. Friendly service, especially from the bellhop. I appreciated the "green" touches. A quick walk to the Fairmont Hotel where I was attending a conference.

Absolutely no complaints, lovely hotel, lovely staff

I really like how cozy this place was. It was very well kept with an excellent staff, from the doorman (who is so friendly) to their front desk. The only issue I had was their TV couldn't get constant reception on most channels. I couldn't watch a Giants game! :( The location is PERFECT if you're a tourist or love the big city feel that San Francisco has.

the hotel was perfect location for me. It was centrally located within walking distance to Union Square, Chinatown, Museum of Modern Art and the trolley stop right outside the hotel makes for a fun ride down to Fisherman's Wharf! The room was very clean and comforting. It was an oasis for me after a long day of tourist activities. I highly recommend staying here.

We arrived in town around 10 am (earlier than I expected) and they were able to accommodate us and check us in early. Very nice overall.

The hotel is on Bush, if it were one block South, on Sutter, it would be slightly better, but overall it's in a good safe location (though as you wander towards the tenderloin it gets seedy). I switched rooms because mine faced an alleyway (same as the Marriot on Sutter) on a lower floor and was noisy during garbage pickup. Higher floor room was awesomely quiet, but smelled a little musty. Staff was awesome.

Hotel Orchard was great location! The hotel was nice and quaint and perfect for my stay the front desk and valet were extremely nice and helpful i would defiantly come back for another stay :)

Very nice & helpful doorman. Very quiet hotel. Clean room, great location. TV was out one night. They gave us DVD's. which we did not need because San Francisco was so great. Parking was very expensive. Carpet okay. Very nice overall. I would recommend this hotel. Nice eating areas close by. Only 2 blocks from great shopping.

If you a desire a simple (no pool, limited work-out room) hotel, the Orchard is terrific. The staff is friendly, location great for walking to things around central SF and the rooms and bathrooms are nicely appointed. We stayed near the elevator and found the floor to be very quiet, even there.

Good location; pleasant staff; hotel and furnishings a tad shabby, but comfy.

Perfect stay. everything was close and we only took a taxi twice. room and staff were great and very helpful. Recommended stay.

Staff was very friendly. Good value for a hard to find room in San Francisco. (two beds)

I was happily surprised by this find. The room was clean and the best part is it was quiet! The door is super thick. Probably the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at, whatever they did as far as preventing sound from traveling from room to room they did a good job at. You cannot open the window because we were on the 7th floor, so no fresh air but you can turn the fan on or A/C. It is super close to Union Square.

This hotel sometime has great deal, if you get deal, this hotel is best in this area!

The Orchard Hotel was lovely. Small, Clean, Nice hotel centrally located a couple blocks from Union Sq. Right near the cable car to get to fishermans wharf and any other destination. Staff was super friendly. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Great location near Union Square with the tram passing close by. Staff were helpful and friendly. Didn't use any of the drinking or dining services but the beds were really comfortable.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have any sort of view but that didn't matter. The bath products were nice, and bathroom was really nice. My favorite thing was the robes.

The Hotel was clean and staff pretty friendly and helpful. Just takes a bit of time to get your car back from valet, that was the only set back but very nice hotel.

Nice hotel with a good sized room. Great location and friendly people at reception. We would stay here again

Concierge service was excellent and very helpful throughout our 2-day stay! Surprisingly quiet given its location. Very comfortable and spacious room. Great location near trolley stop and multiple restaurants nearby. Easy to walk to Ferry Building or Fisherman's Wharf if you are up for the hills!

A very nice boutique hotel with outstanding staff, good downtown location. Great for business, a 15 minute cab ride from the waterfront. If you can't take hills, SF is not the place to go walking; I walked one evening to Filmore St to the Sheba Cafe for jazz and Ethiopian food and got a pretty good aerobic workout (but the food and music made it worthwhile). Breakfast was good but not great; coffee was very good (always important for me), eggs and toast good, but bacon was overdone and fresh fruit was unripe. The wait staff was so friendly, I didn't mind too much. Overall, a superb place for the value. I'd recommend this place highly and would definite go back again.

Great doormen, friendly, front desk ppl informative, room was clean, neat, and organized well. Very happy with stay there.

My fifth stay at the Orchard. The professionalism of the staff, the quality of rooms, it's central location- all make this hotel such a pleasant experience.

This hotel was exceptionally priced and very convenient (2 blocks) from Union Square. Front desk staff were very helpful and always had good recommendations for local restaurants as well. I also appreciated the fact that they very green concious. Highly recommend for a nice stay in San Francisco.

I just loved the staff. Everyone was super helpful. The room was amazing! The view wasn't the greatest, but I didn't get the hotel for the view. The bed was comfortable and the furniture and overall feel of the room was very relaxing. I just LOVED it! Thank you!

Good room size

The room was big for SF. The beds were fantastic. We stayed in a room with 2 "twin" beds but they were bigger than a twin . the bathroom was nice and big and the room had great city views. Will def. stay here again our next time in the city.

My stay was ok. I had to call the front desk because my next door neighbors were so loud. After the call the noise just got worse. I wasn't able to sleep very well. The noise didn't stop until after 4am. I was very tired the next morning. I was also very disappointed that the hotel didn't send security up and make my neighbors friends leave. The front desk just called them and that made things a little worse I think. I would stay there again but if this was to happen again, I would never come back. For the money I paid, It should be much more pleasant. I am hoping to have another chance someday soon. Everything about the hotel was great except for the noise from my neighbors. I was disgusted by them. I don't think after paying so much that any guest should ever have to endure what I did from my neighbors. That part was horrible. Over all though, the hotel did everything to accommodate me and make my stay nice. If the hotel hadn't been so full, I would've wanted another room. Thanks for doing what you could. KM

We loved the Orchard hotel, it's small, comfortable, very classic and traditional in decor and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was large by most standards with tub and shower. We never heard a sound from any other guests so the rooms are well insulated. The view from the 9th floor is uninteresting other buildings, but in San Francisco we didn't stay in our room and look out the window! Only thing missing was outgoing front desk service. They were helpful but not overly welcoming or service minded, but the bellman made up for their lack of courtesy. We would definitely stay again in this hotel and location as transportation was easy to access as well.

Booked very last minute for an event in the city... super friendly service, the room was good size, clean and the location is so easy. Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. It is at the base of Knob Hill and is a very safe and clean area. You are central and walking distance from all the popular sites San Francisco has to offer. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We had two over sized twin beds in our room, and the beds were more the size of a full bed. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the staff was excellent. There is a coffee shop and a restuarant in the base of the hotel. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

What a gem! Rooms are large and well insulated, with almost no street noise audible. Large bathroom was a pleasant surprise, as well. 2 blocks from Union Square, 50 feet from cable car stop. Only minus here is that the onsite restaurant doesn't serve lunch or dinner, only light snacks, so room service is pretty much non-existent. If you're willing to go out for food, there are many restaurants within a couple of blocks of the hotel.

Very nice place - at the top of Union Square, right on the Cable Car line. Staff was very helpful. The restaurant wasn't fully open (small menus for breakfast and dinner), but there are many restaurants within an easy walk.

Had a great 3 night stay here as part of a 4 week US vacation. Staff were excellent-friendly, knowledgable and very happy to help out. Rooms were clean, large and bed very comfortable. Really well run establishment.

The Hotel was fine, but it was not the hotel we thought we had booked into. I then found out that the Orchard has a newer hotel down the street. The lobby in this hotel left much to be desired. The room was nice, but no fitness centre or ambiance at the hotel for the money. We had an issue with the toilet and could not get anyone to help us. The front desk said that the cleaning staff was just coming in and they likely didn't have enough people to help us out. !?!? I asked them to bring a plunger up and we would do it ourselves. They sent a maid up with a plunger and she left us to it. Not cool. We paid a lot of money for the hotel. We ended up spending a 3rd night that we had open at a hotel around the corner that was way better. Sorry guys. Nice clean room and friendly staff for the most part but service around our clogged toilet and lack of facilities made it not worth the $.

Cable car at the corner, Union Square with shops and restaurants a short hop or walk. I would return.

Fantastic little hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful (full of local knowledge to give us guidance on were to go and when). Location was great, just up from Union Square and right next to a Cable car stop. Only problem was that we were at the back of the Hotel next to an alley that was used by service trucks so Monday to Friday, expect to be woken between 2-3 in the morning. Would recommend a room away from the back. Saying that we had a great stay.

Great stay, just don't attempt to use the guest computer to print up your boarding passes. Was attempting to do so, but ancient electronics that would take too long. Left without passes due to Frustration!
