Service was good and they had nice breakfasts on both mornings that we were there.

The staff was friendly and very nice. The hotel was super clean. The breakfast was very very good. I like the bowl of apples on table for you at any time. I especially loved the freshly baked cookies for you at the hotel desk. As many as you like too...I will recommend this place and I will stay there again (my 1st choice) if I'm back in the neighborhood...A rating from 1-10? I give it a 15!!!!

I love that they had 24 hour hot tea and coffee and not to mention chocolate chip (fresh baked) cookies! They were super kid friendly. Everyone was nice and smiling. The HOT breakfast in the morning was super delicious. My kids loved making their own waffles.

I love love love this hotel. I read the reviews beforehand but I don't see how some reviews are low. The breakfast was a huge surprise. There was so much variety for a FREE breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond my weird request. I had a suite and I loved it. My sister had a double bed she loved hers too. Plus the breakfast rooms stays open all night for coffee and tea or If you just want to hang out instead of in the room. I would DEFINITELY stay again. Thanks so much! We stayed In room 233.

I was in town for a family event, sharing my room with another adult and 3 children, while other family members stayed at the same hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, and also very responsive when minor problems did occur. A toilet flusher broke and an air conditioner needed servicing, but the staff took care of these problems immediately and cheerfully.. Hotel is close to the I-90 exit, so major roads and numerous places to eat and shop are nearby. Rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast amenities were nice. Comfortable lobby too, with books for guests to borrow. The whole staff works hard to make things pleasant. No complaints.

Everything about the hotel was great: the rooms, the staff, the convenient location right off the interstate, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet and located to good restaurants. I would definitely recommend it to others and plan to stay there again.

Good large clean rooms and food

Based on the reviews, I thought I would be entering a place for quiet respite and a much needed rest. Little did I know what I was in for. Unruly guests were carousing to all hours. The very walls smelt of smoke and grime. The carpets reeked of stench. Only when I left this place could I finally catch a breath of fresh air. The hotel is stale, dank and smelly. Stay here if you want to see vermin crawling about your headboard.

Fine hotel for the one-night stay on my business trip. The carpet in room was a little dirty (probably just from normal wear and tear) and decor maybe a little outdated, but no real issues. Decent amenities with mini-fridge and microwave in room and the free breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Very well maintained and comfortable, great breakfast, we will try and staay with this chain whenever possible......

Love the place! Stayed in much more pricey motels in the last week, not as thoughtful as this Country Inn.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the air conditioner unit was very close to one of the beds and blew directly on whoever was lying on that side. Also, we found a leftover undergarment from a previous guest behind the curtains.

Booked the room based on the recommendation of a relative we were visiting.Outward appearances were all fine. The carpetting in the room, however, was way overdue for cleaning or replacement and the wallpaper in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. Talked to the front desk clerk and was shown the room next door which was in similar shape. Clerk stated that the carpet was cleaned twice a year. Obviously this is insufficient. Next time we'll be staying elsewhere.

When we arrived, we found out they don't allow rollaways for our room because of fire hazard, but the front desk was able to fine a last minute suite that had a pullout couch. The room upcharge was just slightly higher than a rollaway would have been. The front desk worked hard to accommodate our family. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! We have 3 kids and they enjoyed the pool and nearby "cheeseburger in paradise" and movie theather

peeling wallpaper in bath. Needs to be updated. Room would not cool. Moved us when we complained.

A very comfortable room. The front desk staff were allways there. Great restaurant sharing same parking lot. Huge menu with specials.

One minor disappointment was the fact that the pool was out of order. Otherwise, all was great. The staff person at the desk on Friday and Saturday evenings was fantastic.

Location was convenient for a volleyball tournament we were attending. There was plenty of shopping and there were plenty of restaurants in the area. Staff was more than attentive and the rooms were wonderful. The bedding was as good as any luxury hotel I've been in.

I was there for a business trip. The staff was extremely helpful in finding all of the places I needed to go. They printed out directions and always asked how I was each time I re entered the hotel. Everything was clean and neat. They even had cookies for the guests at the end of the day. The breakfast was nice too. Thank you for making my stay easy and enjoyable.

Country Inn & Suites in Elgin , IL is a great value. They've put great new flat screen televisions in all of the rooms and they've upgraded the quality of the sheets, to that of a much more expensive hotel. Staff was very nice too.

Nice pool/hot tub. Very clean lobby. Good breakfast. Received 10% off at the restaurant next door. Definately worth the money.

Great people and rooms. Only complaint was pool was tiny and too green for me to swim in.

We were very pleased with our stay. Our room was ready early which worked out for us because we would be arriving late. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were nice and the internet wireless was very fast but the Spa was closed for repairs. Breakfast was okay also. Not bad hotel but not anything to get exicted about.

I love this hotel!!! It's great for the price, this is the only place I'll stay in Elgin. Clean and comfy!! Try jimmys next door they have amazing food!!

Clean, friendly atmosphere; comfortable beds; great location. We were very pleased with our stay.

Recently stayed two days at the hotel. Wonderful friendly service. Hotel is immaculately clean. The continental breakfast served each day goes above and beyond the normal danish and juice with eggs, a protein, sausage one day, ham the next, waffles, etc. Also really impressed that staff was willing both days to print out mapquest directions to get us around town. Overall a wonderful two day stay. 4.75 stars.

Greeted very graciously when we arrived around 11pm, was SO disappointed that the hot tub was closed for repairs, but no way Hotels dot Com could have told me that. Room warm, quiet, clean, all the amenities. The King size bed was particularly snuggly with a great comforter, black-out blinds kept the day light out well. Breakfast wasn't anything special. The usual menu items--oatmeal, cold cereal, make-your-own waffle, juices, coffee, milk , tea. Steam table of eggs, sausage and fried potatoes was cold. We later used their 10% off deal at the Chop House across the parking lot, had a great steak. Made a few requests at the front desk. Again, very gracious and helpful.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. They even provided me with paper plates to accomodate me when I purchased chinese food from a nearby carry-out restaurant. The hot breakfast was very good. The bathroom was very clean. There was no noise in the facility. The king size bed was comfortable.
