The price was right but the place was a bit run down and the room very small. The bed was flat out uncomfortable. It seemed like an old mattress. The room itself was clean and had a good hot shower. It was nice they had a flat screen t.v. The breakfast was fine but they need to watch the freshness of the fruit they put out. I found a moldy orange in the basket of fruit at breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful and it was nice that there was a covered pool.

Everything was very nice except the hotel is only about 200 yards from a major train line that had trains running every half hour.

Don't know how they pass fire inspection. Could not get any fresh air completely sealed pane windows. No door closers. This would have been perfect at around 45 dollars a nite.

Not a good place to stay if you are a light sleeper. Lots of trains, all night...

Nice enough for the price, but we would not choose to stay here again.

The hotel was very clean; the staff was very helpful about restaurants to eat at, the location of various sites, etc.

The hotel was clean and well maintained - pool and spa were exceptionally clean. The room and breakfast were about what I expected. Having stayed in this town previously I would say this one is a bit off the beaten path and I feel like it was a bit pricey considering it wasn't much of an upgrade over some of the other hotels I've stayed at.

stressful, because of location and condition of the hotel. was traveling alone with small children and didn't feel safe.

We had a great 2-night stay in December with our 2 young kids, and there are so many good things about this hotel. Only 2 issues to relate: I'm quite sure that I was told on the phone that our suite would have a door between the rooms, which I thought was surprisingly generous. There wasn't a door, but that was OK, it worked out just fine. Also, It had an "enclosed" pool & hot tub, which I thought was the same as an indoor pool. But no, you have to go outside (in our case it was freezing cold) to get to it, because it was once an outdoor pool that became enclosed. Just outside of the hotel door, I noticed ice on the sidewalk where water had dripped or leaked out of the exterior side of the hotel wall, so I was careful. On the way back, however, I slipped and fell! Fortunately, I was only shaken up and not hurt (though I had a knee scrape which would've been worse but was cushioned by my long coat). I called the front desk from my room and told the clerk, who was extremely sincere, sympathetic & apologetic, and said he'd get someone to do something about it. But the next night, when I went to the hot tub again, it was still icy from that water. Everything else was truly great, and I certainly would stay there again!

We picked this hotel because of the price and only the price. Best Western has never disappointed me in the past and this time was no different. The room was small but we didn't visit Flagstaff to sit in the hotel room. The bed was comfortable and the decor was nice. The woman at check in was less than friendly but everyone else we came across who worked there was nice. The breakfast room was better than expected too. The only disappointing thing about the hotel was the pool. They boast about an indoor pool which we were excited about. What they don't mention is that the pool is in another building, separate from the hotel. So yes, we could've gone swimming but we would've had to walk back through the cold and snow, dripping wet, to get back to our room. So we skipped the pool. Other than that, this hotel was better than what we had anticipated for the price we paid.

Nice 2 room, 2 bath suites for cheep

Staff was very good. We didn't realize train tracks were across the street. It seemed a train or 2 come by every hour. Was somewhat disturbing and woke my wife up.

The facility is old and the rooms are small. But for the money it was a fair deal for Flagstaff. I would stay again.

The hotel staff were wonderfull. They were all very pleasant. The hotel room was much smaller than anticipated, and could really use some major updating.

Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful people at the front desk. Across the street from the railroad tracks, but with the vent on in the room the noise was very minimal.

This hotel really isn't close to much. There are so many hotels better priced for everything, nicer, and in better locations. The pool was the size of my backyard pool. Breakfast not very good.

Advertised microwave and refrig in each room/ only available in King Suite or Family Suites/ ice machine broken

The room was pretty small since we were traveling with 2 dogs, but it was clean and well-decorated. There were many restaurants and motels along the route, so it was easy to pick up food to go. The only issue we had was with someone whose dog wouldn't stop barking in the morning, which woke everyone up. The breakfast was okay-- cold biscuits and hot gravy (not good), waffles (good), and various other breakfast items.

Stayed 2 nights. Service was solid including breakfast, but food was weak, standard cont. with some cold biscuits and hot sausage gravy. Bed needed new mattress and thicker blankets, but the latter is true for most hotels. Indoor pool and hot tub made it all worth it. Some shady guys at the Taco Bell.

We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was excellent, too.

When I checked in, the room was pretty small. But if you are just looking to stay for a night or two and not do much other than sleep and take a shower then there is nothing wrong with this hotel. I've stayed in much worse before. Would stay again if I have need of a place to stay for a night.

I have stayed at this property 3 times now and have enjoyed the stay. The indoor pool is a hit with my teenage daughter. The central location is great for easy travel to the mall and not too far to the other side of town for more shopping and restaurants. I just love Flagstaff anyway. They were great working with for having pets being allowed to stay; nice area for them as well. It is an older property but well maintained. We plan to stay again.

Our experience at the Pony Soldier Inn was a good one. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great. I like trains so the noise was not a problem, in fact I really could not hear them often. About 1am I was wakened by a loud noise. Not a Train, but a loud clap of thunder followed by a terrific lightening storm. Stayed at the window of 15 minutes watching the rain, lightening, and listening to the thunder. We left that morning but I truely enjoyed our night at The Pony Soldier.

The staff was very helpful. Told us about a great Mexican Restuarant in the area"Salsa Brava" The room was clean. Only complaint was the bathtub was slow draining when showering it would fill and fan in restroom made loud noise when turning restroom light on. Other than these 2 minor problems or stay was great! It was right on Route 66 close to shops and resturants,Riordon Mansion and Lowell's Observatory. Would definitly stay there again!

Cet hôtel fonctionne sous l'égide de la chaîne Best Western qui offre toujours des prestations de qualité. En ce qui concerne cet établissement la grande surprise vient de la taille des chambres, bien plus petites que les autres hôtels best Western. Arrivés avec deux valises assez grandes, nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à nous organiser, les valises prenant ce qu'il restait de place au sol. Nous avons été désagréablement surpris.
