Could be better. Best thing about hotel was the location.. right across from the beach. Just little things that added up diminished the enjoyment of the experience. It was nice that we got an early check in, but why no towels? Had to ask a couple times for that. The condensation from the A/C dripped on the headboard and right on your head when you're trying to sleep. The hair dryer pulled right out of the wall and the shower is set up where you can't help but get water on the floor. This is in the room we had to move to since our original room would not lock from the outside. To the hotel's credit they did fix it that lock while we were there. I know it's an old building but some paint and rehab work could go a long way. Staff was polite for the most part.. but overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Service ,cleanliness was worst..would not think of staying again

They have NO air conditioning like they advertise, all they do have is a fan that doesnt even really work. It gets so humid in your room the bed sheets stick to you at night. The free wifi they offer only works in the hotel next doors lobby. The maid comes and wakes you up at 9 every morning to clean your room. The rooms are super small probably 12*12. Its just a NO , I will never go back.

Loved the location but the hotel was very dirty. black mold in the showers. I rejected three rooms before finding one that would work which I had to clean.

The room was very questionable.... There was water marks all over the walls... The lamps and light shades were knocked over like someone through stuff all around the room... It was very cold.. Cold air blew on me all night... The bathroom was very gross also... I wouldn't stay here again...

The outside looked unkempt but when we walked in it was clean and ok. The room was small and some thing were broken( blinds, control, drawers) but bed & pillows were comfortable. Service is terrible! You checkin at hotel next door, If you needed towels you need to go to the next door hotel to get them! :-(

If you want a room with' 2 full sized beds', and share it with 4 people, you will get charged extra for the 'extra 2 people', because those rooms are meant for 2 people only. To check in, we had to go to the building next door, then buzz into Hawaii hotel whenever we wanted to go in. There were no elevators, so we carried our luggages up a flight of stairs. The floor was dirty, so we had to wear slippers whenever we weren't in bed. At first, we thought we didn't have warm water in the shower, because we turned the knob all the way to the left, but we realized that the lever has to be in the middle, pointing up, to get the hottest water. The complementary breakfast is from 7am-9am, but it doesn't taste very good at all. It was a good hotel for people who go out and spend as little time in there as possible. The beach was nice and there were a lot of nice restaurants and CVS/Walgreens right around the block. It is very relaxing vacation until you take the bus to South Beach for more liveliness.

We ask for an extra pillow,we were told they had none. We ask for a parking pass, we were told we couldn't get one. The room had stains all over the walls but the bathroom was nice. We were very close to the beach which made up for the dirty room and rude service. Would not recommend unless you are on a very tight budget and everything else is full.

general little inn

Don't go there, it's cheap, but it's not worth it.

This hotel was the most affordable for the location for two friends wanting to party on the town. The service was friendly, and the room was great compared to what we expected. We hardly stayed in the room so no complaints!

my god it was the slumiest run down hotel ? motel i have ever been in . the first room had NO lamp shade on the lamp and the second rooms lamp shade was upside down. i felt like it should be rented by the hour.. very disapointed. it had paint bubbling on the walls and in some areas a saw mold under the paint .

The shower glass was the dirtiest I have ever seen. You can smell bleach every where (not a bad thing, bleach kills everything). There was a mini fridge (door wouldn't close because of the ice build up from the freezer. All this being said it wasn't that bad, don't stay if you are used to 3+ stars but its fine for a night or two. The beach was across the road and grochery store was a 5 min walk

Not a good place to sleep stay here if you just want to party all night or if you are a heavy sleeper, room is clean and comfortable if you bring your own blankets.

Didn't sleep at all, paper thin walls and windows could hear doors open and slamming people walking on the tile floors all night, walking in the room upstairs sounded as if they would crash thru the ceiling. Room was clean but it was cold and no blankets or heat had to wear extra cloth to stay warm. Never again, don't recommend it.

Needs clean mops and clean air it smells terrible.

The staff gave horrible service the moment we tried checking in. The ladies were rude and unhelpful.

Nothing about the outside of the building is attractive or welcoming but the inside wasn't as bad. You have to deal with the personnel at the Surf Motel next door- which is a bit inconvenient. My first room was SCARY. The walls were badly painted and certain parts near the bathroom door were rotten. Shortly ater I turned the AC on water started flowing from "somewhere" on to the floor. I asked to switch rooms and they did with no hassle. Surprisingly my 2nd room was WAY better. The beds and pilllows were actually very comfy and the walls were painted nicely. The only complaint I had was that the shower walls and curtain were not cleaned properly which grossed me out. Also, in the morning it was hard to sleep because I could hear every foot step and door close. The beach is a few feet away from the front door which was so nice and there's a pharmacy and eateries within walking ditsance. For the price and location, I would recommend this hotel to ADULTS ONLY and only if you just need a place to sleep for a night or two. I got lucky with that 2nd room but that may not always be the case so RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Needs more remodeling. The outside looks outdated. The inside looks better considering it was worse before but I'm sure it could keep potentially get better one room at a time. Unfortunately the halls and rooms don't have sound insulation so you hear everything from the halls inside into the room alot

This hotel is very old. The standard double room was tiny. Somehow I ended up with two doubles even though I booked for a Queen. If you're looking to stay in a cheap place right on the beach this place is for you. It is directly on the beach however you have to be careful with the parking, you do have to pay the meters during the day. There is a small fee included when you book for an electric safe for you to use in the room but the safe didn't even work in my room. Overall, it's easy on the wallet and right on the beach. I'm glad it was only a one night stay for me though.

This hotel is literally brand new and changing management. The location could my be better. It's right by the ocean and the neighborhood has a lot to offer. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the stuff is super friendly and helpful. I really recommend this hotel. My only complaint is that the maid comes knocking on your door regardless of the "do not disturb" sign quiet early. And the walls are a bit too thin.

I just needed a spot for a day to stay before I could check into my time share. Staying at this hotel was by far the worse decision I have ever made regarding vacation planning. The only good thing about it was that it was right across the street from the beach. The shower didn't work, the room smelled bad, and I didn't even want to touch the bed let alone lay in it. The only time I will be around this hotel again is when the go to the beach right across the street from it.

The Hawaii hotel has a great location, right next to the beach in North Miami Beach. However, the price was what you would expect to pay for a really nice hotel, and it was incredibly rundown. We had to ask for towels and there was falling plaster in the room.

The people try to make us have a good time. The neighborhood I the best but the rooms are very small.

Beautiful trail for a Jog. You step out and you're on the beach. Had to wait bout 4 hours and them had to instruct them how to fix wifi. Stay here for the great location. NOTHING ELSE IS GOOD!

Not for the feint of heart; decent enough for a short stay as long as you aren't real picky. Quite dated but rate is ok and location is ehhh...ok Could be quite nice w/ some updates.

The worst hotel in my life.

What a dump this place hasn't changed in 50 years

GREAT LOCATION. I did not like the fact that every morning at 8am I had to wake up and put money in the parking meter so they will not tow my car.

We got it for two nights. First room we found a cockroach so moved to 2nd. The air had leaked and the sheets were all wet and stained. 3rd room was ok. Carpet in stairs and corridors are disgustingly dirty, probably not cleaned in years. Elevators don't work so you carry your own bags if you're in the second floor. Guy at reception was extremely nice and helpful, he can surely get a job at a better hotel...

Dirty, mildew smell, no wash cloths, shower don't close...blinds broke, birds outside of window...bird mess all over the window seal, noisey, no security at front desk, no desk clerk, no elevator, no one speaks english, terrible place to stay...I would recommend you sleep on a park bench before you lay on the dirty sheets with no bedspread....absolutely HORRIBLE

Had a great time in Miami. Hotel Hawaii is what I expected. The actual hotel is very small, a bit run down. The hotel sign was not visible from the road. Unfortunately for the hotel, the other hotels nearby are either closed for total renovation or have been abandoned. It is walking distance from the beach. I would not recommend this hotel to a family with smaller children. Parking is not free. City owned meters. Make sure you pay for parking. It really needs a good make over. Staff were extremely friendly and very cooperative. Good food nearby. AC works really well and it has a very small fridge.

The hotel is a Lil older and the surrounding hotels are too, but the room was clean and smelled like bleach and fabuloso which was a plus! It's a small room but do able! Check in was at the neighboring hotel!! Check in was at 3pm so for a few hours I was screwed! Staff was polite and helpful... It's better than you think and the price is great!!! Have fun we went to party so the room really didn't matter spent 5 hours a day in it!!! Sooo book it! Save money for the expensive food and drinks on South Beach!!!

The only thing about this room I loved was the beach was across the street. The room looked nothing like the pictures. It smelled!! The Hotel was gross. I do not recommend it.

The door was not closing all the way. Main entrance door always open and no one at the front desk

If you want to spend only your sleeping hours rmthen this hotel is good for you. Almost no comfort, clean enough, but only one minute to walk to the beach.

It was great, the hotel is very cheap and it's a very good hotel. If your looking for a place to shower, sleep n watch tv before you go to bed, this hotel is perfect. Don't expect no 5 star service or anything like that tho. We woke up everyday and went to the beach which is merely seconds away and walked around the area. We even rented bikes and road down to south beach.

This hotel is pretty scary looking from the outside! First of all, there is no sign posted on the outside of the building, and it therefore hard to find. Once you find it, you learn that you have to check in at another hotel, which is two buildings down. Parking can be hard to find, and it is not free. The room itself is very, very basic and the beds are small. On the positive side, this hotel is right across the street from a beautiful beach! The hotel staff is friendly, and they do offer a continental breakfast - very simple, but a nice touch indeed!

I had to move to another room at midnight when I came inlack of hot water I had to move to next door hotel to a room probably was for hotel workers I had to clean the ac filter it was royalty blocked and filthy nobody from the personnel offered. His help moving my laguge. The lever on the first bathroom was not functioning righte and in the other bathroom the shwerhead was liking allover elevator is not functioning therefore I had to drag my bags climbing stirswith back problems all what I wanted is to take a shower. And go to sleep its ended by me working for it and paying for it too on the check-out the menager was occupied with a group coming in and didn't. Have time to tall to me and I couldn't. Wait cause I had 250 miles droving back to work. I was a hotel manager up till not so long ago dealing. With 150 very problematic human rooms very distructive too but we took care of maintenance on day by day naves in this case the deal is the tourists if that the case u r going to loose them. I hope u r going to pay attention to what I wrote. You and respond accordingly.
