Very pleasant, it may not be a 4 star hotel but staff are very accomidating and friendly and rooms are comfy and cozy. Definitely definitely worth the money. Great location, easy to get anywhere. The occasional down side like no shower pressure but I will absolutely stay here again! Loved it

Though the hotel was grossly outdated and in great need of updates, the service and location were superb for our attendance at the Ford World Men's Curling Championship. I would stay again.

I love Victoria and love to stay at places that are close to the town, but not in the town. Pau's Motor Inn was a great surprise! Clean, friendly, convenient, and great food in the restaurant. I especially liked the wonderful people that work there. They were all courteous and informative.

It worked well for me. My room was very basic, oldish, but it was clean, the desk staff were helpful and friendly, the restaurant breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. I needed to be close to the parliament buildings for the marathon start, it was a only a short cab ride away.

This hotel is very old-fashioned and although the rooms were comfortable and clean the room smelled a bit like the building used to be a home for old people (I don't know if it did or not). There were also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and breakfast was not included in the room rate.

Quite satisfactory. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant attached.Will use thus hotel again.

It was just an overnight stay and was disappointed that there were no room airconditioners.

We were allowed to keep our car in the parking lot longer than our actual stay at the hotel and that was appreciated. We loved that the walk to our place of business was close and interesting. The reservations were easy and the front desk very helpful and friendly. We did, however, find the room most stuffy, even with the air on. The bed was hard. I had a shower at night and it was fine. My hustband had his in the morning and it went from hot to cold to hot to cold, cold cold - asume it kept changing as adjoining rooms turned on their showers.

My only complaint about my stay is the presence of SEAGULLS SQUAWKING any time of the day or night. Early morning wake-up calls unnecessary as the gulls do it! I was told that the city is trying to deal with the problem throughout the city!

The key card to the Courtyard doesn't work, despite trying 5 different cards. Someone found the answer - a brick holding the door open. The door key cards were often a miss, despite different cards. Frustration! No asir conditioning so OK in shoulder season, but not summer.

The locks don't respond to the key cards. Tried 4 different cards, friends tried three before finding one that worked. Even then, it was hit & miss on the room door. Entrance to Courtyard A was a brick holding the door open because NOBODY could open it with a key. So anyone in the courtyard had go upstairs, then down the stairs to the rooms. Irritation!

Hotel was nothing fancy, but it was clean, safe, and comfortable, with mini fridge, but no microwave. Location is about a 10 min walk to the touristy stuff instead of in the middle of it for twice the cost. Hotel also has an attached "drive in" restaurant which was great food, great price. Hostess was very friendly and helpfull with getting us a roll out bed for the daughter. Stayed with my wife and 2 yr old daughter for the weekend while we toured the city on foot. Very happy and will definitely choose Paul's again.

We stayed twice in Paul's Motor Inn and the rooms were always very clean. The hotel is located very close to Victoria's center (~10-15min walk) and is easily accessible with a car. Additionally, parking is free. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Paul's Motor Inn is a very good stay for the money. We'd definitely stay again.

The room is very stinky & the bathroom is dirty as well, plus it is always noisy outside by the housekeepers and her cart :( had a bad experience when we stayed here

Its a good location and wonderful service. No remote for the tv butt really didn't watch tv anyways.

We had a very good stay. The only negative comment we have about your hotel is that the stairway behind the office is filthy.

Friendly staff. Great location. I will stay at Paul's again in the future.

Very basic and no frills, but the room was clean enough and the front desk was very helpfull with late checkout and letting us park there a few hours longer. Best rates and only 10 minute walk to heart of downtown. Would stay again.

Friendly staff, cheap and the free parking was a bonus!

Room was ok, pillows terrible. I was only in the room to sleep as I was dining and catching up with family rest of time. Wouldn't stay there if I needed to use room during day. Needed to drive as walk to downtown a little far at night by oneself. Manager asked about my stay , I told him about pillows, he shrugged his shoulders! Can't complain about the price or cleanliness.

It was okay but not as good as it use to be!!! I had asked for a main floor room which was confirmed but available when we arrived. The room was made up really late every day and we had to ask the maid for kleenex, etc...

This is my second stay at this hotel and I was happy with the room and overall experience.The hotel is close to all amenities and to the downtown and to the arts districts.

Due to originally not knowingly speaking with the property itself, some needs were not approached - e.g. disability requiring ground floor not understood - and not addressed upon arrival as not available. No elevator. Restaurant (excellent) closed at 3 PM. However, great location, close to all amenities, relatively quiet, but needs some upgrading - carpets, furniture etc., but comfortable and very clean overall. Hard mattresses. Older staff members helpfull, caring. Walking to chinatown and shopping. Great Transit service on the doorstep. Good rates.

I was in town for the weekend and didn't want to rent a car so needed a hotel close to a work venue and this met the need. The hotel may be a little old and old fashioned but the hotel on site served great food at great hours. The immediate area was a little intimidating but safe enough and just a few minutes walk to great restaurants and shopping. The only concern I would have staying here again would be if I was there at the peak of the summer as there is no air conditioning but the beginning of May it was perfect. It was great having a safe and a mini-fridge in the room. And the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle from the airport will drop you and pick you up from Paul's Motor in so met all my needs. Very happy with my stay.

It was like a lightly-cushioned slab of concrete. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant though.

Paul's is nice inexpensive place to stay. The attatched restaurant serves great meals and bar is a great place to relax in. It is a great vintage motel.

The front desk was very friendly and made me feel welcome room clean. TV pretty small.

The room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. However, at 2 a.m. there was an awful caterwauling of an apparently drunken woman yelling obscenities for about 10 minutes - more than enough to disturb sleep of all around. Then there were ppl responding to said drunken woman talking outside hotel rooms and still disturbing sleep. It was NOT a good night. I would not stay here again

Paul's Motor Inn is clean, convenient and not up-scale. I highly recommend requesting a room in the Courtyard; it is the hidden gem of this Inn and would certainly be beautiful in the summer. Overall, you can't go wrong with Paul's, unless you're used to staying in posh hotels.
