Great new room, incredible price, and close enough to the strip. But far enough away to feel more like a resort. Great pools. Didn't need to leave the property

Our room looked nothing like the one in the picture above. I guess when you book through hotels.com you get their old outdated rooms. Good luck finding a cocktail waitress in the casino, they are scarce. When you do find one tip her well so she keeps coming back. Not that you shouldn't tip well otherwise; we always do.

Overall we totally loved the Palms! There are 2 pools to use for the mood you're looking for. The main one is a fun & lively atmosphere, mostly 20-40 year olds, not many kids. The Palms Place pool is a much more calm atmosphere which was perfect to nurse our hangover! While we know that Vegas can be expensive, drinks by the pool were at least $14/each for a regular single shot drink. By mid-afternoon, you're dipping into your gambling funds! Also, staff was super friendly & helpful. Room service was quick and reasonable.

Only complaint is that it is off the strip so a taxi anywhere is going to be at least 15 bucks one way. Ditch Fridays and Saturdays was worth the stay itself! So much fun.

Dealers and casino workers could be a little more friendly!

Much nicer rooms than expected. Very spacious and modern. Beds were super comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel buffet had hot, delicious, quality breakfast options (not stale crusty pastries or anything). Also has a small food court with several fast food choices downstairs. I think there are 4 different nightclubs/bars within the hotel, 2 of which i visited. I think they have a movie theater too. Definitely recommend for the younger crowd to stay here. Essentially never have to leave the hotel to get your fix of Vegas because this hotel had it all.

Overall it is a solid 4. I was in the old tower this trip so the look of the room was not as current as the other towers.

The remodeled room was VERY clean and VERY comfortable! We will stay there again. The 24 Seven Café has reasonable prices and excellent service. Could only find one $5 blackjack table and I should have known better--the dealer was not friendly at all. Should have stayed away from him because he was the only negative part of my trip (and unfortunately the last part). I like to play blackjack for the entertainment and friendliness of the dealer and the other players. I was bummed to have to leave the hotel to play blackjack. But Gold Coast is across the street and has much friendlier dealers.

Both the good and the bad noted by other reviewers were found in my stay. I arrived early, and the friendly reception desk people checked me in and gave me a free upgrade to a studio suite inn Palms Place. So far, so good. I noticed that the bath mat was soaked with water, and assumed they'd overlooked it in preparing the room and would replace it on their next time through. When I returned at the end of the day, the mat was still there, soaked, so I tried calling Housekeeping, and the Front Desk. I got no answer at either place. Tried again later, and was told housekeeping would be there in 15 minutes with a new mat. It was actually 90 minutes before a dry bath mat was down on the floor. An hour later, that mat was soaked, and I realized there was a leak on the floor, though I couldn't see from where. When I checked out, I told housekeeping (cleaning the next room) about the leak, and they seemed unsurprised. They seem to have a maintenance problem, and staff shortages (at least at night), but they're also friendly and helpful on an individual basis. The room itself was attractive, with a nice view of the Strip. I'd stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Midweek prices were appealing.

Loved staying at The Palms. Great for a younger crowd. I went alone and met a lot of people. The pool was great as they have several. I was in Vegas for 5 days. Two of them on weekdays. I got the greatest deal on a room at The Palms. It was so worth it. Love that they have $5 black jack tables (at least during the week) something you won't find on the strip. Loved not having the craziness of being on the strip. Only downside was I went the week of memorial day weekend so I had to find a cheaper room for Fri-Sun. Otherwise I will be back! LOVED IT! And my basic king bed hotel room was bigger than my studio apartment.

maybe when the celebrities and athletes drove the traffic to the Palm it was a hot property, now this is now just another LV hotel in a BAD location

This is a great value Hotel, by providing premier service and comfort at an affordable price. We will definately be coming back. I highly recommend the Palms.

Hotel is far from the strip... I had left a huge cup in my room to which I had payed for so I could use for water and ice and housekeeping decided to throw out without my permission, then when I told front desk, they chuckled and sent up 4 glass cups to which the person placed in the bathroom... ugggh needless to say I wasn't going to use them....other than that it was an okay stay

Every year me and my college guy friends do a trip to Las Vegas. We try to stay some place different every year. So this year we decided on the palms!! The hotel was great especially the pool parties. The only draw back I had was that being a single man in Vegas I requested a king bed; but when I arrived they stuck me in a room with double queen beds! Normally on any other trip this would have been fine but not This trip!!

Too far away from strip, staff unfriendly

The hotel was nice and the staff was pleasant. Just far enough off the strip. The pool was nice too.

Out of a hundred or so hotels I have stayed in, this is only one of two that I would not go back to. I understand that it is in Las Vegas but that does not mean I want to sleep in the middle of a club. Our room was literally shaking with the music that blared until 5 AM...yes, 5 AM. I ended up trying to sleep in the bathroom with no success. I was told that rooms farther from the pool are not as terrible but our stay was literally miserable. Multiple calls to the front desk resulted in an offer for a $30 food credit. Thanks but no thanks unless it is for something I could have stuffed in my ears. Unless you plan on staying out ALL NIGHT and don't care about sleeping anyway (because the music starts back up at the pool during the day), this is not the hotel for you. I won't be going back.

We stayed at one of the updated South Beach inspired theme room. Quite nice and modern. Like most Casio resorts, they charge a $22/night of resort fee per night on top of your basic rate. However, out breakfast buffet and wifi was included. Great value and cool hip vibe. Great pick if you have a car or else you would have to rely on thier shuttle to the strip

I was a little indecisive to book this hotel but went for it since MTV's "the real world" stayed here. Ha! I was actually pleasantly surpised on how satisfied I was! From the valet, the hotel clerks, free upgrade to the Ivory Tower (and they let us check in early, like 10AM). The free breakfat buffet daily was awesome! My bf loved the pool and also the bed, very comfy. I dont know why this hotel got bad reviews. I will stay here again without a doubt!

The Palms was a great place to stay. The food options were great and the buffet (especially the sunday brunch) were fantastic. Here are a few items some people might want to know: 1. If there is an event that lets out, just be sure to get to the taxi stand a bit earlier as the line will be a bit longer than normal. 2. It may be loud at night if there is an event at the pool. Diddy was hosting a party at the pool when we stayed and it was a bit noisy. We were jet lagged though so it didn't keep us up. However, some people might not like that. All other days it was very quiet and we weren't disturbed once. 3. Don't book grand canyon tours with the concierge. All the tours they offered were $50 more than just booking it online yourself. And on that note, the best option for the grand canyon is to rent a car especially if there are more than 2 people. The tour buses can take substantially longer (because they have to make more hotel stops) and if you split a car among the passengers it can be cheaper. The drive to the west rim is not difficult at all. 4. There is a free shuttle that goes to Caesars until about 8pm. If you can't make the shuttle for whatever reason, cabs to the middle of the strip (mirage/venetian) can run $15 - $20 so you might want to factor that into the cost of your trip. 5. This hotel was a lot less hectic than the hotels on the strip, but it definitely wasn't dead. It was a nice balance between peace and quiet and a fun energetic time.

Very pleasant stay. Room was spacious, clean and modern. The casino had a good feeling. Lot's of food choices. Would definitely stay there again.

I always enjoy staying at The Palms. It is off the strip but gives you everything you need to enjoy Las Vegas. The hotel is very well maintained, the staff is very efficient and willing to go the extra step to ensure your stay is enjoyable. I also would like to mention there are always random celebrities staying at The Palms that you bump into in the elevators, on the casino floors or in valet. I can't say enough about the wonderful experiences I have staying at The Palms.

Very updated bathroom, room was very clean and decor was modern. Had no issues.

I enjoyed this Hotel and everything about my stay. The only problem I had it that is that the quality of the food in the Buffet was not what I expected.

the room was so dirty we asked to be transferred but didn't get what we wanted.. the buffet was expensive yet all d food was cold.. wouldn't go back here..

Wasn't told the 2 free buffets were for breakfast only... Would have been nice to mention, who's up at 8-10 anyway? Should be free any of the 3 meals....
