Hotel stay was pleasant and met our basic needs. We needed a reasonable rate and a clean room and we got both. The better hotels in Savannah are much more expensive so we were not expecting a 4/5 star experience. Beds were very firm and squeaky but I would stay there again.

Like refrigerator and shower. Morning coffee good, breakfast so so.

The stay was good and I would use this Hotel again in the futrue.

We had 2 rooms - both supposedly non-smoking. Both reeked of cigarette smoke and other unpleasant things. We went and bought Febreeze and air freshener that didn't help much. The linens had not been changed on at least 2 of the four beds. There was a layer of grime over most of the room (e.g. phone, window sill, AC). The showers were molded and I definitely wouldn't cook in that kitchenette! The beds were hard as a rock. It is definitely not worth the amount of money they are charging. Will not be back...ever.....

Way overpriced considering there are plenty of hotels nearby that we're half the price we thought we would be within walking distance to some of Savannah's sights but that was not the case. Terrible water pressure too .

We stayed at the Extended Stay America Savannah Midtown while visiting Savannah for two days. The first concern became immediately apparent as we arrived at the property. The area around hotel was not what I would consider safe. Within one block, there were numerous pawn shops, check cashing stores, and title loan businesses. Barbed wire and barred windows were the norm for the area. While we didn't experience any problems, we were very concerned for our vehicle in the parking lot. The hotel is definitely a very low budget option. The lobby is small with two chairs for public waiting. Our room was not very clear, with the bathroom being the worst. The corners of the bathrooms has piles of dirt and old hair. Disgusting. The beds were uncomfortable. They don't have fitted bottom sheets and the sheets they use are so small, they don't stay covering the bed. Again, disgusting, The polyester bed cover was uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast was basically a cart with coffee, hot water for tea, commercial prepackage muffins, granola bars, apples, and oranges. This was our first time ever in an Extended Stay America hotel, and will be our last. For the same price (average cost for us was over $80 per night) we have stayed in much better hotels. They don't have ice, they don't provide access to a printer, they don't change the bed linen or towels during your stay, they don't empty the garbage. My advice, don't stay at the property. There are better options.

I went to Savannah for the well known St. Patrick's day festivities in 2012. I had such a good time, I was eager to book my 2013 trip. I booked my stay with Extended Stay America 6 months in advance. Upon arrival on 03/15/13 at 4:30 p.m. (check-in was 3:00 p.m.) I notice there are 10 people in the lobby waiting with their luggage for their rooms, there is a line of 6 people in front of me, there is only 1 associate working the front desk and answering the phone, and it was hot and stinky in the lobby. I booked 2 rooms, 1 was smoking (my error) the other was non-smoking. I was told that 1 room was available so far for check-in and it would be about a 30 minute wait for the 2nd room. I go to the room which I expect to smell like cigarette smoke but it also smells like an illegal substance and an unidentifiable foul odor. The hotel was too busy to notify and there were no rooms to change out with. When we were able to check into the 2nd room several hours later there were black stains on the carpet and bedspread, black stains in the shower, and a dried, red stain on the bathroom floor. The stench was not as foul in this room but it was still present in the room, hallways, lobby, and stairwell. Also, I was never told that housekeeping does not come unless you stay there for at least 8 days. The hotel was dirty, stinky, poorly staffed, too far away from the downtown area, and located in the ghetto.

Was just what we needed.

Did not meet our room request

I stayed with my girlfriend over the weekend and it was awesome. I had wanted a nonsmoking room originally but when I arrived they informed me they over booked them. We had to settle on a smoking room, but they deep cleaned it for us so it wasn't noticeable at all. The service staff was extremely nice and the hotel was in a perfect location. Overall my experience was superb.

We were very uncomfortable. The water was barely warm and one night it was actually cold. The fan in the AC/heating unit made an awful noise, like the fan was hitting something. I called their attention to it after the first night, but it was not fixed for the next night. Also there was not a newspaper available for purchase.

Would not stay again, beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Room had heavy smell of fried fish. I asked that the room be sprayed with deodorizer, however it was never done. I had to go to the front desk again and ask for something to spray the room with myself.

Excellent, we will be back.

The bed was uncomfortable and not a true queen. The location was surrounded by so many restaurants.... Bonefish, Sticky Fingers, Applebees. Very close historical sites less than three miles...

The bed was comfortable. The hotel stunk and the linens were old and had cigarette burns, that's probably part of the smell, even though we were in a smoke free room.

We were so impressed with the kindness and super politeness of the clerks on duty. They were all so helpful. Even our dogs enjoyed their stay!

We needed to be closer to SSU but another cust svc rep booked us in a 'savory' hotel that was located 45 mins away. I called a rep & she found this location that was also pet friendly @ the last minute. The desk clerk on duty was extremly helpful and genuinely pleasant.

We chose to stay in this hotel a few miles away from the historic district of Savannah in order to save a little bit of money (as staying within the historic district is very pricey.) It was a pretty horrible experience. Both nights we stayed we were rudely awakened at various points during the night/early morning by loud noises including our refrigerator making an odd clicking sound, the shower making another odd sound, random hammering, and early morning vacuuming. By the end of it, we needed a vacation from our vacation.

The stay was very nice, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The water made a noise in the mornings, but other than that, it was nice.

enjoyed it very much but did not get next day room cleanup and pillows on bed was too thin. could have had better pillows.

Had a great stay. Front desk staff was super friendly.

While there was nothing particularly egregious about the stay, there was no compelling reason I would choose to stay there again. The staff was certainly courteous and pleasant, but they're operating with either limited resources or restrictive policies. Nowhere else have i been told that they cannot provide a wakeup call. Only one other hotel I've visited neglected to provide a bottle of shampoo. The room was "tidy" but I wouldn't say clean. It was just a disappointing stay. While the price was great, in this case, I certainly got what I paid for.

The staff was friendly, but thought our sheets were not actually changed before we checked in. The housekeeper showed up at our door right after we checked in, and seemed surprised we were there already. She asked if we had enough towels, but said nothing else about the status of the room's cleanliness. It was apparent the sheets were not clean when we went to go to bed that night. Front desk staff willing to solve problem immediately. The booking agent told me over the phone that the hotel was 8 miles to walk to downtown. I said "8 miles?!" She replied "Oh no. I meant 8 minutes". Turns out it was NOT 8 minutes at all, and we had to drive.

Hotel was nice for the price and location. Watch out for leaky a/c and sticky fingers. Don't use the safe...its not safe! Over all friendly staff. If you are looking for something affordable and close to everything this is the place to stay. Just don't use the safe!

The biggest problem was the number of people staying in the hotel. A lot of families were there and would hang out in the halls. The room was in need of renovation or a serious cleaning and the furniture was uncomfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and we did not have any real problems. Even though the room was cheap, we could have done better for the money.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past five or six years. We were so disappointed when we entered our room and saw crumbs and dust on the counter, food scraps in the microwave, and in the refrigerator. After a fifteen minute wait, we were given another room that was worse. We could not believe that this was the same hotel that had provided such CLEAN, comfortable accommodations to us year after year in the past. We won't be staying there in the future.

I did not enjoy my stay at all. The smell of the hotl was awful. Smelled like smoke all throughout the hotel. There were stains on the bed comforters and floors. The beds were hard as a rock. The tub was not clean. My sister in law and I were supposed to get rooms side by side, never happened. It was awful. Never again will I go back there. Its nothing like the pictures on the internet.

Although the staff was pleasent and helpful about some minor complication, no one went out of their way. Overall the place is a cheap stay and lives up to that. Clean bathroom, clean kitchenette, clean sheets. Filthy carpet, bed rails and box spring under mattress...yeouu. Dingy hallway. Not much up keep done in years. Three miles drive to historic Savannah was okay.

it was rated a non smoking room. the room and halls reeked of smoke and need of changing of carpets and need for new paints or cleaning walls to keep smoke smell down. The sheets on the queen bed were for a double bed, and so they would not stay on, and the staff could not help except to give us more double sheets which they asked us to put on: that did not bother me except it did not solve the problem, and it made me think that others had slept on the mattress without sheets, so that was a turnoff. But in general the accomodations were somewhat adequate, but would not rec. it.

This is the hotel I always stay at when visiting Savannah, GA. The price is right for the location and overall stay. However, the quality of the service seems to be decreasing each time I stay. The night attendant told me they were out of pillows, which I found hard to believe, and if it is true then it's pathetic that they were so under stocked. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, about as hard as the floor itself would be..but the rooms, lobby and hallways are always clean. The surrounding neighborhood is decent and within walking distance from a Fresh Market (I love that store!).

I arrived and had to wait rooms were not yet available. I asked for non smoking and it said non smoking but it smelled really bad.

The refrigerator in my room was not working. I reported this to the front desk. The woman working there was pleasant. She reported the manager was going to look into this and I would be put in another room the next day. When I returned to the desk the next day, I was informed that there was a room available but it had the same problem. I lost food purchased that evening in that refrigerator. I asked if I would be compensated for lost of food and was informed that the manager would make that decision. It's been two weeks since I registered at the hotel and I have not heard anything from them. I was disappointed because my previous stays always went well.

Very pleased! Front desk very welcoming, very helpful, with hotel services and arranging taxi service to our important dates. Found Savannah easy to get around, and very easy drive to Historic District. Have recommended the ESA to our friends that visit Savannah frequently. Best Christmas!

I would like to give this hotel 5 stars due to friendly front desk young ladies, this location across Public Plaza with other restaurants & ice cream, easy get to Savannah historic downtown, mall, etc..... With the kitchen inside the room even we don't use it all the time but make us feel comfortable if we need it. The pricing associate with the room so we don't expect luxury service. Very enjoy our trip in Savannah! :)

I am a touring musician and stay in hotels well over 200 nights a year for the last 40 + years over time I learned that there was a easy way in and out of these places so I drew up a document that has everything a front desk would need before I get there and send it to the hotel the early morning before I leave the city and hotel I am in. Your front desk did not look at her fax machine that is right behind her so it took almost 20 minutes to get into my rooms.

We needed to check in early, but the front desk was rude and unwilling to help. They were rude and firm about a 3pm check in while stating that rooms weren't available, yet most of the 1st floor rooms were cleaned and ready. The A/C unit in our room didn't work, nor did the phone, and the room had an odor to it. Mattresses were ultra hard. Only positives were that they had extra coffee packets at the desk. Pay the extra $ and stay in the Historic part or anywhere but there.
